I was never fond of being arrogant, but i think, to an extent, I thought I was just somehow capable of excelling at several things without trying very hard. Now I've decided that if I want to accomplish something in my future I'll have to stop relying on talent and rely solely on hard work

I've spent so much time living in this delusion that I was something special. Believing that I was super intelligent and super talented, but those are just things people told me to be nice or encouraging. I'm glad I've observed myself and learnt that I'm not as special and talented as I thought I was, because now I can replace overconfidence with determination. Now I can convince myself I really do need to work like hell to become great at something.
