So, when you all get the game (I'm getting mine Wednesday) what strategy will you use to beat him? For me here my strategy:

 

Level up during Terra, Aqua' and Ven's story (that means fighting EVERY unversed I see. Often do command board to level up my commands. Obtain void gear from vanitas spirit. Use a lot of heals, potions, and elixers, and hit and run on him.

 

Oh, and by the way, a little advice for those who are planning on using land mines on him. Don't use it because HE WILL jump over them and dodge them like nothing without getting a scratch on him.

well im going to lvl up as high as i can but not equip any abilities really cuz in the guide it said to mostly hav potions cures and stuff that the abilities r usless on him. but ya im doin that hit n run thing too

yeah i'm just going to try and max out my commands, level, equipment, and have alot of healing oriented stuff

Well you HAVE to get Void Gear, because beating the Lingering Spirit is required to unlock the boss

And about the mines, the trick is to get him to attack into them, so he won't jump, and thus takes damage.

Using heals, detonate square, using Void Gear, and leveling up TVA up to at least level 65

I'll grind with TAV until they're a reasonable level to take him on, then i'll equip Void gear and probably only stick with one Curaga command in my deck. I'll also get the Second Chance and Once More abilitys. To be honest, it seems like the best method for beating it is just to normally attack it and use a command to heal whenever you get hit by it, and if you can throw in the occasional shot lock to hit MF with.

 

It will be a fun battle, i'm looking forward to it.

I noticed he makes your commands scatter like Sora's battle against Marluxia.

imm gonna level up and go to mirage arena to get hp ups and fight every unversed i see like you and get void gear from vanitas sentinent then im gonna shotlock spam and strike raid the firetruck out of him and then im gonna use my freind's d-link to pwn him up the buttt woot!!! e3xcited

im gonna spend half the game in the mirage arena to het maximum health and the ultima weapon!

I don't really have any strategy. Because i love playing reckless, it makes the game a lot more fun.

 

But i will probably find one while fighting.

Level terra up to 99, get all abilities/skill thingies, put two curga's and a megapotion on the sleigh, and pray to god i don't choke on one of his attacks.
