Nomura hopes to tell Birth by Sleep -Volume 2-'s story one day

Today, with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan, Famitsu Weekly have included a special commemorative article in their October 2, 2014 issue. This article contains a detailed summary of the game, teases both of the new Secret Movies included with Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, and also contains a special interview with the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura.
 



 
In this interview, Nomura has revealed that he hopes to one day tell the story of Birth by Sleep -Volume 2-, when he is given the opportunity. Birth by Sleep -Volume 2- was of course the ending "title card" of the Secret Movie for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, leading fans to speculate that this might be a mystery game in the works. However, this movie was released in 2011, and according to Nomura today, "the story was severed and wasn't told".

Famitsu teases the two new Secret Movies in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

Today, with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan, Famitsu Weekly have included a special commemorative article for the game's release in their October 2, 2014 issue. This article contains a detailed summary of HD 2.5 ReMIX, and more importantly, contains both an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, and teases details about the new content in the game.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX has finally released in Japan!
 
HD 2.5 ReMIX is a collection for the PlayStation 3 containing remasters of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, as well as HD Cinematic Story Videos for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Kingdom Hearts Series Memorial Ultimania has also released, containing important information about the future of the Kingdom Hearts series, leading up to Kingdom Hearts III.

Two new Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX commercials released

With Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's Japanese release tomorrow, two new commercials for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's Japanese version have been released. Titled "Story" and "Friend" these two commercials showcase the three titles included in the HD collection. Both commercials are in 1080p and can be viewed below.

With less than 1 day remaining until Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX releases in Japan, some people are beginning to get their hands on the game. One user on a Japanese message board, who posted this image of the game as verification (also shown below), has begun to share some very small details concerning new content in the HD collection.

This is interesting, because in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, the credits contained scenes from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep, and Re:coded-- which, of course, were a big hint towards the games that were included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Could these scenes be hinting at a HD remaster for Kingdom Hearts 3D?

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX release in Japan: First copies sold, photos & unboxings

With Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX's release in Japan fast approaching (just over 1 day, now!), early copies have begun to appear in Japanese stores, and some are even being sold. People lucky enough to purchase a copy early have posted photos online of the HD collection, including one showing the title's background on the PlayStation 3's user interface.
