  14. i think it's okay as long as it's executed properly, but for the most part yes i do wish there were fewer cut scenes. When I was playing The Last Of Us I kept feeling like I wasn't doing much, I felt like I was just watching a TV show where I occasionally got to control things.Granted cut scenes can at times be really important, otherwise the story can get difficult to follow or just feel a bit dull, but I want games to be sort of different from movies. I like it when games give you the freedom to choose more than once direction to go in instead of forcing you to follow a set path.I get I never really shut up about Dark Souls on here, but I feel like mentioning it's a good example of how you can still tell a story without excessive cut scenes.
  15. So I was just rewatching HIMYM and I came across this scene.I couldn't get the whole thing so I'll just tell/remind you what lead up to this speech.Basically Ted Mosby is telling his kids in the future about a particularly lonely night he once had at the bar. He tells his kids that if he could go back 20 years in time he would do a bunch of things differently, but before doing any of that he would run straight to where his future wife used to live and then give this speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9Q-rW433l0 This moment feels so much more emotional when you realize that, according to the finale, Tracey Mosby is dead by the time Ted is telling his kids this story and that's why he wanted to go back and spend so much as 45 seconds with her if it meant he could just see her again ;~:
