I'm just curious about how many people around know about Kingdom Hearts.

I'm not saying everyone because the adults around where I live don't know about it, but everyone who's fairly young has at least heard of it. KH is underrated in this forum ironicaly

i would say it isn't that well known. you bring it up to a few casual gamers and even they may say "Oh yea Kingdom of Hearts! That's the game with Mickey Mouse right?" 

 

basically it's not as well known as you'd like it to be. to the casual gamer it's another JRPG with a cryptic title and a number on the end.

I feel like it's known more for the Disney part of it, which kinda aggravates me because the game is sooooo much more. I have a few friends who play it, but other than that, I don't hear people talk about it much.

Yea its not as famous as I would like. My dad is a gamer and he sees it as a disney game. He calls it stupid because to him all you do is run around with a giant key. And too many cutscenes and not enough action. Its sad that its misjudged

I actually see people not so much talk about it, but rather express their fandom through wearing a necklace or t-shirt. I was in Walt Disney World once and was walking on to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster in KH3 terms) with a KH2 t-shirt. Just before entering the building, a female cast member said to me "I will never let you take Kairi's heart!" with a smile. I fangasmed right there and then silently. I know some people that have played the games and either like it, but not enough to be a devoted fan, like it and are a fan (just not as crazy), or are one of us crazy fans. I never have seen anyone outside of the internet (coughcoughIGNcoughcough) speak badly about Kingdom Hearts,

Only people in my house that know a bit of Kingdom Hearts from me is my parents. They don't know all of it because for me, the Kingdom Hearts series is HARD to explain. Even though i can understand it all without being confused.

No one that I know of ever talks about it... I'm not sure how many people play Kingdom Hearts outside of the 3-ish people that I know, loads of people talk about more recent games like Dark Souls...

Only some peeps better say my cousins ,my mother who actually bought KH for me when i was pretty young and some of my fellas i showed KH to let them actually like it.

Geez.. its rather rare to nothing that people talking about KH here where i live. Only me mostly.

When I talking to class members or some peeps about it or how they think about that game, they are pretty much biased and mostly saying:"Its Disney stuff in there, its probably for Kids" and so on.

But when its about Call Of Duty other Newcomers and Shooter or recent stuff...its everywhere.

I think only the Internet is the only place to talk about KH

I was just wondering if I was the only one who didn't know very many people who even had the slightest clue about Kingdom Hearts. It's a blessing if I come across anybody in school who has even heard of KH.

I've only met five people my whole life who knew of it or played it. 

Except for here, I've never heard anyone talking about it, and bringing it up just gets a blank stare at my local Gamestop.
