Hey,this is my One-Shot Fan Fiction about Vanitas. Hope you enjoy. Vanitas gasped as he ended his training. His body, full of pain. His lungs, close enough to explode. His head feeling heavy. He sank on his knees. He couldn't move. Why? Why was he training? To forge the X-Blade? Xehanort stared angrily at him. "Stand up, Vanitas! I forbid you to be weak when you have to fight to forge the X-Blade!", he said. "Yes, yes, I know.", Vanitas mumbled and stood up. Xehanort, disappointed of his apprentice's weakness, summoned some Unversed. "Now practice your new move again! And then you can take a break. I need you later for an important mission." And so did Vanitas. He did it again. His new move. He could use it perfectly. After beating the heartless he stared at the sky. He wondered, how his light part was doing. He sure didn't had to practice his moves on a hard training. That lucky bastard. He had friends. And a nice master. Vanitas growled and layed down on the ground, watching the clouds. Time for a break... The final battle. Vanitas waited so long for this moment. Ventus couldn't move because of the unversed. Golden eyes staring at the blonde boy, an evil grin on his lips. 'It's time to pay!', Vanitas thought. And then he united with Ventus. Ventus wake up falling on the place of awakening, Vanitas landed on his feets in front of him. "Our union was not finished. The X-Blade shouldn't stay broken like this. Join me now, and we can complete the X-Blade!", Vanitas said as he grinned and pointed with the broken X-Blade at Ventus. The blonde boy shook his head."I've got a better idea. How 'bout I destroy you both?", he said determined. His dark half laughed. "The X-Blade is made of your heart, too, idiot. If you destroy it, your heart will vanish forever." "Whatever it takes. Anything to save Terra and Aqua." The dark half was annoyed. Terra and Aqua here, Terra and Aqua there! "Hmph, it's always about your friends, isn't it?" "At least I have some!" Ouch. That hurt. Ventus kept talking about his friends. "I've become a part of their heart, just as they've become a part of mine. My friends are my power, and I'm theirs!", he said and the battle started. Vanitas lost this battle. The X-Blade got away from his hand. Vanitas tried to grab it, despaired. 'No! NO!', he thought despairing, still trying to grab the keyblade. His body felt heavy and weak, slightly it sank down and Vanitas became weaker and weaker. He closed slowly his eyes. Many questions floading in his head. He tried so hard and got so far... but in the end... it didn't matter... He failed. Xehanort wouldn't get the X-Blade. Vanitas couldn't bring him the X-Blade. All this hard training hours... Everything for nothing? Ventus grew up. More than him. Vanitas was impressed by his power. Finally his eyes were closed and he could rest in peace. "I tried so hard and get so far. But in the end, it doesn't even matter."
