There are Technos, those who wish to create technology. Anthros, those who want to connect with Earth itself. The Medivals, those who focus more on the Dark Ages. And The Citys, which treat each culture equally and experiment by combining them in unique ways. But soon...A great evil is about to arise...The same evil that came in the past...And I assume you all want to hear the tale that will be told...The story of how an unlikely team...Allies...Friends...Came together and saved the world while facing hardships, discoveries, and regrets...This is the story...The Legend...The myth of how...In the City of Aquila...Where classmates joined together to explore the world never tamed....

A building that was the size of a Skyscraper stood alongside buildings of unthinkable height. People came and went on their normal lives, playing on their phones, trying to get to work on time, and of course, kids playing around on the sidewalk.

With everything that was happening outside, it was a very important day for some at the Aquilia Combat School. (The building that was as tall as a skyscraper)

In one room, many students, roughly 30-35 students, talked and roamed around Room 408, a class that specializes in offensive and defensive skills. One student wore a Red Mage outfit with a black feather instead of the traditional white feather. Her body was laid back in her desk, with her feet crossed and resting on top of her desk. Her hands were behind her head and her hat covered her eyes. Sure, the class was bit loud, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

"Today's the big day!" A female student said.

"I'm a bit nervous...I-I don't know if I'll do well..." A male student said.

"Hey, cheer up! We're all doing this together you know. We'll be by your side and help you out." A male student said with a higher-pitched voice.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh." Another female student suddenly said. She looked to be about 17, given her appearance and height. Her hair was long and blonde and her clothes were more on a rebel styled attire. A smirk was on her face as she overheard the recent conversation. She leaned on the side of the wall with her arms crossed and her eyes closed. "You low-lives won't even remember how to punch once you get there. Unlike me, you don't stand a chance." She said with a very confident, yet rude tone.

"Says the garbage bagged girl." The Red Mage said. The classroom giggled a bit at her comment. The Rebel clothed girl growled at the Red Mage and opened her mean eyes. "Shut it, Solisa. Once I'm through with you, you'll be "Sol-Loser"." The Rebel responded.

"Wow...." The Red Mage replied. "That pun was as outdated as your clothing. Not-To-Be-Sold." The class bursts into laughter. The Red Mage wasn't afraid of this cocky-bully. "Why you little...!" The Rebel then walked to the Red Mage's desk and slammed her hands on the Red Mage's desk. "Listen, you peeping pipsqueak. I'm trying not to get in trouble today. So shut up or else I'll pound you before the exam even starts! Got it!?"

"....That's it? You'll pound me? Sheesh, for trying to be a good student I'm glad you ain't an angel Sara."

"SHUT UP!!" Sara yelled out with rage. "Don't make me come back, you Mage maggot." With that, she took a deep breath and walked back to her spot, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.

Aaron has been more baffled by this girl than anyone in his life. She was so seemingly simple yet so complex. Although..."Ehh, sorry! My eyes hurt a bit!"

When he was sure that the color from his eyes faded, he turned back to Laz. "Ehh, yeah I'm fine! My, uhhh... Eyes hurt a bit. That's all!" Chuckling nervously, Aaron decided he'd go check out the rest of the ship. "Those rooms... I wonder what's inside, so I think I'll go check em out!"

A boisterous, annoying shout boomed through Aaron's ears. And that voice.... could only be one person.

"You know he's trying to hit on ya, riiiigghhhtt?" Called a voice in the distance. Aaron turned around to see the girl... Sara it seemed, from the other team. Troublemaker, all right. Trouble was written all over her face in more ways than one. She definitely does make her presence known, from banging on the desks and starting fights and now this... Ugh. Aaron wasn't entertained, and he had no lewd intentions in his mind.

... A smirk crept through Aaron's face slowly as he thought of Sara. He walked towards her, slowly at first, then faster until he was in a whisper's distance from her."Ironic to hear that from you. I bet the person you're into is dying to see you right now." Aaron spoke to her in almost a whisper, deviously. Aaron didn't bother covering up for his moment of weakness, not this time. It wasn't worth the struggle that she presented to the others. But he also saw it as an opportunity to tap into who Sara was. He just needed an opening to a soft spot.He stepped back, then shrugged his shoulders, slipping his hands into his pockets and leaning against the mast of the airship. "On second thought, not interested. Sara was it? If this combat exam is based on competition, then I'll be sure to make some waves." Another smirk. Aaron's eyes were almost snake like. "I hope you do too, for the sake of yourself and your team."

Aaron strolled away, satisfied. He hadn't liked her vibe since he saw her, and he didn't want to bother her anymore. It wasn't in his nature. Besides, he had some exploring to do.

Aaron chuckled nervously and stammered that his eyes were a little sore.  "Those rooms... I wonder what's inside, so I think I'll go check em out!" he blurted out and made a hasty retreat, leaving Lazuli befuddled.  Is he okay?  He's acting kinda strange... but then she couldn't help but wonder, Or maybe I was right about him the first time, and he is just like the others and sees me as inferior.

"Ya know he's trying to hit on yas, right?" someone called out to her, and Laz turned around and saw a sneering Sara saunter over, clearly wanting to cause a scene.

"Pfft, what are you talking about, Princess?" the bluenette snorted and laughed, "Look, I know blonde's ain't very bright, but surely not even you can be that stupid."

After she said this, Laz saw Aaron sneaking up behind Sara, and then lean over to whisper, "Ironic to hear that from you. I bet the person you're into is dying to see you right now."  The blonde nearly jumped out of her skin, and that made the Anthros snort in amusement.  Aaron smirked, and put his hands in his pockets as he leaned back, trying to look cool.  But after seeing just how shy he was, he ended up looking rather adorable to the Anthros girl.  "On second thought, not interested. Sara was it? If this combat exam is based on competition, then I'll be sure to make some waves," Aaron continued, "I hope you do too, for the sake of yourself and your team."

With that, he walked away again, though at a much more leisurely pace.  Good, I'm glad I didn't upset him.  Again, it would have been an excellent time to go exploring the ship, but now Sara was watching her.  And if Laz left to do what she intended, Sara wouldn't hesitate to rat her out.  I gotta find someone else to talk to, so she'll get off my back...

When Elsa heard Sara being stupid once again and this time toward Aaron, she turned and glared at her with glowing purple eyes. Soon enough, she summoned a Gaster Blaster and it started to go toward Sara, making sure that it didn't attack her, but chase and scare her enough to make her stop. This better work..., she thought, watching as the creature started to chase her around. She giggled a bit as she watched the chase begin.

Edited by KHUndertaleFan25

Laz didn't have to worry for long.  Soon, that same skeleton creature she saw earlier came back and started chasing the blonde poser.  Heh, pretty funny!  As amusing as it was to watch, now was the perfect time to sneak off.  Looking around closely, the teen saw that no one was paying attention to her, and she slowly took off.  Go too fast, and I'll definitely cause a scene.

Once she made it down the stairs into the main lobby, Laz once more made sure no one was near.  After not seeing or hearing anyone, she approached the nearly invisible mark she found earlier.  Now, what do you do exactly?  She ran a gloved finger over the mark, and it didn't do anything.  Hm, maybe... The bluenette channeled some of her magic into the mark, and it opened up the wall silently, leading to a dark hallway.

Ooh, perfect~ she grinned and took a little flashlight out from her pocket.  It was one of the few good things the Technos have invented in her mind.  Looking around one more time and seeing that the coast was clear, Laz turned on the light and entered the hallway.  Once she was fully inside, the wall closed back up just as silently.  Oh well, I'll figure out how to get out later, she thought, not worried in the slightest; she was used to such things after exploring so many caves and ruins.  And plus, now no one can find out I opened up this secret way and follow me.

Sara blinked twice, trying to process what happened. What just...How? "Sh-Shut up, will ya? Both of ya'll! Sheesh." She said. One smack-talker is enough for me right now. Then the blonde heard growling. She looked to her right to see a skeletal looking head, which made her jump a bit. "Wh-What are you lookin' at? Get lost!" Sara said, taking a few steps back. "D-Down! Down!" The Gaster Blaster didn't obey. instead, it chased, with Sara running away. "AAAAHHH! Just leave me the hell alone!!" She said, running around the ship.

Crack! "Elsa!" Ms. Genka's voice bellowed followed after the crack of her teaching staff. "I would usually be finding this by Sara or even Solisa, but I expected more maturity from you as an adult. Yes, I understand Sara's rude behavior and I will take care of it. Now please, end this nonsense." She said in a strict tone.

Where Lazuli was, the lights suddenly turned on, revealing what looked to be...A kitchen. A kitchen with sinks, an oven and a stove, shelves, microwave, a grill, and a refrigerator. It's unknown if the Anthros thief knew...But this was just a shortcut to the kitchen.

When Ms. Genka noticed the Gaster Blaster, Elsa's hands turned into fists and she muttered, "Well, that little girl better watch what she says..." Soon, the creature stopped chasing Sara and started to follow Elsa. She soon walked away from the railing and glared at Ms. Genka, feeling the rage and tension bubble up inside her. Then she looked away with tears in her eyes and ran to where Aaron was.

Elsa made a scene against Sara with her summon again. I knew it! Summons are so cool. But Ms. Genka's intervention made him feel bad for Elsa, and even Moreno towards Sara. Sara seemed possibly the lonliest of all of the people aboard the ship. He'd confront her later when everything was simmered down, but for now, he'd seen Elsa. She definitely was angry, balling her fists and storming, even as she approached him.

"You two look like you have a history..." Aaron said, politely and adding "Don't worry about me, I was just leaving." A calm, blue was in his eyes, almost as if they screamed to prove it but Elsa wouldn't know that. None of them told his emotions through his eyes, come to think of it. "I'm sure this airship has nor than just conflict — I feel like heading to the upper level. Wanna come?" Aaron held his hand out towards Elsa, and in doing so, scanned around for Laz, Grace and Solisa, none of them being anywhere in sight. He wasn't surprised by Laz's sudden disappearance, she seemed antsy from since she got into the ship. He did wonder what the other two were up to.

Kelon was seen still leaning on the mast, looking towards the distance, and looked in the direction of the noise. He let out a sigh as he looked on. He then started walking towards where the others were. He was wondering when he and the others will arrive to the site of the exams. He was patient, but he wanted to hurry up and get there so that it can be over with.

"We don't really have a history. I just don't like people who do stupid things." Elsa said, looking down. The Gaster Blaster purred against her, wanting to help her stop being so sad. She looked at the creature and, petting its face, said, "Thanks, Ricky. You and the others always know how to make me happy." Then when Aaron had suggested that they go up to the upper level, she smiled a bit and replied, "Yes. Let's go there."

Aaron headed up with Elsa, in awe by the scenery from atop the airship. The sky felt so much closer than lower down. Aaron cocked his head back, and inhaled deeply into the sky. The breeze hit his face, and when he opened his eyes, he ran towards the front part of the balcony. In the distance... He saw an unbelievable sight!

Edited by Sun Wukong

Elsa, too, felt that the wonderful breeze was better up there and closed her eyes again, wanting to enjoy the moment once more. Until she opened her eyes and saw what Aaron was looking at. "What is that?" She asked him, curious about the strange and unbelievable sight. The Gaster Blaster, whose name was Ricky, also looked on into the distance and was curious as well.

Aw what, this is it? Laz thought, completely flabbergasted at entering the kitchen.  The kitchen was certainly nice, with beautiful oaken cabinets that had lightly spotted granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, not to mention being absolutely huge, but it was completely ordinary otherwise.  But this can't be it; there has to be some secret in this place...

"Hey, what are you doing here?!" a deep voice boomed, and Laz turned and saw a huge man come in through the main entrance.  He didn't look too pleased.

"Oh, sorry, sir!  I was just really hungry cause I haven't eaten all day, and with the exam comin' up, I can't fight on an empty stomach, ya know?" she said with complete innocence.  She was being somewhat truthful; she really didn't eat anything and was quite hungry now that she thought about it.  Her stomach even growled to prove her point.

When the man heard that, a giant smile adorned his face and he laughed heartily.  "Oh ho, so I see!  Well, we can't let that happen now, can we?"

"Exactly!" Laz said, relieved that he believed her.  She stepped aside as he went over to get some stuff out of the fridge, and noticed his striped tail and cat-like ears.

He saw her staring and smirked.  "I can't let a fellow Anthros starve, now can I?" he chuckled at her stunned expression.  After getting all the igredients he needed, the man took them to the nearby counter.  "Is a ham and turkey sandwich fine with you?" he asked.

"Y-yeah," the teen stammered out, and went over and stood next to him as he started making the sandwich.  She was still a little in shock to see another Anthros here; they didn't live anywhere near Aquila.  Not to mention that she didn't really get along with other Anthros.  Not after they abandoned me.

This guy didn't seem so bad though as he introduced himself, "The name's Nick, and I'm the head chef here on the Enterprise."

"Neat.  I'm Lazuli, but you can just call me Laz," she said as she watched him.  Wow, I had no idea that making a simple sandwich could look so artful.

"Nice to meet ya, Laz," Nick said sincerely, and was almost done.  "Ya know, I saw ya'll come aboard, and noticed that you were the only Anthros among them."

"Yep, I am," she said as he handed her the finished sandwich.  He told her to wait as he went and fetched her some chips and a bottle of soda.

"Here ya go.  Now, don't tell anyone I did this for ya; I don't want anyone thinkin' that I'm playin' favorites," he said as he gave Laz the rest of the foodstuff.  "I'll be rootin' for ya, kid!  Show those humans what Anthros are made of!" Nick beamed at her.

The bluenette returned that with her own confident grin and replied, "Of course I will!"  They waved each other goodbye, and Laz went down the hallway to the left, since that was the only way to go.  Well, it sucks that I didn't find any secret room, but at least I got free food!  And that Nick guy seems nice enough, Laz thought and took a bite from her sandwich, Mm, delicious~  Leave it to Anthros to being awesome cooks!  She grinned to herself as she continued eating and walking, I'll go back to that place later and see if I can find anything.  There has to be a secret there after all; I mean it has all the clans' main traits, except for the Arabias.  But for now I'd better go back before someone starts gettin' suspicious.

Once Sara slid down and made it back on the ship's ground, she made a sigh of relief. "That was a close-"

Whack!

"OW!" A whack upside the head was Sara's consequence from Ms. Genka's teaching staff. "Wh-What the hell was that for!?" She asked while rubbing the back of her head.

"I told you to be on your best behavior and I meant it. Don't make me talk to you again or there will be an outcast for this exam." Ms. Genka said very sternly. She was more serious towards Sara than she was to Elsa. With those words said, she walked away from the rebel clothed blonde. Once she was gone, Sara scoffed and crossed her arms. Ever thought about me havin' a "best behavior" ya pretty hag? She thought in her mind.

"Attention! Attention fine students!" Said Cid over the mic again. "We are nearly approaching the Combat Exam site, so I'd suggest that you all head down to the dining area to grab a bite to eat!"

"They got food here!?" Sara exclaimed. Her stomach then growled, reminding her she didn't have breakfast. Better late then never... With food on her mind, she ran through the door, hoping to be the first one to the dining area. She went straight ahead down the hallway and opened the door to see beautiful round tables with white cloths on them with 6 seats on each table. "Woah...Heh!" She closed her eyes confidently. "Good thing I get the fir-"

"Hi Sara!" Sara flinched and slightly grimaced at the sound of that voice. "....Damn it..." She slowly turned her head to the right to see Solisa waving her hands with her eyes still having that ever-so-annoying sparkle, sitting on a white Chocobo, sitting next to Grace at a table. Her eye twitched at the sight as she made a forced smile. Th-This girl....

Grace was amazed by the dining area. She giggled when she petting Snow. "She's very beautiful." Then she looks at Sara when Solisa said hi to her. "Hey." She said to Sara. Grace chuckled quietly as she saw Solisa still some sparkle on her eyes.

Kelon had heard Cid's announcement, and began to make his way to the dining hall. He walked in the hallway with his arms folded as he walked. He was feeling a little hungry, so he decided to go get something to eat. He was thinking about the exam, although it didn't matter if he passed it or not, as long as he kept an eye out for anything strange, as he was already a warrior, keeping an eye on the world of Orbis. But for now, nothing strange seemed to be happening, and so, he decided to focus on the exam.

After a while, Cid announced that they are nearly approaching the area the exam will take place and suggested to go to the dining room and eat.

While Solisa ran around the airship excited and a bit loud, Anton still sat down and looked on the view below the airship. Although instead of being annoyed, he was quite curious about why Solisa was that much excited, but he still preferred to relax in the airship.

So they are giving us a meal before the exam? That's great! I thought I would have to do it while I am hungry... Anton quickly rushed to the dinning room, excited to eat. Upon entering the room, he saw that Kelon, Solisa, Grace, and unfortunately for him, Sara, were already there. Solisa sat on a white Chocobo. He sat next to her, asking about the Chocobo: "Hey there. That's an interesting Chocobo. I heard stories about white Chocobos, but it is the first time I see one with my own eyes. Is its place of origin is a snowy area? " Anton was used to seeing Chocobos back the kingdom he came from, and he was still always fond of them. He once read a book from the library in the castle that contained detailed information about Chocobos and the various types, including white Chocobos, asking Solisa about it to confirm if some of the information is valid or not.

"Attention! Attention fine students!" Said Cid over the mic again. "We are nearly approaching the Combat Exam site, so I'd suggest that you all head down to the dining area to grab a bite to eat!"

"Wow, so THAT'S the training site?" Aaron was astounded by the sheer... Sheer size of that thing!

"C'mon, let's meet the team in the dining area! I'm starving!" He said to Elsa, heading downstairs.

When he got downstairs, Aaron saw Grace's white Chocobo for the first time. He checked it out in awe: thinking chocobos were truly a marvel to see. Looking around at the others, curiously and listening to their conversation he saw that they too were amazed. It's amazing how Chocobos can bring so many people together. He thought.

Solisa giggled as she watched Grace interact with Snow. But then she heard a male's voice. She turned her head around to see the blue mage yet again, this time talking to her. I-It's him...The cute one... She didn't notice, but she was slightly blushing just by the sight of him close up. Her eyes were still sparkling. But she couldn't say anything. She only stared.

Sara snickered while watching this interaction. Cute boys were her weakness...This should be helpful for the Exams.

Through a square opening that showed the kitchen, Nick laughed as he saw the group of students entering the room. "So, what'll it be on your menus today? I'll take any requests!" He said.

Once Laz made it back to where they all entered, she heard Cid announce that they were almost to the exam area and that now was the time to eat.  Hm, but I already ate, she thought as she had finished what Nick had given her.  The Anthros quickly hid among the flowers and plants as the others started making their way down to the dining area.  What to do... I could finally explore more of the plain corner and find its secret since everyone will be eating, but they'll definitely notice my absence.  But, Nick could vouch for me; he did make me something to eat after all.  But, if I go down to the dining room, it'll be a good chance to know everyone...

She argued with herself for a little bit before her desire for adventure won out, and she went over to the plain corner.  Seeing that no one was here, she thoroughly checked every nook and crany that she could.  But, she didn't find anything.  Really?  Is there really nothing here? Laz thought impatiently and tapped her foot in annoyance.  However, she did that for a while and when she did it fifteen times, the floor underneath her gave way, and the bluenette fell in before it closed back up.

Ah, so there is something! Laz grinned and pulled out her flashlight, Or is this another trick?  However, when she turned it on, the light revealed a ton of dusty boxes and chests.  So it is a hidden room!  she stood up and cheered, Or at least a room that people have forgotten about, judging by all this dust.  The teen started looking through the boxes, and saw vastly different things; from clothing from every different city and culture, to beautiful jewels and jewelery, to all kinds of weapons and armor.

Oh God, I'm in heaven! she laughed in complete euphoria.  She had no idea where to start.  After grabbing a few jewels and weapons and armor, she saw a bright blue glow to her right.  Laz got up and walked over to it, and saw that it was coming from a beautiful and massive blue crystal.  Woah... the Anthros thought in wonder, and was about to touch it, when she felt the ship violently lurch, causing her to fall over.  What the-?!

Willow and Johnny had only just made it to the dining hall when they felt the ship shake. Johnny tumbled, but Willow needed only a second to reaffirm her balance. Perks of dragoon training, she thought to herself.Johnny stumbled to his feet, "Captain Cid, what's going on? Somehow I don't think the ship is meant to do that."

Kelon turned his head around, as he felt the shake, he was able to hold on to the wall to try to prevent himself from falling. His eyes narrowed for a second, and and shook his head. He could feel that this was no ordinary shake, as airships weren't meant to do this normally. He folded his arms as he looked around in the room. "Something's not right... This may be the beginning of our troubles..." Thought Kelon, mentally thinking to himself in his head.

The sound from the mic gave a little feedback, but soon cleared up. "Sorry for the jump-scare. Just a little slip-up from my end. Even I make mistakes. Hah hah hah! Nothing to worry about." He said through the mic.

Watching over Laz's back, seemingly not suspected or seen at the moment, Ms. Genka looked at the blue diamond from behind Lazuli. With a smirk, she commented:

"Lurking in places you shouldn't be, aren't we?"

Laz got back up once the ship settled, and dusted herself off.  "Lurking in places you shouldn't be, aren't we?" she heard a voice taunt, and the bluenette saw that it was Ms. Genka.  But, something was very off about her.  She can be a bitch at times, but she does mean well, the teen mused, but I can feel it.  Something's not right.

As she looked over Ms. Genka, Laz noticed something quite odd.  "You're not Ms. Genka," she stated bluntly, "You can't fool me.  I can feel the malice pouring out of you.  The real Ms. Genka can be nasty, but she can be very kind."  Laz pulled out the two daggers she stole earlier and got in a defensive stance.  "Who are you?"

"Ms. Genka" gave out a chuckle. The room's light slowly dimmed down, the hoard of gold and treasure was disappearing. The Blue crystal's light dimmed down and turned purple. Then the fake Ms. Genka's eyes suddenly began to glow dark.

Abandon all hope. The purple crystal then cracked and unleashed a strong force of dark magic towards Lazuli!

"Lazuli? Lazuli, wake up." Ms. Genka's voice could be heard. She was kneeling down next to a fallen Lazuli that seemed to be beginning to wake up in the hallway where the "trap door" was "found". "You suddenly passed out here in the hallway. Are you alright?" She asked, concerned. Perhaps that event was just a dream.

"Lazuli? Lazuli, wake up."  Said girl heard the gentle and worried voice, and stirred.  "What the.. what happened?" Laz slurred as she slowly sat up.  "You suddenly passed out here in the hallway," the woman answered, and then asked, "Are you alright?"

"Y-yeah, I'm okay," the teen replied, and rubbed her head.  Was that all just a weird nightmare? she wondered as Ms. Genka helped her up.  Wanting to make sure, she checked some of her pockets, and could feel the jewels she took from down there.  She also noticed the daggers she took out to fight with were missing, but she had the other weapons she took from there sheathed on her hips.  But that means-

"Ms. Genka, something's wrong!" Laz shouted, and ran over to where she had found the trap door.  Ms. Genka watched her as the Anthros started tapping her foot hurriedly and anxiously, before pulling her back.

"Lazuli, I think you're just a little air-sick," she stated and pulled the reluctant girl down the hallway, "Here, I'll take you to the sickbay until we arrive."

"No, Ms. Genka, I'm serious!" the frantic bluenette continued, "I saw it!  There was something down there, and it looked just like you, but it was evil.  And then the crystal started glowing a really creepy purple, and-"

"Please, Lazuli, I'm sure it was just a nightmare.  Now come on."

"But-" Laz wanted to continue until the ship lurched again, knocking them both down.
