Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura talked with the Game Informer staff about Kingdom Hearts III. Specifically, they had asked him about the inclusion of the Gummi Ship in the game. He says it'll be in the game but he cannot yet reveal how it is or what's become of it.

Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura recently spoke with the IGN staff about Kingdom Hearts III at D23 Expo 2017. While discussing the possibility of Kingdom Hearts III on Nintendo Switch and the rest of the series to go on Xbox, Nomura also discussed if there will be more playable characters in the future. Nomura says that it would be tough to introduce many playable characters, but he intends to have another playable character aside from Sora.

Following the announcements made at D23 2017, including a new Toy Story world and a new, lengthy trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, series director Tetsuya Nomura talked with the staff of IGN. In speaking with IGN, Tetsuya Nomura claims that their main focus is releasing the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Kingdom Hearts III, but that they will consider releasing Kingdom Hearts III for the Nintendo Switch. Nomura also talked about possibly releasing Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX on the Xbox One, saying that it is in consideration but that there might not be enough interest besides with the Western audience.

Kingdom Hearts mugs and bags are now available to pre-order through the Japanese Square Enix E-Store. They will be releasing on September 23, 2017.
 
The artwork on them, titled "BOND", "AIR", and "COMING" was first used for special acrylic stands that were originally pre-order bonuses for whoever in Japan pre-ordered a physical copy of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and were later made available for the public to purchase on the Square Enix E-Store.
 
Now, this artwork is being featured on three different mugs and three different bags. You can pre-order the BOND mug here, the AIR mug here, and the COMING mug here. You can also pre-order the BOND bag here, the AIR bag here, and the COMING bag here.

Square Enix Merchandise have announced three brand new Kingdom Hearts III BRING ARTS action figures of Sora, Donald, and Goofy. The figures are of the trio as as their toy versions from the newly announced world of Toy Story. You can view the renders below. Pictures of the actual figures have not been published yet.

Toy Story was just announced as a brand new world in Kingdom Hearts III, which is set to release in 2018. You can watch the Kingdom Hearts III - D23 2017 Toy Story trailer here.
The official Square Enix North American online store has updated their site with a brand new Kingdom Hearts III Bring Arts Sora (Guardian Form) and is now available for pre-order. The Bring Arts figure will cost $69.99 USD and releases at the End of September 2017.

During the D23 Expo 2017 in Anaheim, California, Kingdom Hearts III was given an official release year of 2018, via a new trailer shown at the event.
 
This follows last month’s Kingdom Hearts III Orchestra Trailer and the recent reveal at D23 of a trailer and of the new Toy Story world officially confirmed to be playable in Kingdom Hearts III.
 
After the game was announced at Sony’s E3 2013 Press Conference, fans have been waiting for a release date and now we can mark our calendars and wait a bit longer!

UPDATE: Square Enix Holdings have released their Financial Briefing Report for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018 ("1Q FY2018/3"). While discussing their future pipeline in the report, they reiterated, once again, that Kingdom Hearts III has been announced to be releasing in 2018. Beginning on July 14th and continuing through the 16th, D23 Expo is the ultimate Disney fan event where major Disney-owned companies and trademarks make various announcements related to Disney movies, games, etc. to create the ultimate experience for Disney fans.
 
During the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra - World Tour - in Los Angeles, a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III was shown. At the end of it, a message was shown confirming that on July 15th, at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, a new world and a new trailer would be shown for the game. It was later confirmed that Kingdom Hearts III will be at the "Level Up! The Walt Disney Company's Video Game Showcase" at 1:00 PM PDT at the D23 Expo Arena. Yesterday, July 14, 2017, was the beginning of D23 2017, and today, July 15, 2017, is the day that they have had the new trailer revealed. Just as planned, it was shown at the Level Up! conference.
 
The Kingdom Hearts III segment of the panel was last, with the Star Wars and Marvel segments being showcased before. Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix Product Manager Kaori Takasue came on stage and talked about the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra - World Tour -, Kingdom Hearts Union χ[cross], Kingdom Hearts III, and, of course, revealed the new world, Toy Story, and the new trailer.
 
After the trailer was shown, Pixar Animation Studio story supervisor Jason Katz and Pixar Animation Studios associate creative director Tasha Sounart came onstage to discuss the new Toy Story world. Tasha Sounart helped work on the Toy Story world with the art style, creative direction, and animation. She said one of her favorite things to work on was to help design the toy versions of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, as well as the Toy Story Keyblade. They also confirmed that the Toy Story world will have a brand new story, never before seen in any of the movies, just like the Big Hero 6 world. To close it off, Nomura said there's more announcements coming and expressed his gratitude. UPDATE: Thanks to the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account, we now know the name of several of Sora's Keyblade transformations. The gun-type transformations we've been seeing in trailers are called the double Arrowguns and the blaster they transform into is called the Magic Launcher. Also, thanks to the new trailer, we now know that the hammer that the Toy Story world Keyblade can transform into is known as the Hyper Hammer.
At today’s Level Up! The Walt Disney Company’s Video Game Showcase at D23 Expo 2017, Square Enix has showcased a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III giving us us a first look at a brand new world set in the Toy Story movie through a trailer.

Kingdom Hearts acrylic charms and badges are now available for pre-order on AmiAmi. The acrylic charms are available with a 8 piece set and the badges are available with a 12 piece set. The 8 piece set comes with Sora, Xemnas, Axel, Saïx, Demyx, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua acrylic charms, while the 12 piece set comes with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Sora, Roxas, Riku (Data-Riku), Ventus, Goofy, Terra, Isa, Lea, Vanitas, and Aqua badges.

At the first Orchestra concert in Los Angeles, California, Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that Kingdom Hearts III will make an appearance at D23 Expo 2017 on July 15th. This appearance includes a brand new trailer and a new world announcement. The official D23 website confirms that Kingdom Hearts III will appear during the Level Up! The Walt Disney Company’s Video Game Showcase at 1:00 PM USA PDT inside the D23 Expo Arena.
 
During D23 Expo 2015, Square Enix revealed a brand new world featuring the Disney film, Big Hero 6. What will they have in store for us this time? Stay tuned throughout the event to find out what announcements will be made for Kingdom Hearts III!
