Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] service going to be terminated in September, 2016

UPDATE: Service for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] will end on September 1st, 2016. Following the maintenance on September 1st, it will not be possible to make new accounts. Prior to service ending, the billing period will end on August 1st, 2016 following maintenance.
 
Even though billing will end on August 1st, all purchases may continue to be used until the termination of service. Also, the Raise Draw and the Shop will cease to change following the termination of service as well.

Square Enix have announced that service for Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] will be terminated sometime in September of this year. Adjustments are planned in-game for users to enjoy the game while the game is still online. For those that do not know, Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] is a Japanese-exclusive PC browser game, also known as the PC version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, releasing in North America on April 7, 2016.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is now available to download for both iOS & Android devices in North America on the Google Play Store & Apple App Store today! Just hop on the respective app store for your device and download the app - it's free!
 
Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is approximately 1.1 GB, with about 700 MB required after installation.

KH13.com is pleased to announce its affiliation with khunchainedx.com - the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ Wiki! This Wiki was previously a one-woman project, and then she reached out to KH13 for help upon receiving the news that the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ was releasing soon. We agreed to help, and have thus launched this new Wiki site.

Pre-registration Now Available on Android for NA version of KHUX featuring Zootopia outfits

Pre-registration for North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is now open in the Google Play store. The size of the download will be 1.1 GB.
 
The Google Play store features a few screenshots of the game, including a first look at new outfits based on Disney's latest film Zootopia.

The official Kingdom Hearts website has updated to promote Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ

As of April 4th, 2016, when we learned of the North American release date for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, the official Kingdom Hearts website has updated to promote the release. A large reminder of the April 7th, 2016 release date appears at the top of the page above a link to the Kingdom Hearts Facebook post of the announcement. Lastly, the site includes the announcement trailer that was first shown at E3 2015.
 



 
As of right now, there is nothing more to view on the official site, but it may update again once the game is released.

Voice actor Quinton Flynn claims he has not started recording for Kingdom Hearts III

In a recent tweet, Axel/Lea voice actor Quinton Flynn claims that he has not begun recording for Kingdom Hearts III. This comes just a few months after other voice actors in the series, namely Jim Cummings (Pete, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh) and Bill Farmer (Goofy), claim they have finished their recording process, or at least some of it. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ coming to North America on April 7th

Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is coming to North America on April 7th, 2016. The game will be released on iOS and Android. In addition, a new Twitter account was made for the North American version of the game where they will release updates and news. You can follow this Twitter account here. The blog also includes a commemorative drawing from series director Tetsuya Nomura, as well as an interview about the game's ties to the series, both of which you can view below:
 



 
 
Thus far there has been no mention of when Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ will release in other regions. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ updates to version 1.2.0

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ updated to Version 1.2.0 on 30 March 2016, focusing heavily on UI updates and changes based on fan responses to the questionnaire published in late February. Major updates include changing the layout of the Quest screen, the introduction of "Skip Tickets" which allow a player to bypass a difficult mission, and finally patching the bug that allowed the buff medal “Kairi KH Version”'s ability to last beyond the allotted time.
 
Current players will be given 10 Skip Tickets, which will allow a player to automatically clear the mission and will clear all 3 Mission Challenges as well.
 
Players must install the update from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. For iOS, you'll simply need to log in with your Japanese Apple ID within the Apple App Store and download the update from there. For Android users, please follow this guide.

Kingdom Hearts makes 31st place in the Classic FM Hall of Fame 2016

The 2016 Classic FM Hall of Fame is reaching the end and once again Yoko Shimomura's amazing work in Kingdom Hearts has reached 31st place with 'March Caprice for Piano and Orchestra' from the first Kingdom Hearts game! Last year, the main theme, or Hikari 光 (Simple and Clean) Orchestral Instrumental Version, ranked at 30th place, so this year it did go down by one place but it is still amazing that Kingdom Hearts managed to stay so high in the rankings!
 

 
'The Other Promise' was also available to vote for, but unfortunately didn't make it into the final 300. There are a few other compositions though that did make it in the top 300 and also featured in Kingdom Hearts series:
'He's a Pirate' ranked at 264th (featured in Kingdom Hearts II)
'A Night on the Bare Mountain' ranked at 223rd (featured in Kingdom Hearts I & Dream Drop Distance)
'Nutcracker' ranked 61st (featured in Dream Drop Distance)
'Symphony No.6 in F major Op.68' ranked at 8th (featured in Dream Drop Distance)

March 28th, 2016 marks the 14th anniversary of the release of Kingdom Hearts in Japan. In order to commemorate this anniversary, the Japanese Kingdom Hearts Twitter account posted a short "Thank You" message from series director Tetsuya Nomura. Along with the message comes a brand new screenshot of Daybreak Town from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. 90's cartoon Gargoyles was considered for Kingdom Hearts

During a Q&A session at MomoCon 2015 with the creators of the popular cartoon Gargoyles (1994 - 1997), they revealed that their hit show had the potential of being featured as one of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts. However, some unfortunate circumstances caused the project to be halted because of the fact that some team members "left Disney", as Greg Weisman, co-creator of Gargoyles, points out. , we've got a first look at the Keyblade as the Ultimate Unlock in Disney Infinity 3.0. The footage shows off a Mickey figure using the King Mickey power disc given away at D23 and how the Keyblade works both when in action and when it's not in use. 




 
When the Keyblade is not in use, the playable character will tuck the Keyblade into a sheath that is based off of the heart shape found in all of the logos of the Kingdom Hearts series.
 
When the Keyblade is used for attacks, it can function in a variety of ways. When at a distance, the Keyblade will send out magic spells that seem similar to the fire and blizzard spells seen in the series. When in close range to enemies, the character will perform short combos with the Keyblade.
 
The Keyblade will be available as the Ultimate Unlock starting on March 15th, 2016.
