I know how theres a noticeable difference but it's really two things, to establish a design continuity between KH I & II Soras, and as I'm sure you know the new model is very detailed and cartoon/anime-ish, like he has a higher polygonal count.

They're not really redesigned it's just they made their faces more detailed.

When you think about it the original team that developed Kingdom Hearts I & II are currently trapped in a special circle of Hell reserved specifically for developing that damned game! But since 2005 the Osaka Team have made three Kingdom Hearts games and will likely make the next portable iteration. Lately I've been thinking the amount of work they've contributed to the series is by now on par with what the original team did. I think it's high time Nomura-miester decides to put the series next generation in their hands, I mean I sincerely doubt the original team will be finishing Versus anytime soon.

Looks like we got ourselves a freckle hater? I happen to find freckles on ladies very arousing, imagine how much Hawter Aqua would look with blue freckles!

Guys why is it I haven't seen any sexy freckles on any Kingdom Hearts character yet? I mean there's so many bizarrely designed and detailed characters but why none of them are freckled is beyond me! :`(

To be far tho its thanks to the amount of worlds they're able to make abridging the movie's stories and accommodating the Kingdom Hearts elements moar cohesive, (I haven't spoiled DDD but am aware the majority of the worlds have around 30 to 40 minutes of cutscenes each!) just like Kingdom Hearts II & BBS
