Kingdom Hearts 3D "Mark of Mastery" Collector's Edition announced

DChiuch

Square Enix have announced a collector's edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] in North America, called the Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] MARK OF MASTERY EDITION. This set will release on North America on July 31, 2012 for a price of US$54.99! It contains the following:

- Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Game, the seventh entry into the series
- 12 Kingdom Hearts 3D Art Cards with chronicled art from the full series
- 5 Augmented Reality (AR) Cards that unlock rare Dream Eaters
- 360° display viewer for in-game Dream Eaters
- Nintendo 3DS Protector Case specially designed for Kingdom Hearts 3D

Some of the Dream Eaters that this bundle unlocks are Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon, the last two of which have of course just had their English names revealed from this. A photo of the Mark of Mastery bundle can be seen below. It looks amazing, definitely worth it!

Update 1: The Kingdom Hearts Facebook page have uploaded a large version of the boxart for the Mark of Mastery Edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D. You can see this below. (Click for a much larger image!)

Update 2: An Amazon page has now been created for pre-order for US fans. The price is listed as $54.99, a mere $15 more than the game by itself. Thanks to Loki from KH13 for the find.

Update 3: Thanks to Nobody from KH13, we now know that GameStop have created a pre-order page for the Mark of Mastery Collection's edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D. Great news for those who wish to purchase it!

Ok so i did call gamestop (actually 3 different ones) and the two where i didnt preorder, said that they have the collectors edition ready to be preordered. The one gamestop where i preordered kh3d about 2-3 weeks ago, told me that i have already paid for the collectors edition even tho i only paid the full which was 43 dollars and change 0.0 so does that mean if you already preordered kh3d at gamestop, you are automatically upgraded to the CE with NO cost???? 0.0

i thought they ship for the release day if you choose first class? as tons of people have sometimes got it before the actual date of release. but most people got it on the day. but that might just be EU

So, another question. When this is completely released- are the AR cards going to be put up for all all of the rare dream eaters, or are we going to have to get really lucky in game?

My 10th anniversary box now feels less valuable D:

Ah well, at least I can keep it sealed now (for collectors purposes, and possible re-selling value) and still enjoy the contents if it comes to the PAL region. It's awesome that English fans get these bonus's aswell without having to re-buy Re:coded and Days again!

Where do I pre order and can I get the game and all that stuff or do I have to get the ds because I have obe

That's just what I've heard, I've never actually pre-ordered anything online. But they always say "ships *insert release date*". owo;;;

So yea, if it comes out to US only you can always import it if you are from other regions. ;)

I hate to be a buzzkill, but the 3DS is region locked. So you'd be doing so without being able to play the game unless you own a American 3DS. :/

I don't quite understand the question, sorry. Would you mind wording that a bit better? Edited by Tsunamo

Oh sorry, I meant for collecting not literally playing the game, I have the game on JP and a JP 3DS but I only got an hour spent on it. Not really want to play it whole in JP text. I plan to play it on english text. But if you are a collector like me, there will always be a way to import, is what im saying. ;)

Oh yeah, for sure! I have a Japanese 3DS, the game and the 10th anniversary box, and don't at all regret importing :D

(although I'm a bit different, I don't mind playing in Japanese, I can still enjoy the game even if I don't understand it)

I think this would of been a lot better if they have retained the silver box, like the japanese had had, but otherwise..........AWESOME!!!

p.s and its so much cheaper than the one in Japan

lucky i hadn't pre ordered yet :D

Is it true that people who already preordered at GameStop are getting upgraded to this for free but if you haven't preordered it yet you'll have to pay $55? Because that is completely unfair!

Guys, guys. This isnt the collectors edition gamestop is talking about. The collectors edition is the copy of the game that has the three AR cards in it reserved for people who preordered it. We just have to wait and see if gamestop gets this edition.

this is available for preorder or can you buy it when it comes out? o.o cause theres no way i'm missing out on this! xD

It's avaliable for pre-order, but if you're lucky you might be able to buy it when it comes out. It really dpeends on how many pre-orders there is on the edition, and how many leftovers stores have. I'd definately pre-order to be safe though!

The cards will work, however, the game will only work on North American region 3DS'. The Australian 3DS is PAL region and can't play NA 3DS games.

Just go in and change your preorder to the Mark of Mastery edition once GameStop has it in their systems. If you wait until release, they probably won't have any because they only get shipped however many were preordered.

Thats the thing, I have called them several times describing this detail by detail and they insist this is what it is (MoM CE).. So Im going to wait a few days and call a third time to verify ,

I would suggest waiting until you see it on GameStop's official site before calling the stores.

The only problem with that is sometimes things are available for preorder in person in stores before the online store is updated and vice versa.

This looks awesome, I really do hope Europe gets something too. We seem to get left out of the loop a lot. We still haven't got Re: Chain of Memories.

Urghh, NA get all the good stuff once again... To be honest, I'd rather be the ones getting the game 11 days late if WE got all these bonuses. Europe hasn't even been announced to have those 3 AR cards yet...
