Nomura actually confirmed that the Master of Masters had appeared as the black hooded figure back in September 2015, in an interview with Famitsu. I believed this was the case and tried to bring this to people's attention but unfortunately some people assumed this wasn't right.

Oh yeah! I thought he was referring to the traitor then. When in the E3 interview he said the MoM was the black coat figure, it all hit me in regards to the 9/2015 interview.
