Anyway, yeah, this is actually one of the few youtuber KH theories I can get behind. It makes sense based on what we already know, it allows Maleficent (THE Maleficent, no time travel clone, no memory illusion, no data copy, no book created facsimile, just the real, current, been-there-from-beginning-to-most-recent-events, MALEFICENT) to be relevant again, makes good use of plot points brought up in previous games, establishes Re:Coded as relevant to the plot for much more than giving Mickey and Sora a reason to return to the fight, and presents a really compelling twist to both the supposed ending to KH X and the ever expanding plot of KH3.

 

It certainly raises a lot of interesting questions too. Like, is this a Data-Player, or the real Player trapped in a digital realm? Was this originally the Unchained state that you were meant to reach and did Maleficent's meddling change or interfere with it's nature? How would she have gotten access to the digitizer/encoder/Tron-thingy/whatever it's called (she ain't no tech wiz and Pete isn't really much help in that department either)? And will we still be able to further and contribute to the story that leads to KH3's conclusion despite our current predicament? I really can't wait for these questions to be answered. After being so cynical of so many people's suggestions (yeah I admit I've been doing that alarmingly a lot lately, sorry), I've finally found something I can get behind, even if everything is crystal clear and brought to light yet. The logic just feels so there for me, in a way more than any other theory I've come across lately.

I like this theory as well. It makes a heap of sense if you think about it.

Best theory so far, I'm completely down with it. No objections.

This is the best explanation to date. The thing that I beg to differ on is Maleficent having the Book of Prophecies. She was after the journal of Jiminy's and failed to obtain it in HD3D. How could she have obtained the Book if she still did not get the journal? Maybe we have yet to see that with HD2.8 in 0.2BbSFP or KH3.
