For those with a 980, 980Ti, Titan X or older line of NVIDIA GPU's, i highly recommend upgrading to the 1080 for optimal performance at 4K resolutions. The 1080 will be able to handle any upcoming AAA title (Battlefield 1, COD Infinite Warfare, Star Citizen, etc) at maxed settings 1080p @60FPS with no issues

mONSTER. I wish I could own one of those. Pricey. :/ I'll stick to my cheap ass chromebook lol

I recommend people to keep their old cards unless they can no longer play games. The 980 is still a great card.

I'll wait to see what AMD brings for Vega and Polaris before making my judgement.

Wait, this is cheaper than the Titan X and Faster?

Yeah i've got a 970. I think it'll do just fine for at least another year or two for me.

I'm urge for a Graphic's Card. But the price...

I generally wait two or three series before upgrading. Also, I thought that nVidia was going to start using HBM2 in their next line. Maybe they're saving that for their next Titan series, though.

HBM2 will debut with the 1080Ti and Pascal Titan which are rumored to be released next year

yep!

Is the price of the GTX 1070 similar to the GTX 980? and how good is the GTX 1070 compared to the GTX 980?

NVIDIA said the 1070 is more powerful than a Titan X and two 980s in SLI so its alot better. And the price is similar right now yes but the price of maxwell cards might go down after the 1080 and 1070 come out

to how much do you think they will drop and for how many years you think they will last?
