(Man, sorry I couldn't be online at all yesterday, everyone. My life's just been one crazy thing after another lately. I'll be on and off today. LOL probably mostly off.) Mariah stepped back as if she had been struck. This guy had captured Joy. She hadn't been able to protect him, and now... Her eyes blazed with hatred, and just as Reilly started to disappear, she ran towards him and screamed, “What are you doing to him?!” The next instant, he was gone, and Mariah was standing in the same spot where he had just been. “Damn it!” she said, her eyes filling with tears. She barely heard the others as the spoke to each other, working out the beginnings of a plan. Wiping the tears away, she slowly looked at Rebekah. “You said you would protect him.” Her voice was quiet and angry. Rebekah felt the crushing weight of her failure to keep her promise, and lowered her head. “Mariah, I'm so sorry. I really am. I just...” She unconsciously glanced at Felix before looking at the ground again. “I know I didn't hold to what I said I'd do, and I take responsibility for what happened.” Mariah caught the glance and was initially bewildered by the way her cousin looked at Felix, but soon started to comprehend the situation. Her expression softened a little. “I see... No, I'm sorry for putting this on you—it wasn't your fault, and it's not like you're the one who loves Joy anyway. You can't take responsibility.” She sighed and looked around at everyone else, her eyes somewhat avoiding Elie. “So, when do we leave for Chicago?” ----------------------------------------------------------- “Of course,” Alexis said. She took James's arm and started to follow Scott out as she dialed Ethan's recently rediscovered number.

“Yeah, I'm pretty sure the plan was for the four of us to get something to eat, according to what the hungry guy here said when he knocked on our door,” Alexis replied, giving Scott an annoyed look. “And in that case, where's Ethan?”

Alexis went downstairs to the lobby with James, where she found Scott near the front desk. At that moment, something occurred to her...how had he known which room she had been staying in? Is he spying on me? she thought suspiciously. Guess I'll have to be more careful around him. She kept her expression casual as she thought this, and spoke to Scott in an equally relaxed tone. “Hey, so where to?” she asked. ----------------------------------------------------------- Keilani readily accepted Troy's comforting embrace, still feeling bad that she hadn't been able to hold on to Arina. Should she have tried to go in after her? No, that might've made the whole situation even worse. When the new man arrived and Troy got in front of her, Keilani wondered which of their friends he was referring to. She heard Naminé gasp. “Xemnas!” Naminé exclaimed in horror. Keilani looked at the man full on. There was something about him that just seemed...off, and it gave her the creeps. Add on the fact that he was Inhabited by Xemnas, and she felt scared in his presence. She inched closer to Troy. ------------------------------------------------------------ Rebekah blushed at what Felix was saying to her. What did he mean by it? Was he implying that he...cared for her? As more than a friend? The red color on her face only deepened when he kissed her hand. Sure, it was just on the hand, but something about it...had made her heart flutter. Even after that little moment they had, it still surprised her when Felix got in front of her protectively. He seemed to be demonstrating more and more concern for her well-being, and she had no idea why. She had mostly just acted annoyed toward him this whole time. Of course, that was because he did annoy her, but...she was starting to see things in a different light. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Mariah come up behind the man, and it relieved her to see that her cousin wasn't the one Reilly had been referring to. ----------------------------------------------------------- Mariah jerked awake, instantly thinking of Joy. She had to get back and help him. From the place that Rebekah had hidden her in, Mariah became a little confused about where she was going, and ended up in the clearing where a new man had arrived, talking about one of their friends who was with him. “Who are you talking about?” she demanded as she cautiously walked up behind him.

(Awww dang, I wish I could respond right now, this stuff is crazy! But alas, I have to leave for the next few hours, and I don't have time for even one more post right now. Sorry! T_T)

“Mmm, you did succeed in making me feel good,” Alexis said. “In that case, it's fine that you weren't able to think about it quite yet. Maybe you'll have a better opportunity over dinner.” She turned her back to James and started walking towards the door. As she did so, Larxene decided to blurt out what was on her mind. “I wonder how the whole experience was for Riku?” she sneered. “The kid's what, sixteen, seventeen? And especially with the crush he seemed to have on that Kairi girl...” She laughed hysterically. Alexis paused. That was right, James was Inhabited by a kid. Which was probably why he was acting so childlike himself. It was all she could do to keep from chuckling aloud along with her Inhabiter. Well, let's just hope his Riku liked me as well, and doesn't try to turn James away from us. She composed herself and wore her usual inviting smile once more, and turned back to James as she opened the door. “Shall we?” ------------------------------------------------------------ Arina's hand slipped from Keilani's grasp. “No!” she cried as Arina was sucked into the darkness. To Keilani's dismay, Seichi immediately dove after Arina. Keilani could only stand there helplessly as the dark portal closed. ----------------------------------------------------------- Rebekah gritted her teeth from the pain of the burn, then relaxed as it subsided. “Thank-you. I'm done fine...” She trailed off, because though she was physically fine, she was concerned for Arina and Seichi. She just hope the two of them could find a way to escape, or that everyone could somehow go after them. She turned her attention back to Felix and noticed how out of breath he was. “What about you? You look like you need to sit down.”

(Haha yeah, of course you're awesome, Yuffie!) Keilani wondered at Troy's sudden change in mood. He had suddenly looked very determined, and...almost angry. “Was it something I said?” she muttered. “Got me,” Naminé replied. Keilani sighed, hoping she hadn't done something to offend him. She got behind the tree Troy had crashed into and kept her eyes on him. She didn't notice the dark pool forming beneath Arina's feet. ----------------------------------------------------------- Rebekah barely had time to react to the sword that was hurled at her. She jumped to the side to avoid being fatally wounded, but the weapon still managed to slice through her left arm, and she screamed in pain. She was about to heal herself, but she knew she needed to save what magic she had left to try and defeat the armored man, who was...oh, no. She saw the dark pool beneath Arina and immediately guessed the man's intent. “Arina! Look out! Beneath you!” she warned, clutching her left arm. For how far apart they were, she would never be able to reach Arina in time to help her, so Rebekah could only hope that she would escape in time. ----------------------------------------------------------- Keilani noticed when Rebekah got wounded, and she held out her Keyblade to use Cure on her...but nothing happened. “No! I've used up all my magic already?” She cursed her inexperience with magic. It was then that she realized from Rebekah's warnings that Arina was in danger. Keilani looked at Arina, and what she saw confirmed it. She wasn't too far from her, so she ran back out in the open and took Arina's hand to try and keep her from falling through.

(Awwww thanks, guys! You're both awesome as well, in writing and in general! Haha lesson learned on the characters; I'll be prepared for multiple love interests every time I create one from now on. ) Keilani was saddened at seeing Troy so beaten up, she nearly panicked when he coughed up some blood, but then she willed herself to stay calm and wait for the spell to kick in. “Healing you was nothing,” she replied. “But don't be so hard on yourself. You'll get the hang of things. And I'll always see you as a hero, no matter what.” She leaned down, wanting to kiss his lips, but then remembered the blood he had coughed up. The sight of other people's blood made her sick, and if she were to accidentally taste some of Troy's blood while kissing him, she would probably pass out. So instead she squeezed his hand and kissed his forehead. ---------------------------------------------------------- Rebekah remembered Felix and started running back to him to help fight Sumer. She felt a little bad, because she had promised Mariah that she would protect Joy, and here she was breaking that promise in an instant. But she felt like Joy could handle himself, and there were also Tudi and the other girl to back him up. She reached the site of the other battleground and shot Prism Rain at one of the shadow copies. ---------------------------------------------------------- Alexis heard an uncharacteristic tone in Scott's voice. Well, it seemed uncharacteristic for him, but she had only known him for a few hours now, so maybe she was mistaken? But he sounded...sad. What was his problem? How could he possibly have any reason to be sad at a time like this, when he, Ethan, and herself were making such epic plans? “Um, okay, we'll be there in a minute!” she called back to him. She looked at James again. “So?” (Haha Lexi's so cold and heartless.)

So has anyone noticed...that this is very true? Anyone who is a fan of intense dramas and conflicts, internal and external, would find no lack of these elements if they were to follow the RP.

So has anyone noticed...that the majority of the love triangles would actually be tangled, messy love webs?

(Ah, I see now. LOL poor Scott. Geez, when I created Alexis, I really wasn't expecting anyone to actually fall in love with her, and it's turned out to be just the opposite! ) Keilani gasped when she saw Troy crash against a tree, and ran back out into the open to help him, putting the Barrier back up around herself as she made her way to him. When she reached him, she knelt down and cradled his head in her lap, then took one of his hands with hers and cast Curaga on him. “Hey, you okay?” she asked, putting her free hand on his cheek and trying to speak calmly. ----------------------------------------------------------- Ah, and there's the party-crasher, Alexis thought with annoyance. She decided to ignore him for the moment as she waited for James's answer.

So has anyone noticed...that I have nothing to notice right now?

It seems like the older I get, the less time I have for gaming. I hardly ever play video games anymore, except maybe during summer and Christmas seasons. T_T

(Oh my goodness, I never knew that Scott was such a creeper. Haha and I'm glad I was able to make people laugh.) Rebekah was conflicted when she saw Joy break Callum's nose. Part of her wanted to help Callum, but the other part—egged on by Aqua, of course—reminded her that Vanitas had completely taken him over at the moment, and so healing him might be unsafe for everyone. She remembered her cousin and looked at Mariah, who had stumbled backward after Vanitas nearly stabbed her. Her body appeared tired and weak, but there was still a fire in her eyes—probably from her need to protect Joy. Still, spirited or not, she would get herself killed if she fought any longer in her current condition. Rebekah ran over to Mariah and took hold of her wrist. “I'll make sure nothing happens to Joy,” she assured her. “You can't fight anymore right now.” Before Mariah could protest, Rebekah cast Sleep on her, then carried her into the more densely wooded area where she would hopefully be hidden and safe. She ran back out to the clearing and faced the man Vanitas had referred to as Xemnas, ready to fight if that was what Xemnas and his host wanted. ------------------------------------------------------------ “Wow, that was awesome,” Alexis said with a smile. She was fully dressed again except for her jacket, which she was putting back on. She leaned in towards James again, bringing her lips close to his. “So, have you thought anymore about what I said?”

“Joy!!” Mariah screamed when she saw the boy slash him. Weak or not, she was going to stay with Joy and fight by his side. She ran at the boy and swung her leg to kick him. ----------------------------------------------------------- “Vanitas!” Aqua exclaimed. Rebekah could feel Aqua tugging her away from the current fight. Wait, Callum's here? Rebekah thought. What about Mariah? “She's near Vanitas! We have to hurry!” Rebekah looked back at Felix and felt conflicted for a moment. “I-I'm sorry, I have to go! I'll still be waiting for that talk, though.” With that, she dashed off and soon found Mariah, Callum, Joy, Tudi, and another girl. Mariah was fighting Callum at the moment, and Joy was bleeding from a wound. She ran up to Joy. “Here, let me heal you,” she offered, and started pointing her Keyblade into air. ------------------------------------------------------------ Alexis took James by the arm again and led him to the elevator of the fancy hotel, and then to her room at the top floor. When they reached her door, she looked down at him, put her hands on both his shoulders, and started to massage him, leaning in close. “There's darkness in my heart too, you know,” she whispered in his ear. “I'll show you how it's properly used.” She grinned and pulled him inside the room, shutting the door behind them. (Aaaand the rest is censored, folks.)

“We are getting close. In fact, we're here,” Alexis replied. She soon brought the car to a stop and looked straight at James. “But before we go in, there's something I'd like to ask you. You don't have to answer right away, but just keep it in the back of your mind, ponder it for a while. What's wrong with a little darkness? It seems that it only shows up when the people you loved, the people you thought you could trust, betray you. Like it wants to help you. If they're such good people, so full of light, then why are they hurting you in such terrible ways? Hell, they probably all have darkness in them, and they use it, too—they're just good at hiding behind a mask of light. So why not you? I'm just saying, if I were in your situation, I wouldn't let those cold-blooded fakes get away with what they did to me. Think about it.” She got out of the car and noticed she had received a text message from Ethan. Hm, forgot I still had his phone number, she thought. She smirked at the message and texted him back: 'Can't wait. I'll be there as soon as the lost puppy runs out of energy.' She put her phone away and waited for James to accompany her to the hotel entrance.

I thought this RP took place only one year after the first?) “Wow! Well, you and Riku must be very powerful to seal away someone like Sephiroth, even temporarily,” Alexis mused. “But you said...Sephiroth came back because the woman you loved left you for someone else? I find that a bit odd...almost as if he's on your side or something...”

(LOL can't you just read all the posts yourself? I didn't think they were that uninteresting. Mariah and Joy basically got back together, but then Elie kissed Joy, making things more complicated. Most of the people from the bus are fighting Sumer [come to think of it, I wonder why that battle is at a stand-still right now...], and I introduced a new character, Alexis, who is Inhabited by Larxene. Alexis, Scott, and Ethan are working together and getting James on their side to help fight off all the "good" Inhabiters. Oh, and Scott took out the CIA. And I think that's pretty much it.)
