Terra's armor now has a cape at the end of his story in Birth by Sleep

In the original version of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and it's reissue Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, despite original plans for the game, cutscenes with Terra's armor did not feature a cape. This was due to technical difficulties that the Osaka team encountered while developing for the PlayStation Portable.
 
At E3 2014, co-director of the series Tai Yasue originally announced that although they acknowledge that many fans would like to see the capes return, they would not be implementing them due to time constraints-- however, with the game now released in Japan, we now know that this is not exactly the case!
 
A cape has been added to Terra's lingering armor in this cutscene at the end of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. This will be consistent with the Lingering Will boss fight in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, where the character had a cape. Unfortunately, capes are still missing during gameplay.

Direct capture of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's XMB screen uploaded

As with most PlayStation 3 games, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX features a background on the PlayStation 3's XMB menu system. This background is similar to Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX's but features different images and colours. You can view it below thanks to Rowan Jackson, who shared this image on our Facebook page.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix's Theatre Mode still contains English voice acting in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's Japanese version

Perhaps surprisingly, Square Enix has left the English voice acting in the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX release of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix's Theatre Mode. As discovered in a live stream by Twitch user Bizkit047, you can press L2 and it will change the voice language to English for all cutscenes. It will be interesting to see if the Japanese voice acting is included in the English version's.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition case revealed

Amazon France have revealed the case for the Limited Edition release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. The case as shown below in our gallery is a mostly white box with the words "LIMITED EDITION" at the top with a Kingdom Hearts crown in the middle. It's safe to assume this will be the case in North America and Australia as well.

Connection to Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] revealed: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's "Tome of Prophecy" scene translated

With the recent release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan, we now know that exactly two new important cutscenes were added to the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Cinematic Story Videos that hint towards the future of the Kingdom Hearts series-- one is the new Secret Movie for the collection, and the other is a special scene connecting the title to the Tome of Prophecy from Kingdom Hearts χ[chi].

Square Enix NA have released a new set of 1080p screenshots from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX

Square Enix NA have today released a new set of 33 full 1080p screenshots from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. These screenshots show off the HD remasters of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, as well as the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Cinematic Story Videos. All of these screenshots can be seen below, in our gallery.

The creator of the Kingdom Hearts manga series, Shiro Amano has created a manga style recap of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days to celebrate the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan. New Secret Movie in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX now available (and complete with English subtitles)

Nomura talks HD 2.5 ReMIX, BBSV2, KHχ being canon & Secret Movies in new interview-- fully translated

Today, with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan, Famitsu Weekly have included a special commemorative article in their October 2, 2014 issue. This article contains a detailed summary of the game, teases both of the new Secret Movies included with Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, and also contains a special interview with the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura.
 
Here, Nomura shares his feelings about the game being released and each of the titles in the collection, touches on where Birth by Sleep -Volume 2- currently stands, and shares some details about the new Secret Movies included with Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (you've been warned, if you're trying to avoid all comments about these clips-- but Nomura is light on the details, so it should be fine).
