Kingdom Hearts 3D tops the charts in North America

Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], which released on July 31, 2012, is continuing to sell extremely well in North America. VGChartz have released sales information for the game for the first two weeks of its release (July 31 -- August 4, and August 5 -- August 11), and we can see that in this time, Kingdom Hearts 3D sold 261,763 copies. This means that as of August 11, 2012, Kingdom Hearts 3D had already sold 736,483 copies worldwide. Very impressive! To put this into perspective, have a look at the weekly chart for USA. You'll see that Kingdom Hearts 3D is at the top!

Those are not huge numbers for what a game can do, but I guess it's a 3DS game also. I think it is deserving of huge numbers though.

Well it is the actual sequel to kingdom hearts 2 since we've been getting games from different parts of the kh timeline. I think that helped. Also 3ds so yeah that helped.

Sony just needs to put kh3 on ps3 (If they dont I will complain [ps3 owner]) and xbox. Reason being that if they do that just under a fourth of there profits should be from xbox. This is all just math based on alot of games that have done this. Most notably catherine.

Hopefully square will take this a sign to really start putting out more kh titles. Maybe even countinue after kh3?

That's good news to hear. But Kingdom hearts 3D has some serious competition now that New Super Mario bros. 2 is out. And we all know that franchise sells like hotcakes here in America (as well as Japan). So I'm interested to see which game will sell the most copies.

Well mario should since it is mario on nintendo's console. I would like to see the headlines though!

Kingdom hearts 3d sells more copies than nintendo's own mascot! :P

Aw but yeah.

Pretty good, especially on the 3DS. I think if they put KH3 on PS3. Then the numbers will rise!:D

Hopefully square learns that releasing games during the summer actually helps sales.

And we get more time to play them, so everyone wins!

Not exactly record breaking numbers, but still pretty nice. Can't wait 'til it reaches one million.

I still want it to beat Japan's sales numbers...

That is one big goal my friend. ;)
