So I was thinking:

 

The Marvel and Star Wars properties are now all owned by Disney as we all know, and while I thought about them being featured in Kingdom Hearts 3 for awhile, I also thought there is no way it could possibly work with the MCU and numbered Star Wars movies. But what if instead, they used worlds and stories based upon the Animated Avengers Assemble universe and Star Wars Clone Wars/Rebels timeline. It seems to fit the Kingdom Hearts adventures perfectly.

 

Disney Infinity seemed to have pulled it off for the most part, the only downside I found with Disney infinity 2.0 and 3.0 was that it was a very kiddish and repetitive game even with their extreme difficulty mode, Not that I really want to get into that because that was their general target market.

 

But seriously guys imagine battling it out with Darth Maul...

Really my stance is that anything could work, so long as they do it right. Whatever qualifies as doing it right...well I guess it really depends on how they would do it. just want them to try something and then I'll see if I like it or not.

I'm still in the camp that thinks any Marvel and Star Wars properties in general being featured in Kingdom Hearts would be a flat-out disaster. Yeah yeah, it's 2016, I don't care. It just doesn't feel it would work. Animated or not. I love MCU, and I love Star Wars, but not mixed in with Kingdom Hearts.

 

And yes, Big Hero 6, confirmed for KH3, is Marvel. Technically. But really, it's a Disney property because it's based off a movie that is a Disney property.

I love both franchises dearly, but at first, I had the mindset that Marvel and Star Wars probably wouldn't work, but now that I've had time to think about it, I'm actually more open to the possibilities of having said franchises be a part of the Kingdom Hearts Universe!  Whatever the case may be, either if the live action films or animated series are used, I think Nomura will know how to implement them into the KH Universe, ya know?  So long as he gets it right, I don't mind seeing Star Wars or Marvel in Kingdom Hearts III or beyond!

i am opposed to this idea. i get that because Disney now owns Lucas Film and Marvel that technically makes them Disney property, but KH has clearly always been about letting you explore worlds based on classic Disney films. If you want to explore the world of Star Wars and Marvel through video games then there are a dozen other options for you to choose from. i don't see why people want this to happen other than "I really like these things and therefore they would fit in perfectly with this game that happens to base it's premise on a cross-over between two existing franchises." 

 

if you're that desperate to see Star Wars/Marvel in KH then go read some fanfiction. 

 

 

(i will say this though. if Nomura just HAS to take the horrible advice of the fans and add SW/M into the series, he'd be better off doing so in the next saga. At least that way a new saga could be see as a new start and allow him some room to experiment with world selection)

Nah, I'd rather have live-action Marvel and Star Wars in KH.

I don't like this idea at all. It should stay strictly with Disney films and maybe Pixar as well. It doesn't really matter whether you use the animated avengers or the animated Star Wars, they just don't fit the tone of kingdom hearts.

On this topic lmao.

I don't like the idea for a variety of reasons.

 

1) All the worlds in the Kingdom Hearts series (aside Timeless River) is full length features. It should stay as full length features.

 

2) The constant narrative of television series would be too convoluted to place into one Kingdom Hearts world.

 

3) Provide Marvel and Lucasfilm properties after Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix would be stupid to place all their Disney eggs in one basket.
