Please happen, I'd like to play this game at 60 fps. Final Fantasy characters are already PC approved since that franchise has had huge success on steam. Mods would probably be prohibited since Disney are strict with their properties, but PC is very profitable

PC is currently the highest selling platform, so it's a huge cash grab for Disney. There are a lot of JRPGS on steam that have had good success like Tales of Zestiria. KH3 is also being developed with Direct X11 which makes it perfect for PC.

 

However a PC port wouldn't release for at least 6-9 months after the console release. KH3 on an XBone shows that they don't mind the game being multiplatform.

 

For a game that looks as graphically impressive as KH3 I don't think a PS4 and an Xbox One will do it justice. I definitely want a PC port.

KH3 at 60 fps on a PS4 and an Xbox One? You can't compare a 3DS game to a game made strictly for PS4 and Xbone. Dude, FF15 can't run at 60 fps on console, they had trouble getting it to 30. DDD is a 3DS game. No way is KH3 running at 60 fps on an Xbox one let alone a PS4.

mDDD is a 3DS game formerly, so it can run at 60fps on a PS4.KH3 is being made on UE4 using DX11, consoles are underpowered and the game is large. Nomura even said that the play volume is overwhelming. Therefore, there is like a 5-10% likelihood of KH3 running at 60 fps on an Xbox One or a PS4. PC gaming isn't intuitive to set up and is more frustrating than it's worth, digital only (or practically digital only) sucks, high cost to run anything amazingly, the PC master race. There's a bit more to it than that, but those are some of the big ones. I just vastly prefer the console life. If KH3 came to PC, they'd force my hand because I need the best version of that game, which would kill myself on the inside, my wallet, and my patience for setting things up without everything going to hell.

 

EDIT: And for what you edited, yes. firetruck the PC market. This is the one thing I will be selfish about with no regrets.

Setting up the hardware? No, I'm talking about the problems with the game itself. Stuff that doesn't work for unexplained reasons, and running poorly for no apparent reason even though you have the right specs.

 

Some are on disks, I don't think most ports are, though.

It's the straight up truth. And that simple. It's unfair for people who supposedly loathe and hate the PC platform to disregard all the facts that are right there in front of em. Consoles are great with first party software. Nintendo is great because however weak the Wii U is, they supported that shit to the very end. Busting out amiibo Splatoon Smash, they never pushed it to the side like Sony did with the Vita, never said it was trash like Sony did. I'm a resentful Sony owner maybe, I have every PS console and every PS handheld in existence. I loved my PS2. I loved my PS3. I loved my PSP. But I hate Sony crapping in the face of the Vita and they will do the same to vanilla PS4 since it'll be old news whenever Neo comes out.

It will very likely come to PC, due to the fact that their is a lot of money in PC Gaming, the port will be easy if you want to know more I made a post a while back about the possibility of a PC Port for Kingdom Hearts 3 which I also would argue would be much easier to port than Final Fantasy XV.  It could actually take skilled 12 guys to port like the Batman Arkham Knight Port. The problem with the port wasn't necessarily the people, but the amount of time it took to port, thus making it a very cheap port to make as most ports are.

Just cause it can be done doesn't mean it will. Yasue had practically nothing to say when they made KHIII multiplat yet, the interviewer asked why 2.8 isn't. It could very well be the same — just sacrificing sales because.That being said, Unreal Engine 4 makes porting stupidly easy, with only minor bug fixes and adjustments. I'm using the tools myself and can atest to that — to pack as a PC game it's simply a click of a button.

Hmmm, those are some things I haven't thought of before. If Steam has an install base for Disney games, that alleviates the worry of Disney's DRM. I guess it can be possible, and like I've said it's very plausible.

Wii U emulation is already well into development. Unstable but developing. Since PC and PS4 and Xbox One are rather close in architecture, it'd seem to be much easier to emulate those so it could well be possible. I wonder if dumping PS4 disks will be a hassle.

Well they've already got motion emulation with the Dolphin emulator for Wii. I'm sure it's not so different from that.

I honestly don't care about framerate (unless there are major drops) or mods. Then again, I don't have a PS4, but I do have a PC. Then again, it's not some high-end gaming machine or w/e, so it probably wouldn't be any different than the consoles framerate/quality wise, except I'd have to use a keyboard or hook up a controller.

... Yeah, if there is a PC port, it had better have XBox/PS/whatever controller compatibility, because I wouldn't want to play it with a keyboard and mouse.

PC gaming is more expensive? lol, not really. I bought parts for a PC that totalled around $300 (100 dollars cheaper than a PS4 or Xbox One at launch) and it ran most games at around 30 FPS. You just need to know what you're buying and what it's compatible with, instead of just saying "oh, hey, this CPU is 500 dollars, so my PC's good now."If you use Steam, there are sales on even AAA games very often so a game that's normally $60 may be $40 on sale or even $30 (it's happened). Even if Steam prices are too expensive for you, there are also other online digital marketplaces for games such as G2A (although it may not be as trustworthy as Steam).Yes, DDD ran at 60 FPS on the PS4 but it was also originally on the 3DS, a handheld with various limitations that made it impossible to be 60 FPS (hence the sudden FPS drops when facing a horde of enemies). Because the PS4 is a console with proper parts that can handle those graphics and much more, it was likely hardly a challenge to upgrade the game to 60 FPS.

 

However, Kingdom Hearts III from what we've seen so far is a very graphically intensive game with environmental effects, much more refined models and graphics, and much more going on behind the scenes. While, from what we've seen so far, it's not as intensive a game as FFXV, it won't be nearly as easy to bump to 60 FPS as DDD on PS4 was. I can see it being 30 FPS no problem at this point, but anything above that could be trouble at this rate.
