There are Technos, those who wish to create technology. Anthros, those who want to connect with Earth itself. The Medivals, those who focus more on the Dark Ages. And The Citys, which treat each culture equally and experiment by combining them in unique ways. But soon...A great evil is about to arise...The same evil that came in the past...And I assume you all want to hear the tale that will be told...The story of how an unlikely team...Allies...Friends...Came together and saved the world while facing hardships, discoveries, and regrets...This is the story...The Legend...The myth of how...In the City of Aquila...Where classmates joined together to explore the world never tamed....

A building that was the size of a Skyscraper stood alongside buildings of unthinkable height. People came and went on their normal lives, playing on their phones, trying to get to work on time, and of course, kids playing around on the sidewalk.

With everything that was happening outside, it was a very important day for some at the Aquilia Combat School. (The building that was as tall as a skyscraper)

In one room, many students, roughly 30-35 students, talked and roamed around Room 408, a class that specializes in offensive and defensive skills. One student wore a Red Mage outfit with a black feather instead of the traditional white feather. Her body was laid back in her desk, with her feet crossed and resting on top of her desk. Her hands were behind her head and her hat covered her eyes. Sure, the class was bit loud, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

"Today's the big day!" A female student said.

"I'm a bit nervous...I-I don't know if I'll do well..." A male student said.

"Hey, cheer up! We're all doing this together you know. We'll be by your side and help you out." A male student said with a higher-pitched voice.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh." Another female student suddenly said. She looked to be about 17, given her appearance and height. Her hair was long and blonde and her clothes were more on a rebel styled attire. A smirk was on her face as she overheard the recent conversation. She leaned on the side of the wall with her arms crossed and her eyes closed. "You low-lives won't even remember how to punch once you get there. Unlike me, you don't stand a chance." She said with a very confident, yet rude tone.

"Says the garbage bagged girl." The Red Mage said. The classroom giggled a bit at her comment. The Rebel clothed girl growled at the Red Mage and opened her mean eyes. "Shut it, Solisa. Once I'm through with you, you'll be "Sol-Loser"." The Rebel responded.

"Wow...." The Red Mage replied. "That pun was as outdated as your clothing. Not-To-Be-Sold." The class bursts into laughter. The Red Mage wasn't afraid of this cocky-bully. "Why you little...!" The Rebel then walked to the Red Mage's desk and slammed her hands on the Red Mage's desk. "Listen, you peeping pipsqueak. I'm trying not to get in trouble today. So shut up or else I'll pound you before the exam even starts! Got it!?"

"....That's it? You'll pound me? Sheesh, for trying to be a good student I'm glad you ain't an angel Sara."

"SHUT UP!!" Sara yelled out with rage. "Don't make me come back, you Mage maggot." With that, she took a deep breath and walked back to her spot, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.

The Mu slowly got up, its legs wobbled a bit while trying to stand. It shook its head down to its tail. The Mu that was protecting it circled around its now cured friend. It even wagged its tail like it was a dog. "Aww. He's happy he's better now." Sara said, still in her kinder voice. The Mu that was cured ran up to Millicent and rubbed its head on one of her legs as a way to say thank you. It did the same for Sara, who picked him up and hugged him instead. "I'm glad your better too." She said. She placed him down and it ran to his friend. It chattered something to him. In response, the protective Mu nodded and ran to the left in the Maze. The Mu that was just cured used one of it's claws in a "Come on" gesture.

"Hm? You want us to follow you?" Sara asked. The Mu nodded and then it followed its friend. Sara looked back at her group, then back at where the Mus went.

"I think they trust us now. Come on, let's follow them." She said. The personality-changed blonde then walked forward, following them.

It looked like Grace and Solisa were about to finish off the last Night Light, when Elsa's summons took care of it.  Damn, I hope I can get an even cooler summon, Laz thought, and glare-pouted at Elsa, grateful that her face was hidden by the darkness.  As she went back and stood by the knight, Elsa apologized for taking away Solisa and Grace's chance of showing off their skills.  But they both said it was fine.

"Great job, all of you! Keep it up!" Aaron laughed and wrapped his arms around both of the bluenettes' shoulders, "I'm pretty lucky to have all you ladies cover my useless back!"  But the Anthros could hear the underlying embarrassment, and maybe even envy, in his voice.  "Alright, we're done here! Let's find those candles."

Grace agreed a bit nervously, and backed away, seeming to be a bit wary of the only male.  "Well, you'll get your chance soon, I'm sure," Laz said and gave him a friendly smile, before giving him some of her gear, "But for now, you can carry some of my stuff, since you said you're feelin' useless."  She laughed at his expression and ran up front.  I hope he'll like that gift I hid in that stuff.  I'm not so good at comfortin' people, or giving things face-to-face; don't want people thinkin' I'm super soft.

When Laz was ahead of the others, she saw a bright blue glow.  What the?  But when she blinked, it was gone.  It looked like the same glow that came from the crystal in my dream, she sighed, I hope that won't start becomin' the norm; I don't want any dreams trying to freak me out or anything.

After roaming around the first dungeon room for a some number of minutes, the Team has been successfully able to light the first four candles. And now, Solisa just about to light the last candle.

"Aaand...Boom!" The final candle stand was lit. "We're done! We got 'em all!" The Black Mage exclaimed. Just a few moments after, the room's light shined again in the same way when they first came in. A rumbling sound could be heard. The door to the next room opened right next to them, letting out a cool breeze from the other side.

Solisa jumped up in the air and pumped her fist up as well out of excitement. "Heh heh! Today's our lucky day, ain't it?" She said with a chuckle. "C'mon! Let's go bust this exam out of the blue."

The light flashed intensely in Aaron's eyes, but... He couldn't shake the feeling about this room. A cool, inviting wind wrapped itself around Aaron's body, yet the strange peculiarity of the cool tensed his muscles.

Holding his hood behind the draft, Aaron followed his teammates, keeping his uneasiness to himself.

He looked towards the armor he carried for Laz in his arm, a grunt escaping his mouth. People always misunderstood him, even if he was being a bit exaggerative. He shuffled through the items in his hand, then looking towards Laz. She wasn't afraid to show herself, her tail swayed in the breeze and her second ears perked in a cheery mischief. Anthros in his class weaved and bobbed their animal parts, without a care to the wind. Aaron adjusted his hood again.

The gear was full of interesting pieces. Blue accents lined throughout the inside of her armor. Something else, something small was there weaved between the pieces as well....

A smile slowly grew on Aaron's face, as he looked towards Laz. From behind, she didn't seem to let people in, from behind she too was misunderstood, but she was strong. Admiration for her flooded through Aaron. She was firm in her resolve, and he should be too.

"Thank goodness that's over. Now we can go to the next stage." Elsa said in response to Solisa, smiling when she fist-pumped the air. Elsa was also glad that the mage wasn't holding a grudge against her for stopping the last NightLight. She remembered what happened last time when she had a grudge against someone and it wasn't pretty. I still kinda regret not listening to Cosmos or Noel about Xathnan..., she thought, frowning a little at the memory.

Anton was surprised when Sara was more gentle than usual to the Mu who was hurt. He chuckled for a bit, then talked to the others. "So the short-tempered, arrogant blonde can be nice if she wants." Her request for Millicent to heal the small creature surprised Anton even further. She asked nicely this time, much less demanding. What's with that change all of the sudden?

When the Mu wanted them to follow it, the blue mage had his doubts about it, but kept these thoughts to himself. Still, there is always the possibility that Mu may lead us into a trap, instead of the exit.

He came towards Sara in order to ask her a question: "So Sarah? Out of curiosity...why did you act nicely to that Mu all of a sudden?"

Needless to say that throughout the whole trip, Laz was bored out of her mind.  There were no secret passages or treasures to be found anywhere.  You can't even call this place a maze, she thought glumly, its all just one big hallway with a few side paths that lead to the candles.  And after those Night Lights were takin' care of, there aren't any monsters here.  How dull.  Although, the Anthros would keep seeing that same blue glow every now and then, and it was starting to freak her out a little, but there was no way she was telling that to the others.

Finally, the last candle was lit, and a door opened up.  Unfortunately, there was a dense fog that came out of there, so it was hard to see.  Whatever, I've seen worse.  I'm not gonna let a little mist stop me, Laz thought and grinned, her tail wagging and ears twitching in excitement, Hopefully now somethin' excitin' will happen.

...Crap. Sara thought. I used my real voice instead...Dang it. I guess my cat's out of the bag...

"Well...I just knew he didn't mean any harm." Sara said. "You see...It might sound strange, but I can sense whether or not a monster is good or evil. I know I sound crazy when I say that, but it's just how I felt. He was just scared is all. The others were probably going to ambush us." She explained to Anton in her real voice. Sara felt a bit nervous actually telling someone what she felt, but maybe he didn't mind it...?

Meanwhile, the two Mus then stopped at a dead end sniffing the ground. They both looked up at the team and circled around the spot. "I think they found something. What is it guys?" Sara asked. The Mus turned around and tapped the spot with their tails. A hatch then opened, showing stairs that go down. Sara made a smile at the discovery. "You two were a part of this Exam, weren't you?" She said. The two Mus nodded and snickered.

Solisa ran down the hall in excitement, smiling at what else is yet to come. "Come on! The monsters ain't gonna beat themseeeeelves!!" The Black 'Red Mage Clothed' Mage found herself sliding on ice. "Woah, woah, woah!" She skidded and fell down on her butt while still spinning around slowly. "This is unamusing." She commented.

The air was colder and the breeze was almost freezing. Icicles hang on the blue ceiling. A path of ice and snow was shown moving forward.

This was an Ice Dungeon.

Come to think of it, this place reminds me of Snowdin. The cutest little snow-covered town ever. Except without all the icicles, of course..., Elsa thought, smiling a little at the beautiful dungeon. She immediately snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Solisa scream out in surprise. She noticed that the mage had slipped on the ice and then burst into laughter, clutching her stomach to keep herself from falling over. That was the funniest thing I've seen in quite a while! Well, besides seeing Sara getting shot in the butt by the small Gaster Blaster in class, then seeing her get chased by my Gaster Blaster friend Ricky on the ship., she thought, as she continued laughing so much that she cried.

Millicent followed Sara and the others as the Mus led them through the caverns. She wasn't close enough to Sara and Anton to hear anything they said, but regardless, the sudden change in Sara's mannerisms kept her attention. What could be going on with her? She's still acting more friendly... Maybe I'll have to ask her myself later. Millicent decided. Once they came to the stairs, she also realized that the Mus were likely intended to lead them here. "So, if we'd finished these ones off instead of saving them, we'd have a lot more trouble with this stage of test." She noted aloud. "True heroes are compassionate, after all. I suppose that Ms. Genka is testing us in all sorts of different ways." She smiled at the thought of it. There really was more to the test than just being able to fight, and Millicent was glad that Sara's sudden change meant that the team was able to succeed at this particular part of the exam.

The chill inside this place was ridiculous, although the breeze felt nice before, behind the door. Aaron tried staying close to the girls, trying to seem unfazed by the change of atmosphere. Laz's armor was so heavy, he could barely believe she could jump around so freely in it. He clutched the small treasure inside, beneath the armor, keeping it hidden a little longer.

Ice trickled down the slopes of stalactites as they walked, and the slipperiness of the ground increased with every step.

A shout echoed through the cave by Solisa, "Come on! The monsters aren't gonna beat themseeeeeelves!" She said, running into the cave with a hilarious slip and thud.

"But you might!" Aaron exclaimed, as he and Elsa laughed hysterically together. They laughed so hard that Aaron accidentally hit his head on hers, nearly sliding the hood off of his head, which he quickly swiped back up. "Sorry, Elsa!" He laughed again, thrilled by how much of a ball they had.

Standing back up and finally gaining his composure, Aaron decided to suggest "Hey, rather than rushing there, we should set up a Tent (usually an FF item that rejuvenates the party). Who knows how long we've been walking, and what's up further? We've gotta plan."

It's seemed to be a long day, starting in a classroom, with meeting Cid and his awesome airship, and then coming to this dungeon. Time seemed to slip by, but then again... He couldn't tell in such an artificial place.

Kelon looked on at what Sara was doing, and at the Mus with a stern look on his face, as he followed her. He realized by now that these Mus were part of the exam, this was something he didn't expect, that he admitted in his mind, but it made no difference to him. He folded his arms as he continued to watch what was going on. He was still thinking about Sara's behavior, and how she suddenly went from arrogant and rude to this sweetness and caring behavior. He was wondering if she had something for animals.

"I see..., and I do believe you. So you can tell if a monster is friendly or hostile even if they don't show any hints? That is a pretty useful ability, actually. Good job back there! " Anton said, with a completely friendly smile. It's probably better to ask her about her sudden change to us afterwards, I wouldn't want to make her upset now that she is friendly and cooperates with us. Still..it doesn't seem to be a coincidence that her ability fit this part of the exam .I guess this exam was designed based on our abilities.

Anton felt at ease after Sara pointed out that the two Mus were part of the exam, no longer suspecting that it is a trap. "I'll admit...at first I thought these two were just leading us to a trap or something... I am glad to see that I was wrong. "

"Ouch!" Elsa exclaimed as she felt Aaron hit her head and she, too, fell onto the ice. But one of her Gaster Blasters appeared and caught her before she fell. "Thank you, friend." She said, petting its face softly. The creature purred against her touch and helped her stand up right on the slippery ice, disappearing soon afterwards.

Grace laughs uncontrollably when Solisa fell on her butt and sliding away. She used her spear to hit the ice and hold onto it. "Are you ok?" She laughed and laughed until she calmed dowm. "Sorry about that." She said while giggling.

Once the fog cleared up a little, everyone saw that the new way forward was made of beautiful ice pillars and slippery, shiny ice paths.  Aw, nice!  I love winter places!  Laz beamed; even though she had no skill with ice based magiks, she still enjoyed the snow and the beautiful blue, cold crystalline ice greatly.

It seemed that she wasn't the only one who liked this, as Solisa ran forward, excited to keep exploring and fighting, only to slip and fall right on her ass.  "This is unamusing," the black mage pouted as everyone else started laughing.  Good grief; what a klutz! Laz thought.  It took a few moments, but after testing the ice, the blue-haired Anthros was able to glide along the ice with just her boots.  Ah, this is awesome! she sighed in bliss as she continued to skate around in circles, jumping a little and doing swirls.

"Hey, rather than rushing there, we should set up a Tent," Aaron suggested as he glanced around the new dungeon, "Who knows how long we've been walking, and what's up further? We've gotta plan."

"Well, we'll hafta continue on sometime anyway, so we might as well do it now," the Anthros retorted, "Besides, I'm not tired at all, and those Night Lights were pathetic enemies.  I'd like to fight something tougher!"  She skated up to an area of snow across from everyone else, and her foot hit something.  What the?  Stumbling a little, Laz stopped and brushed off the snow that was covering up a hidden chest.  Oh, score!  I wonder what's in here?

Solisa tried to stand up on the slippery surface. Her feet slipped a bit from getting up. Her arms flailed around in a circle trying to keep balance. "Yeah. Never better." She replied to Grace. Her eyes spotted Lazuli skating across the ice with ease. "Show off..." She muttered under her breath. She carefully raised one foot, then placed it in front of her. She had her arms out for balance so she won't fall again. The Black mage took a deep breath to focus. But she soon found her legs starting to spread apart...

Doing the splits. On ice. Which is cold.

A high pitched squeal could be heard across this cold cavern. "....I think I'm stuck now..." Solisa said.

Team 2

Team 2 was making their way down the stairway, which seemed to be a spiral downwards. Torches were hung on the walls to light the way down. "Watch your step. It might get pretty dark, so don't go too fast or you might trip." Sara said while walking down, looking ahead. She didn't really know where this would take everyone. She was feeling a bit nervous herself.

Thinking for a moment and letting his chin rest upon his hand in a thoughtful mannerism, Aaron replied to Laz "Hmmm, I guess so." Besides, he wanted to finally show off anyway as well. Aaron trudged through the ice — he never liked cold spaces. A controllable weather system would be nice in this cave, like the one he had at home. The "Dome". He enjoyed memories of his home, a sweet and simple landscape that always held the essentials — scientific advancements that helped people look younger and live longer, automatic food transformers that could turn a pig in a blanket into... pig in a blanket. Oh, the hamburgers he's made from that machine were delicious! He never had to be too hot or too cold at home either, since you could change how beautiful the weather would be. Maybe if they were still friends, he'd take the ladies there. Hopefully they'd enjoy it.

Aaron trailed the group, amused by their silliness. And Solisa was clearly the best of the bunch — she and ice werent the perfect pair.

That was an understatement.

Grace and Elsa bustled with enjoyment at Solisa's fall, and Laz seemed to have fun, skating around the ice. The way she twirled and danced along the ice reminded him of something he heard about in a fairy tale.... He couldn't quite remember, so he pushed the thought out of his mind for now.

Solisa was beginning to fall again! Aaron clutched her arm and tried helping her up with a light tug of her arm and his hand pressed against her waist for support, trying his best to keep himself standing on the very slippery ice.

"Pull yourself together!" Aaron tried holding back another laugh, grinning stupidly at her. She'd always seemed the most rambunctious of the group. It helped too, helped ease everyone's minds.

After the Gaster Blaster disappeared, Elsa started to put one foot in front of the other as she stepped on the ice carefully, but she only ended up sliding too fast toward Aaron and Solisa, who was helping her up. "W-Watch out!" She had exclaimed, but it was too late. BAM! She crashed right into them like a pair of bowling pins, knocking them all over. "Ow..." Elsa said, rubbing her head.

Edited by KHUndertaleFan25

Laz opened the chest, and sighed in disappointment.  But seeing everyone tripping and falling over the ice, she realized that what was inside would be useful for now.  "Oi, you guys," the bluenette turned around and saw that Elsa had knocked Aaron and Solisa down like bowling pins, while Grace was just barely standing and using her spear as a walking stick.  Oh yeah, definitely a good thing these were in here.

"Look at what I found," she continued and held up five pairs of ice skates.  She threw everyone a pair, and they all started putting them on.  "At least now you guys won't be fallin' all over yourselves, or we'd be here forever!"  Laz pocketed her own skates in her stash though; she didn't need them for now, and they might come in handy later.

Solisa caught the ice skates while laying on the ground. She grinned at the sight of the skates. Just what she and the gang needed. The Black Mage sat up and put the ice skates on. "Now this is more like it!" She exclaimed. Once the ice skates were on, she then began to stand up. She wobbled a bit, but didn't fall. Well, waddya know? No boom! She thought. Solisa then began to test out her new skates. She moved one leg forward, then back, forward, back.

She was starting to move across the ice! "Hey, I'm startin' to get the hang of it!" She said while skating around the icy area. "Woo-Hoo! This is more fun than I thought! Heh Heh!"

Elsa, too, caught her ice skates and sat up, putting them on. At least i know how to skate..., she thought. Then when the laces on them were nice and tight, Elsa stood up carefully and started to slide slowly. But she soon started to move forward and began to do a few tricks. "Whee!" Elsa exclaimed, doing a little ballerina-like spin into the air and landing gracefully onto the ground. "Oh, how i wish the brothers were here to see this. They would probably want to join in, too. Especially Papyrus..." She said to herself as she stopped skating, hoping that none of them could hear her as she looked up at the icicles in the ceiling.

Aaron, barreled over by Elsa and Solisa, held himself up from the ice. Although Laz had passed him skates, he silently declined, touching the pouch as it disappeared into thin air. The particles swirled, then packed into a small pouch Aaron pulled out of his pocket. the Technos of Aaron's family had invented. The "Pouch" www the ultimate storing system, holding an endless amount of things in such a small encasing. Aaron, bring who he was was able to snag a prototype.

Aaron could walk well enough on the ice, and if he ever needed to catch up, he could.
Or at least would try.

Solisa, Elsa and Laz were enjoying themselves. He watched them, almost forgetting that he was in a combat exam and needed to get through this dungeon.

Edited by Clouded Sun

Elsa started thinking about the day that she had met them, until she noticed something dark hiding behind one of the pillars. But it soon disappeared when she looked, which gave her a shiver down her spine. W-Why did that figure seem so... Familiar?, she thought, trembling a little at how the mysterious person looked exactly like the one who gave her these powers: W.D. Gaster. Though she pushed that thought aside and looked to Aaron, saying, "Now what was it about making a Tent here? I kinda want to see how a Tent can stay on ice."

Grace gets the skates and puts it on. She never skated before so she moves around slowly, but fell onto her butt. "I'm ok. My ass broke my fall. Don't worry, I got this." She gets up shaky and started to skating around.
