Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but since KHχ is closing in September...

...could this possibly mean 2.8 will be releasing in September?  We do know it will be released some time during this year, and since the date hasn't been announced yet, I can only assume it will be coming out in fall/winter, making September a good candidate.  The reason I think this is because since KHχ will be closing, the story will probably be coming to a close on the web version, making for a nice transition into Back Cover.  That's just my theory, anyway.  Of course, KHχ is only available in Japan, so perhaps it might be the Japanese version of 2.8 that may be releasing in September (if they're not doing a world wide release, which I doubt they are).  I know we have translations and Everglow to provide us English speakers with the lore, but I'm not sure Square does.  Anyways, what are your thoughts?

That's actually some good insight!  This is the first I've heard of this idea.

That's actually very well possible since KHUX has been released in JP and NA and hopefully for EU and PAL by then and we have XBC with HD2.8 this year so possibly HD2.8 might be out by then.

I don't think it will be coming out in September, that's when Final Fantasy XV is coming out.  Yes it is at the end of the month but even then they would still be competing with each other in some perspective.

At the very least that's the earliest we should be speculating. My bet is that it's some time after September, but they could probably release it that early if they wanted to, I imagine work on it would be done before Summer is over, if it isn't already.

I've been saying it ever since they said it was closing. It would also mean the 2.8 would come out Nov. or D

I don't think they care because it's 2.8, now if it was KH3 then yeah, but it's not.

ec. for us.

THIS. SQUARE ENIX WILL NOT RELEASE THEIR BIGGEST IP'S FOR THE YEAR, IN THE SAME MONTH!
