Disney Infinity Discontinued

In an 2016 fiscal earnings report released by The Walt Disney Company, it was listed that the company would be discontinuing Disney Infinity. Disney Interactive later released a statement on their website confirming this news.
 
Unfortunately, this announcement confirms that there will be no future collaborations between the Kingdom Hearts series and Disney Infinity. The Kingdom Key was announced as the Ultimate Unlock for Disney Infinity 3.0 at D23 2016 and attendees also received special power discs that allowed their Mickey figures to don his outfit from the Kingdom Hearts series. The Ultimate Unlock became available in Disney Infinity 3.0 as of March 15, 2016.
 
Disney Infinity will release two final play sets for the upcoming movies Alice Through the Looking Glass and Finding Dory before ceasing production. The Alice Through The Looking Glass play set will release May 2016 and the Finding Dory play set will release in June 2016.

New Agrabah-centered story update for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi]

With only a few months left in service, Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] continues to move forward as the climax of the story approaches. This latest update focuses on the continuation of the story in Agrabah, where Aladdin is still searching for Abu.

Zootopia medals and avatar outfits come to Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ NA

For a limited time, those playing the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ can obtain outfits and medals inspired by the latest Disney animated movie, Zootopia.
 



 
From 5/2 - 5/15, a new Event quest has been added. Simply go to Menu -> Quests -> Events to access this new event. The quest involves defeating the Queen Bee Raid Boss for event coins which you can then spend to unlock Zootopia snuggly accessories. They have also included a Raid Bonus Time; Every day during the duration of the event, from 7:00pm - 8:59pm PST, the appearance rate of the raid boss doubles, the AP cost of the quest is halved, and the Lux rewards for defeating the raid boss is doubled.
 



 
Also from 5/2 - 5/15, two new avatar boards can be purchased for 3000 jewels each. The avatar boards are used to unlock Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde outfits, as well as new Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde medals.The boards can be purchased only between 5/2 and 5/15 but they will remain after the event if you purchase them.Obviously, as you would expect, the Nick Wilde avatar board grants the Nick Wilde medal, and the Judy Hopps board grants the Judy Hopps medal.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ hacker issue being resolved; Rankings are being suspended

Square Enix has just announced that rankings in Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ have been suspended due to the recent hacking issues in the game. As the suspension is carried on for rankings, they are working to resolve the hacker issue, and handing out disciplinary action on those who have hacked the game. You can check out the information on the suspension of rankings below.

Interview with Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ producer Hironori Okayama by The Koalition at PAX East 2016

While at PAX East 2016 last week, Senior Editor of The Koalition, Jakejames Lugo, was able to sit down and have a little chat with Hironori Okayama, the producer of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. Okayama discussed gameplay features, such as how he drew inspiration from other Kingdom Hearts games, the reasoning behind creating a turn-based battle system, and the process behind designing medals. He also mentioned wanting to implement real-time multiplayer battles over the current individual raid boss fights with shared HP reductions and rewards. Following up on Gamer Escape's interview also at PAX East 2016, Okayama reiterated that the game was created based on North American user feedback. He plans to use results from future user surveys to identify areas of demand in order to implement further changes. Okayama also pointed out that there are completion bonuses in the game that might yet have to be discovered.

The official Kingdom Hearts YouTube account has posted a new video featuring a message from the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ development team. This video features the development team working on animations of Heartless as well as making final touches to some of the outfits you can unlock through Avatar Boards, various gameplay demos, and a group of players enjoying the game on their phones.

[Updated] First official Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- announced

The official Japanese Kingdom Hearts Twitter has just announced the first ever world tour for the Kingdom Hearts series. Official orchestrated music from the Kingdom Hearts series will be played all around the world. An official Facebook page for the world tour has been made as well, giving updates on the tour. Below you can check out the place and pre-sale ticket information for the world tour. You can also check out the official site for more concert information.
 
Additionally, you can check out the messages from Testuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series and Yoko Shimomura, composer of the Kingdom Hearts series.

UPDATE 1: Ticket information for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- have been announced. There will only be 150 VIP tickets per concert, and a VIP ticket will cost roughly $189. The VIP ticket also includes a meet and greet with the composer of the Kingdom Hearts series, Yoko Shimomura. Below you can view all of the ticket prices, as they vary from country to country. You can view the sales pages for the venues with ticket prices listed by clicking on the respective links below as well:
 
UPDATE 2: Wild Faery has sent an email out stating that the physical tickets ordered through their website will not be shipped until mid-June for the shows in Paris, New York, Singapore, and London. The email also goes into detail about how to request sitting together with other groups and how to contact them about any issues regarding the tickets.

UPDATE 3: Tickets for the Japanese exclusive event Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath- have been shipped and feature art of Sora in his Kingdom Hearts II costume that was previously included in the collector's edition of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. UPDATE 6: Four additional performances have been announced for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- in Kuala Lumpur, New York, Los Angeles, and Osaka. The announcement is as follows:
 
UPDATE 7: Japan's tickets for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- have been released. They look very similar to the previously shown Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath- tickets, except with a green color scheme instead of a blue one and with art of Sora as a conductor instead of art of a hooded Sora.

Interview with Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ Producer Hironori Okayama at PAX East includes content release schedule

Gamer Escape was present at PAX East 2016 this week, and caught up with Hironori Okayama, the producer of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. In the interview, he stated that the North American version of the game will receive 50 new missions per month, and made an announcement that the promotional Zootopia medals recently released in Japan are planned for release in the North American version of the game on May 2nd. Okayama also discussed the choices made when Kingdom Hearts χ was being remade for mobile devices, how the team decides which medals to make, and the release of future content for both versions of the game.

[Spoilers] New Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] story update sets up for the Keyblade War

In case you missed our tweet a while ago, the latest Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] story update is available and it begins with the player, Chirithy, and the newly introduced character, Skuld, on a search for Ephemera. Later meeting up with Master Ava, she begins to describe the looming Keyblade War and what it means for this world's Keyblade Wielders.
 
Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] and Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ share similar stories, and so this video can potentially contain spoilers for both games so please take caution before watching. The Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is also farther along in terms of story compared to the newly released North American version so please keep that in mind as well.

First Story Update coming to NA version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ on April 21st, another update coming in early May

At 2 AM PDT on April 21st, 50 new story quests will be added to the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ as announced by the official Twitter and Facebook pages. This update will focus on quests taking place in Wonderland as well as Daybreak Town.
 
The official Kingdom Hearts Facebook page also announced that more quests will be added in early May with even more content to follow soon after that.

The North American Square Enix Store has added a listing for a Chirithy plush to their website, following the announcement of the Chirithy plush for the Japanese Square Enix Store last month. The Chirithy plush is currently up for pre-order with a limit of one per customer and is expected to ship towards the end of August 2016.
