Happy birthday to Motomu Toriyama, the director of the most FINAL FANTASY games ever and my favourite developer. Among his achievements include the first direct-sequel and first trilogy in FF history, a game with a perfect review from Famitsu, the fastest selling FF game ever, and around 30 million copies sold worldwide for his games. Toriyama is also a member of the Final Fantasy Committee and resides in Square Enix's 1st Business Division. Look forward to his new project later this year.

Because people hate Lightning & Toriyama for stupid reasons. Keep telling SE to port the XIII series to PS4.

Just throw in XIII and XII characters. Easy.

X-3 and Parasite Eve are the most likely. Other options are Front Mission, VII Remake and a new IP (unlikely). FFXVI has been in development for several years no doubt about it. Look forward to an announcement this year or next year.

What about the other stuff?

Yeah, I'd be surprised too, just saying it would help make it bigger. I fully expect SuckerPunch's new PS4 game to be announced this year and released next year.

Not really. The average person would just google "final fantasy xv ps4". Sony and Microsoft's conferences are huge while Square Enix's are pretty small in comparison. If X-3 is happening, it should be announced this year.

I disagree. They know full well there is a ton more exposure at Sony and Microsoft's conferences and XV hasn't been promoted at a press conference since E3 2013.

It did okay critically and we never got sales. One of those situations where they could make a sequel to try and improve on what they made. Re-using assets and such. Yes, FFXVI is in development no doubt about it. Nah, doubt they're working on XVII, more likely they have X-3 in the works and then there's no one free. It's unlikely but past record says they'll do it if they want. They promote games with release dates all the time.

I didn't list everything. Think they'd combine that with KH3 if they were going to promote it in a press conference though.

Think Sony's E3 2015 showing was big? They can top it, easily. But I doubt they will due to spreading things, third-party decisions etc. But for fun, here's a lot of the stuff they could show. It's one from back at the game's release. Square could not develop games for Xbox or GameCube but they could develop for PC, handhelds etc. Means it's awhile away if it happens and thank god, they already delayed KH3.

Nomura said over half a year later there are no plans. If they did release it on other platforms they would have to deal with the licensing issue. That could mean changing music. They also can't release KH1 on Xbox due to the contract exclusivity with Sony from back then. But again, no chance DotEmu would do it. It's not their type of work. They aren't that big, it took them well over a year just to port FFVII to PS4, it would also need to be further remastered and more. Expecting them to remaster six PS3 titles for PS4, Xbox One & PC is crazy. No chance.

Again, they can't and won't. Xbox One can't get KH1 and there's clearly licensing issues affecting the games, hence the lack of a digital release.
