Nomura's projects will occupy him until 2019, & new game projects next year (not necessarily KH-related)

In an interview at New York Comic Con 2014 the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura has revealed he has projects that will occupy him until 2019. He also revealed that he has new game projects that will be announced next year. Thanks go to @FFDream and @Obsqura for the tip.
 
The projects can mean various things as Nomura recently designed Batman and Catwoman Play Arts Kai figures, equipment for the upcoming Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate video game for Nintendo 3DS and also designed his very own version of humanoid persona, Hatsune Miku.
 
As for the game projects, Nomura is of course directing Kingdom Hearts III which is the in very early stages of development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by Square Enix's Osaka team. The Osaka team also recently put out a job advertisement for an unnamed online multiplayer game. Nomura is also of course the main character designer for many Final Fantasy games, and it is likely he will be the main character designer for the next Final Fantasy title directed by Motomu Toriyama and produced by Yoshinori Kitase after filling the role for Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIII along with their respective prequels and sequels.

New rendition of Dearly Beloved played at VGO concert in Taiwan

At a VGO - Video Game Orchestra concert in Taiwan, a new rendition of Dearly Beloved was played. The composer of the Kingdom Hearts series along with Dearly Beloved, Yoko Shimomura was in attendance. Translated diagrams from the Kingdom Hearts Series Memorial Ultimania explaining character relationships & Xehanort's history now available

Diagrams from pages of the Kingdom Hearts Series Memorial Ultimania, which was released in Japan on October 2, 2014, have been translated. The diagrams show the correlations between the characters in the Kingdom Hearts series, as well as the full record of Xehanort's history. GameStop has updated their listing for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, showing off a brand-new English trailer for the title. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX releases in North America on December 2, 2014, in Australia on December 4, and in Europe on December 5. In the meantime, check out the new trailer below. Information from the Kingdom Hearts Series Memorial Ultimania translated

The Kingdom Hearts Series Memorial Ultimania released alongside Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan on October 2 and we now have translations of some of the information inside the book. Square Enix launches an official Kingdom Hearts Instagram account and New York Comic Con contest

Square Enix have launched an official Kingdom Hearts Instagram account. You can follow it here. And to celebrate, they're holding a contest for those at New York Comic Con 2014. In order to enter the contest you must follow the official Kingdom Hearts Instagram account and take a photo of their new Kingdom Hearts II Sora and Roxas Play Arts figures which are on display at Square Enix's booth. You must then upload the photo to your own Instagram account with the hashtag #KingdomHearts and tag @KingdomHearts. The grand prize winner claims both Sora and Roxas Play Arts figures while eight runner-ups will claim one of the two. You can view a picture advertising this here. GameStop in the U.S are offering a Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX themed poster via GameStop's PowerUp Rewards. It'll cost you 6,500 GameStop Reward Points. New English trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX released, titled "Introducing the Magic"

Square Enix have released a new English trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, titled "Introducing the Magic". The trailer is in anticipation for New York Comic Con 2014, which occurs between October 9-12, 2014. Here, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is confirmed to appear with a new trailer (this one), and a playable demo. Also, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura, is confirmed to appear at the event to sign autographs. The new trailer can be seen below.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX sells over 84,000 copies in 4 days in Japan

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX released in Japan last week on October 2, 2014, and thanks to 4Gamer.net, we now know the game's sales between its release and October 5. In these first 4 days of being available, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX sold 84,935 copies in Japan, including all Limited Editions. Famitsu have reported slightly different sales numbers, and have split it up based on the package-- with 85,354 copies recorded for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX by itself, 13,656 copies for the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX Starter Pack, and all other packs missing out on the charts.
 
In conclusion, it can be estimated that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX sold approximately 85,000 to 100,000 copies in its first 4 days. As a comparison, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX sold 128,414 copies in the first 4 days-- however, this difference can likely mostly be attributed to declining sales of PlayStation 3 software.

Nomura talks HD 2.5 ReMIX release, Kingdom Hearts III development, multiplayer, Unreal Engine 4 & more in latest Famitsu

An interview with the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura appears in this week's issue of Famitsu Weekly which releases on October 9, 2014. The interview discusses Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts III and how Nomura feels about the compatibility between the Kingdom Hearts series and multiplayer. Also as we reported earlier, Nomura also reveals that Kingdom Hearts III is now being developed with Unreal Engine 4.

Kingdom Hearts III is now using Unreal Engine 4

In an interview with Famitsu Weekly the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura has revealed Kingdom Hearts III is now being developed with Unreal Engine 4 rather than Square Enix's very own Luminous Engine. Nomura explains he changed the engine "for a variety of reasons".
