  1. oooooh, what an awesome and poetic introduction post! Welcome
  2. Algebra 2, I hate you
  3. I rarely ever look at the screenshots, but not because I'm not interested in the game. I'm very patient and I'd like to buy the game and then be surprised/ blown away when I see what it's all about . But it's still nice to have so many screenshots available here.
  4. If the ending that I saw was the "true ending," then I think that there is a very big chance for a XIII-3 .
  5. I feel like you may be overreacting to my post in the other thread. I'd hate to see you not buy the game just because of that one thread. Really, if you were very excited in getting the game before then you should still be looking forward to trying it . The gameplay is extremely fun and the story is very interesting and nice. The only 'problem' is that the story has little to do with what Square Enix originally led fans to believe.
  6. They're planning on releasing DLC to expand on the story and ending. That's right, endings that you must download and most likely pay for.Don't be surprised is XIII-3 turns out to be a real game... what with them reserving the domain for it and all .
  7. It's not the gameplay that's bad. From what I've seen the game looks a lot funner than Final Fantasy X. (Yes I went there). It's the fact that Square Enix blatantly lied to it's true and loyal fans. Let's take a look at their marketing of Lightning)... -Having her on the front cover... -Having her on 40% of the back cover... -having her on the front cover of the manual... -having her on a half dozen pages inside the manual... -having her on the front cover and the protective case of the Official Soundtrack... -having the announcment trailer only feature Lightning and a new rival... -making an action figure of her (only main characters get this treatment usually)... -having her present in EVERY SINGLE TRAILER... -falsely advertising her, or at the very least leading people on, as the main protagonist for the first six months... -continuing to call her a "Main Character" after E3... -promising that she will have "Playable Sections" (note that it was plural)... -having several posters of her... -having several CG art of her released... -talking about "Is Lightning Happy or Not?"... -promising to give her a happy ending... (How about the false promises)... -They said there would be Guest Characters (again, note that they used the plural)... we got Snow for about 40 minutes. -promising that Lightning will have "Playable Sections" (note that it was plural)... -They promised that Fang and Vanille's sacrifice would be a major plot point and was the reason Lightning set out on her journey... Fang and Vanille were only brought up a couple times and no, they weren't the reason Lightning set out. -They promised a bunch of new main characters... We got Noel (Yuel is not a main character, nor is Alyssa... and Caius is the Antagonist). Copy and pasted from another site. But still, everything above is true. Plus there's the fact that the ending is a giant cliff hanger, included "To be Continued", and basically angered most of the fans. But really, it's mostly do to Japanese trolls who want to make the game look bad and discourage others from buying it. Final Fantasy XII was also a victim of such crimes.
  8. I know exactly what you mean... No disrespect to any people who are genuinely excited for this game, but why should I be excited for something that I know virtually nothing about? .Most (notice how I said most and not all) people are judging the game simply by the way the characters look.
  9. Still, it's a lot better than naming her "Vanilla" straight out.Lightning (technically her name is Claire, which I like), Fang, Hope, and Snow (while all cool characters) have the most unimaginiative names in the FF series. In my opinion of course.
  10. I liked the Keyblade Glider because I could give two poops less about fighting enemies in order to be able to visit a world.
  11. Besides Sazh and Vanille, I thought all of the XIII characters had very generic and stupid names lol.
  12. They'd have to make the summons look more "Kingdom Hearts-y" lol. Either way I really don't care .
  13. I wouldn't exactly remember your username either. Just sounds like some typical japanese-anime character name thingy .
  14. Kefka is on there, he's on the first page. I accidently linked to the second page. Woops .
  15. Final Fantasy IX for the second time in a row o.o.
  16. http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1215142p1.html (There's 2 pagees) What are your thoughts on their choices? Personally, I thought most of them were... bad . Too many characters from IV and VI! But that's just my opinion. Yay for Kefka, Laguna, Vivi, and Lightning though :'D.
  17. That would be a horrible idea, in my honest opinion. But I do respect your's.
  18. Sorry but the fact that "the characters were on the run" is no excuse for Final Fantasy XII's extreme linearity. While some people may have liked it, I personally hated it. The characters could've put on disguises. Plenty of RPGs have had on-the-run characters but still let the players explore towns/villages/whatever... Not to mention the fact that the civilians of the world didn't have Lightning and the gang's faces memorized. Remember the scene where the gang arrived in Eden? Everyone was cheering for Snow... it wasn't until stupid Snow exposed his l'Cie marking that the civilians realized that he was a l'Cie . ANYWAYSSS I'm not surprised at all that the game isn't selling well. You said it yourself-- people didn't like XIII. So why would they wanna buy XIII-2? Even if Square promised to make it better. You can't come out with a shit game and then expect people to buy a sequel that they didn't even want in the first place. Personally, I'm going to get XIII-2 because I'm a Final Fanatic! But I'm probably going to get it used or wait till it drops to $30 or less. I've been watching numerous japanese gameplay videos and even though the game is less linear, it still doesn't have as much exploration as I would've hoped. But I don't blame square for that, I blame today's graphics standards. I mean who would want to run around in a realistic city and take 30 minutes to explore the whole dam thing? Not me . But the game will be fun, just like XIII was. XIII wasn't the best, but I did enjoy the game !
  19. I didn't really care for them... only Mickey's was useful for grinding. I want a Squall D-Link .
  20. I think being 5 years apart is really weird, at your current age. However, say you were 20 and he was 25, then it wouldn't be weird at all .
  21. I'd love a Toy Story world! But since there's no form of evidence whatsoever (besides some guy claiming to work for Square Enix)... I don't see why I should believe any of this . It would be cool if it was true, though.
  22. I personally think it would be unnecessary, but they might end up getting their own equipment as fan service or to make them look more 'cool' in KH3 .
  23. Does it really matter? If I'm interested in a game and I think it looks fun, I'll buy it. I like reading other peoples' reviews, but unless a large majority of people claim that the game is horrible (which is far from true with KH2 ), I'm still gonna get the game if I'm interested in it. I wasn't aware that IGN has already reviewed XIII-2, link please?
