Because in places like Korea and Hong Kong, (not sure about the rest of China or other Asian countries) men wearing makeup or crossing dressing or doing other things that are considered traditionally feminine, aren't considered unmasculine when men do it. They're even considered normal. And some villages in Africa, there aren't even standards for masculinity and femininity. They have binary genders of course but everything is basically unisex.
