Hey guys, I have been wanting to set up a KH13 tournament in celebration of the upcoming Sun and Moon hyptrain bitches. Before I set the actual tournament, I wanted to see if this is something people would actually be interested in doing.

 

Obviously,the more people we have the better the quality of the tournament. If we get enough people, I also think it would be fun to set up a draft style tournament. So consider this an interest check/sign up thread. Just post below whether or not you're interested, and if you want to enter the tournament. I'll keep an eye on this thread for the next four days.

Edit: To clear up some confusion draft league format is a lot friendlier style of tournament. Basically what happens is all participants will draft pokemon from each tier (3 OU mons,3 UU mons, 3 RU mons, 3 NU mons) at the beginning of the tournament. The Pokemon you pick will be yours for the duration of the tournament to be used in any combination, you want during each battle. Depending on the number of participants,everyone will battle each other at least once and the best four records go to the playoffs. This style of battling is a lot friendlier for casuals as you will know what to prep for instead of going in blind.

 

Edit 2: I'll add a list of the competitors who have confirmed as we go. Ideally I would like to get at 12 people before we start.

Mono-types battles can be fun but I don't think it makes for great tournament battles lol. But we could always find a way to incorporate it.

I'm interested, and if it's showdown, then I'm ok with everything, if it's on the actual game... I could do EV training but IV NOPE

Casual or Competitve: As I said before, if we do this on the game, not TOO competive, because that would take way too much time (and I'm not really a competitive player myself). On showdown there's basically no difference since you can build your team in minutes.

For the sake of convenience and fairness, we will indeed be using Showdown.

I remember a tournament we held a while back using the Pokemon Showdown site but one ended up getting canceled if I remember correctly

 

I do have a 3DS and both X\Y and OR\AS but I think we should use showdown

 

I need sometime to decide whether I should join or not cuz I left the Smogon format two years ago and went to VGC double battles instead

I've never done it before though. In a way it's kind of freeing because I don't have to think about synergies too much, but I'm hard pressed for a team right now '-_-
