It would be really interesting if this entire DLC is just showing how Sora saves Kairi and has to redo the events again, but with the benefit of knowing the future.

"His statement regarding "Terra" and "them" can only mean Ventus and Aqua."

Alternatively, "them" could mean Terranort and Lingering Will, as seen in the next shot. Lingering Will is Terra's willpower (and possibly part of his mind? I think I remember Terranort saying as much during their Birth by Sleep confrontation) and Terranort is Terra's body, with his heart imprisoned inside. No matter which one wins, Terra loses.

You erroneously referred to Kairi as a princess of light when she is actually a princess of heart. You also used altercation when you probably meant to say alteration or alternative.

As for your speculation that she has gone to the Final World many times before when her life was in peril, that is unlikely as her heart went into Sora’s during KH1 and she remained whole unlike the other guardians in KH3 when the tornado of Heartless swallowed them; she waited in that darkness to meet Sora again. Her light held Sora together when he ended up in the Final World after HIS life was endangered. The only instance where she could have gone to the Final World herself due to her life being threatened - or in this case, her life being taken - was after Xehanort murdered her.

Ok I’ve played every game in the series and know the lore pretty well, but what the hell is a “princess of heart”? And when was it referenced/stated to be a thing? I legit don’t remember ever coming across that phrase before.

Noted! Thanks for the corrections! As for The Final World speculation, I was only specifically referring to this game, not the prior ones. I understand what you are saying though. That scene is just a bit hard to really infer without a bit more context.

I was more interpreting "them" to mean Lingering Will and Terra-Xehanort since it literally would be bad for Terra if either of them died, one being whatever is left of Terra's will and the other being his original body. If they both killed each other off, then Terra would be gone forever, so that seems a little more plausible to me than simply being Ven and Aqua in danger and Terra needing to save them (been there done that). But who knows, it could be that too, I didn't really think of that the first few times I watched.

there's no doubt the first superboss clip is vanitas. just compare this clip to the clip from the trailer. plus, there's this shot where you can clearly see vanitas' smooth helmet partly see his manskirt.

I was thinking it would be something like that. My theory was that as Sora's looking for Kairi, he's going to meet Chirithy and discover that they've been in some kind of time loop and that discovering what happened in a previous cycle of that time loop (being Re:minded of it) is somehow the key to finding Kairi. But honestly, I think your interpretation is spot on and much more likely.

Really hoping to see Sora save Kairi/Kairi playable in the DLC
