  1. Of course, but right now it's dangerously high for Europe, especially France.
  2. America is kind of "meh" IMO. For a country that claims to be the ultimate source for freedom, it in the long run ain't got much. One sound sums it up, BLEEEEEP Censorship. I hate it. Is there even a point to it? Everyone is going to know what it's supposed to say anyway. There is so much crap that you can't do on television in America. Yet, I've heard of a Canadian cartoon at the same level as something like The Simpsons that has uncensored nudity and such. America needs adjustments, especially after the 8 year-long shit George W. Bush took all over America. Obama's trying to clean the dried fecal matter off the floor of America, give him some time. He can't just take out a massively powerful pressure washer to get rid of it. Also, you have to be 18 to vote. How about an IQ test instead? 21 to drink. Most countries have it quite below there. America is tied with other countries for the highest legal drinking age on the planet. Completely illogical. And this is coming from an alcohol hater. America ain't as free as they make it out to be, kids.
  3. That'd make for a hilarious Treehouse of Horror skit
  4. Indeed. Technically France is our closest ally, with good relations dating back to the Revolutionary War. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has even stated he's really good friends with Obama. So terrorists going after France would be like that. Eh. Germany hasn't done too much recently, but France is at extreme danger currently.
  5. ...you do realize that America isn't the only major country in the world, right? Europe contains several rather major countries. Russia (part of it, at least), France, UK, etc. London, Madrid, and Moscow have all been attacked in recent years, so terrorism in Europe isn't new.
  6. Paris is most at risk. There's the anti-Islamic stuff going on in France, and there's the two false alarm bomb scares at the Eiffel Tower recently. Seeing as how technically they're our biggest ally, we would have huge support for them in the event of such an attack taking place. Plus, it's the biggest city in Europe that hasn't had a terrorist attack. It's a major risk area. We could very well see a headline soon saying "TERRORIST ATTACK IN FRANCE". I completely hope that won't happen, but I have to realize it's very possible right now. And this is probably linked to the Israel-Palestine drama. I wish we could just end this crap and have Israel move to Hawaii or something like that, then give Palestine back their land.
  7. As you likely heard, the terrorism threat has been increasing in Europe and the US has issued a travel advisory because of it. And I just read a report saying it's very likely that the terrorists have already scoped out targets and could strike pretty soon. Any European members, be vigilant. I can only hope that any attempts can be foiled in time, and that none of them are in any way nuclear. I do know, however, that there would be strong reaction to any kind of terrorist attack in Europe. It's important we keep aware of the situation, as if any kind of attack in Europe ends up a success, they might try another attack in the United States.
  8. But I've changed it to October 4th because of how October 3 is already known as FMA Day.
  9. Does the title need explanation? I have many, most of which I probably won't have down yet. -I thought the world used to be in black and white, then all of a sudden someone set off a paint bomb or something that gave everything color. I don't know. -After 9/11 whenever I saw a plane, I ran into a building. Which is like the "DUCK AND COVER" thing where they thought hiding under a desk would protect you from 7,000 degree heat slamming into you. -I thought adults never slept and instead just stayed up all night drinking beer and watching Nick@Nite -I thought pro wrestlers were monkeys at some point -Apparently when I was like 3 I was taking some kind of test where some person showed me a picture and asked me what it was. Supposedly, I was shown a picture of Jesus and said it was Santa, then shown a church and said it was a castle. I didn't know jack shit about that stuff back then. -Until 2nd Grade I thought humans only lived in Europe, Australia, and North America. I thought Africa and Asia were only inhabited by animals. Dunno about South America. -I thought babies were formed by lip-kissing and they were born out of the anus. Hell, I was really close. This one isn't really something I thought, but I attempted voodoo in Kindergarten. With Ice Cream.
  10. With any luck, I'll be going around on Halloween night with my friend (who claims he's going to be Itsuki from Haruhi Suzumiya) and maybe some other people and just do random antics. No scaring little kids, that's screwed up. I'd consider buying some eggs and egging my school, but the cameras might see me. I'm trying to find a way to be able to make my Spirit Albarn costume be able to go partially in weapon form. maybe buy a scythe at a Halloween Store and just put it down my sleeve.
  11. Assuming a second season or Brotherhood/Kai/Final Act-type series comes to life, I hope FUNimation releases the dub at the same rate as Japan airs them. I just with they'd get Soul Eater an actual TV deal in America so it could gather more popularity. Adult Swim could have said "From the studio that brought you Fullmetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop!" in a promo and gotten some nice ratings, but oh well.
  12. I'm hearing all it is is a re-airing of the series with a new OP and ED, but even so, I tend to doubt they'd do that if they had no plans to make something actually new. IIRC the only reason Studio BONES ended it was because of budget issues, which could have been resolved in the time since the series ended in Japan, so this could be paving the way to a "Brotherhood"-type series or a second season.
  13. tl;dr I hope we find another type of intelligent life there. Personally, I think any kind of "aliens" out there might just be more humans.
  14. HOLY- OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING Judging by how Crona is fighting alongside the others and how it just says "SOUL EATER" with nothing like "Brotherhood" with FMA, I'd say this is likely a second season... COME ON FUNIMATION
  15. Despite what people try to say, violence sometimes has to be the answer. In 8th Grade, me and this short asian-white kid who thought he was a mexican gangster (I don't know why I hung out with him. He was half Chinese and half German yet he kept claiming to be Mexican.) were just hanging out and he accidentally bumped his shoe into this one obnoxious kid I knew and unfortunately still know (Talked about him in the Epic Win thread), and he went up to us trying to act all tough, and pushed me, then swung a punch (trust me - this kids punches are pathetic) and asked why we kicked him. We try to explain we didn't, he has a little pissy fit, so I push him over, he almost loses his balance and I spit on his face, then the other kid kicks him for real. Later in the principals office, we were dragged in there. We told our story, and he began crying like crazy since he was the only one getting in trouble, then claimed that he was "sick". The only punishment me and the other kid got was not being able to be on that part of the school at break for like a week, and her sternly telling me "Don't spit, it's gross." Other kid got suspended IIRC.
  16. In English class when the teacher was talking about some classes that students can take if they have poor reading skills, and she mentioned that there are multiple grade levels, this one absolute obnoxious moron that everyone hates spoke up. Him: "I wanna take the first grade test!" Me: (without hesitation) "(his name), I think that's too advanced for you." Class laughs, he just says "shut up", one of his only comebacks, other than "bitch" and "gentleman". Seriously, this kid is COMPLETELY STUPID. Last year (10th Grade, I might add.), in History, he said some of the stupidest things possible. -Pointed to Africa and asked the teacher if it was South America -Said he thought China and Japan were the same thing -And now one that needs more detail. Don't recall why, but the teacher had us all say some of our nationalities. When it was my turn, one of the ones I chose was Welsh. Someone asked what that was, I explained it was Wales and told her where it was. This guy immediately accuses me of lying. The teacher, with a sigh, explains to the idiot that i'm not making it up. Something tells me he probably thinks people don't live in Australia. I've had to deal with this moron for about four years now. For as long as I'm aware of, EVERYONE, even teachers, have hated him. Hell, I'm pretty sure even his twin sister hates him. He's a moron, annoys everyone (he makes noise in class, is told to be quiet, he says "NO!"), etc. And the assistant principal seems to expect me to ignore the little twat. I can tell you right now that that's like telling someone to ignore a giant throbbing wart on their arm. I've had series of epic wins making fun of him and at times when it's necessary fighting him (which has always resulted in him losing miserably... I need to go into detail in some other thread.) He needs to learn that for as long as he's obnoxious and stupid, people will hate him. He isn't hated for being gay, he's hated for being a little twat.
  17. FRIDAY NIGHT CRANKS: THE MOVIE actually... do want
  18. Ability would be something you are simply capable of. Skill is something that you are especially good at.
  19. Alright, alright, people. Yes, it's saddening Wayne passed away. But i seriously think the only reason you aren't liking Bret's work is because you decided beforehand that it was going to suck. This was his first role IIRC, so regardless you gotta give the guy a little time to break that voice in, you know?
  20. Buy a black Morphsuit and do it. The security cameras won't recognize you under likely circumstances, especially if done at night
  21. Stranger: hi You: Did you know that Bill Nye invented the condom? Your conversational partner has disconnected.

My English teacher thinks "shut up" is one word and was oblivious that I was reading manga for like 3 days At least she isn't like my teacher last year oh god the horror
  23. May or may not continue this. Could be a one-shot type thing. Contains most influence from a concept I've had in mind for a while and a little from Fullmetal Alchemist. PLOT OUTLINE The year is 2011. World War III was forced to begin. North Korea teamed up with Iran as well as other "rouge" countries, and are in the starting stages of a war against NATO, Russia, Japan, and the now-democratic China. Chaos is imminent. A nuclear attack has already taken place. Bombings have happened everywhere. However, across the planet, mostly in the United States and Canada, teenagers began appearing with extraordinary powers, such as control over ice and super-speed. In an effort to get the war to an end quickly, as many of these people as they could find were recruited by American and Canadian forces. This story focuses on three main heroes. Robert Ghiaccio: One of the first discovered humans with powers, and with that, one of the first to be recruited. He had formerly lived in Washington State, right near the Canadian border, and often would cross over the border just so see how different it felt. He has a large scar across his face from a terrorist attack he was near when he visited Seattle at one point. His powers are control over ice and mind reading. Julie Hinterhaltig: Another one of the first to be discovered with powers, and the best friend of Robert. Prior to gaining her powers, she had taken years upon years of martial arts, and has made herself a ninja due to that and her powers, which are superspeed and illusions. Dominic Kiborg: A cyborg who was left in his state after a massive bombing raid in his former home of St. Petersburg, Russia by North Korea. New technology allowed the surgeons to apply the robotic parts to him, aiding him significantly. Due to his traumatic experience, he is most of the time quiet and serious. His powers are immense strength and night vision. Might as well begin. Wrote out some outlines, now I can't stop. CHAPTER 1 Dominic struggled in his sleep. He kept having the dream. The dream he's had ever since North Korea dropped all those bombs on his hometown. He could still remember watching his hand break off, blood gushing everywhere. He could remember watching the flames crackle and the blood of victims slowly transition from red to brown as it aged. He could still remember awakening in that hospital in Moscow, completely dazed and freaked out. He could remember the fear. he could remember the confusion. The anger. The feeling like any moment his heart would fail from all the blood he lost that day. Someone began opening the door. "Hey Kiborg, is everything alright?" a voice said as its source peered through the door. It was Mark Evans, one of the people in charge of the division for those with powers that were recruited. 'I'm.... fine." Dominic stuttered. "Just... got overheated." "Oh, cause you were making a whole lot of noise up here. Is there anything you need?" Evans asked. "No... That's.. alright." Dominic said. "Alright, try to get some sleep." mark said as he shut the door. Six months had passed since he, along with tons of others his age, were brought in to assist NATO and its allies fight off the "evil" forces. The War in Iraq had ended a year before. Stuff didn't seem so bad. China had left communist status that year as well. America and Russia became allies. It seemed so safe, but now they were in the first World War in decades. And it could very well be the last. Next thing Dominic knew, it was morning. 10:00AM. He headed down to the main floor where they would be briefed on details of where we'd first be going. As he approached the room he was told to report to, he ran into Robert. "Hey Robert, you were making an awful lot of noise last night. What were you up to?" "Oh...um... I apologize... I just.. couldn't get..comfortable." "It's all good." Robert replied. "Let's get briefed on where we're first headed." Both were surprised at the results of who showed up. Dominic turned to the front of the podium. He saw familiar faces. Mark Evans.. Commander of the United States Army Stephen Thompson.. and... President Obama? "..It appears the president is here." Dominic said to Robert, who then looked over. "Holy crap! You're right!" Robert exclaimed. "What could he be doing here?" Then came the noise of a microphone being tapped on. Evans was beginning to speak. "You may be surprised at how many showed up. We had to first see whose powers were genuine. Turns out some of them were either weak or faked. Anyway, let's begin. Before I assign you to your first mission, President Obama would like to speak with you briefly." Obama then took the stage. "I will make this brief so you guys can get your mission, but I would like to wish you your best in this first fight of a war we wish we could have avoided. You all know as well as I do, as well as Mike does, and as much as anyone else here knows, that we ended up with no choice. Fight your hardest. Do not be afraid to bring out your full force. You're supposed to kill. Set aside your common morals that killing will get you in deep water. This must be won for the sake of our world. Thank you." As he stepped down, Mike Evans took the podium. "Thank you Mr. Obama. Alright soldiers, we have your first mission today. We received reports the other day stating that terrorists set up a station somewhere in Algeria where they are attempting to plan out a massive terrorist attack. We need you to fight your way there and get these plans by any possible means. Don't worry about what language it's written in. Arabic, English, Chinese, anything. Acquire anything that can foil the plan." --- Might go on with this. Depends on if I get bored like this again or not. --- Eh, what the hell, Chapter 2, will likely be short though. Upon arrival in Algeria, they began a strategy. "We believe the planning area is located in a large tent in this city." Evans explained. "You guys have your powers, but you are being given guns for further power." "Alright, let's get this over with." Julie said, walking off. "Wait, what the hell are you doing?" Robert said, chasing after her. "Beginning the mission. Get Dominic and let's get going. Dominic sat at the bench where they were being talked to, with more memories of the bomb raid on his mind. The severe pain. The fear of death. The ominous feeling that increased as his blood decreased. "Hey, Dominic, let's get going." Robert said, walking towards him. "Oh...um...yes." Dominic said, getting up. A few hours later.. Julie stood on a rock, looking around at anything in sight. She began to squint at one point. "Over there. I see what looks like a large tent." she said. "At least it's fairly cool out now." Robert said. "Alright, let's get moving. Hopefully we'll take them be surprise and won't have to have a long-winded battle." The tent in question took a short time to get to. "So how do we go in?" Robert asked quietly. "Do we barge in? We certainly don't just knock." "Barge in, of course." Julie said, ripping the tent open. Inside were about six terrorists at a table mapping something out. Robert approached them, ready to use his freezing ability. "Alright, bastards, give us your plans and nobody gets to be frozen alive." One of them, yelling something in what Robert guessed was Arabic, took out a rifle and began shooting. Dominic ran in front and grabbed the bullet with the hand on his robotic arm, then crushing it. "That was.. a bad idea." Dominic said, then punching the terrorist in the face, causing his nose to instantly break and several teeth to fall out. Julie was using her stealth to sneak up on two others, then taking out a gun she was given and shooting both of them in the back of the neck, killing them. "Three more of these scumbags to go." Robert said, smiling. One of them charged at him, and he responded by using his ice abilities to freeze the terrorist into a block of ice. Another one took a small knife, and approached Robert. Before he could react, he was stabbed in the shoulder. Dominic noticed the first terrorist was in a coma. He wasn't to be worried about. Dominic approached the terrorist that stabbed Robert from behind, grabbing him by the neck. "You can either tell us your plan or your neck can break." Dominic yelled. "Woah, never seen him so worked up." Robert said with pain as Julie helped him up. "..No." the terrorist spat. "Very well." Dominic said before crushing the neck of the terrorist. Julie looked around. "Okay, where's the other one?" "Aw, crap, he got away." Robert sighed. "Well, our mission was just to get the plans. I see the one they were working on right here on the table." He walked towards the table, then picking up the paper and examining it. "This looks like it was written in Korean in some areas and Arabic in others." Julie said, peering over his shoulder. "A map of Paris." Robert said. "They're planning something in Paris under likely circumstances. I tend to doubt they plan on having a nice tour of the Louvre." "Let's get it back over to Evans and get out of here." Julie said, beginning to exit the tent. "Well, all that was in here was the table, map, writing utensils, chairs, and the now-dead bodies of terrorists." Robert responded. "So we can pretty much get going. But first, let's take care of that last terrorist that's in the coma." "Kill him?" Julie said, walking back in. "Better yet, we capture him and have the FBI squeeze any needed information out of him before putting him in federal prison." Robert said. "Dominic, you can carry the body with no problem, right?" Dominic nodded, then reaching down and picking up the unconscious body as if it were a notebook. Upon returning to the meet-up site, Evans was pleased with the results. "We'll send off the terrorist you captured to DC where he'll be hospitalized then taken in for questioning." Evans said. "In the meantime, we'll need to have this all translated so we can attempt to foil the plan. All I can gather is it will be in Paris. I'll contact the French Government on our flight back so they can be informed of the situation. Great work, guys. Oh, and Robert, we'll have some medical personnel bandage the stab wound." The three boarded onto the flight back to headquarters, exhausted. Robert kept poking at the bandage that was put on his wounded shoulder. "Robert, knock it off.." Julie sighed. "Come on, I can't help it.." he replied. "You're going to screw it up, fidget with some silly putty or something." Robert turned and noticed Dominic looking down as usual. "You know, I've had this mind reading power and haven't even used it to figure out what's up with Dominic." he thought to himself. "I think I'll try it out." He began to read Dominic's mind. I can still remember it. Minding my own business. Just an innocent Russian teen. Then one day some bastards decided they would change our weather forecast to a bomb storm. The rubble collapsing on me. The bones breaking. The screaming pain. The third-degree burns. The massive bleeding. My hand breaking off entirely. Anything is painless compared to this. Why did I deserve such pain? I minded my own business. I didn't do any bad deeds. I didn't smoke. I didn't drink. I did well in my education. Why me? One day. One day I swear I will go to North Korea for my revenge. I will kill Kim Jong-Il. Robert stopped reading his mind, a blank look on his face. After a few seconds, only two words could come out of his mouth. "..my god.." --- I'm pretty much only being strong with developing Dominic with his trauma from the North Korean "bomb-storm" on his hometown IMO. His robotic body parts are kind of similar to the automail in Fullmetal Alchemist, but not too much. He's got a portion of his face, his left arm, left leg, heart, and parts of his chest "robot-ized". I'll probably do a third chapter to show what exactly this plan in Paris was and how it ends up stopped. Oh, and Abe Lincoln's alive.
  24. This thread reminds me of in second grade when we were studying dinosaurs and we were supposed tow rite down our theories of what wiped them out, I said they all exploded or something like that. One of many things from previous school years I need to find (along with the 50 or so referrals I got in 8th Grade)
