I think a lot of it would be backlash related reasons. the man is the driving force behind kingdom hearts and final fantasy, not to mention its the same studios. a lot of final fantasy fans would have been ticked off that they haven't even finished vs13/15 yet and were taking away resources to work on kingdom hearts. that being said @OP I highly doubt he was working on it for 3 years, story wise almost definitely (otherwise I would be seriously worried) since it would be impossible to make some of the spinoffs without knowing what you want to do with kingdom hearts 3, but the actual game itself probably only started development recently like this year or something, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a kingdom hearts 2.5 before 3 released due to it taking a long time.

you seriously don't understand console hardware and all you people need to get over the franchise being multiplatform, its not a sony franchise its a square franchise and serves its fanbase only not a console, being exclusive to PS4 wouldn't make it any better. yes we all get xbox1 is terrible, but that's not going to make the game bad. as for the porting thing it wont be farder, the two systems are practically identical in terms of hardware and both running x64 bit architecture, it has never been easier to make games on multiple platforms. clearly xbox is a FPS only console, because an FPS console doesn't have minecraft release on it and have it sell millions, oh wait.

dude you seriously underestimate how many kingdom hearts fans moved from PS2 to xbox360, and even though those fans will probably move back to PS4. square is just trying to cover all of their bases and make sure all of their fans can play the game. it's serving their fans and I see nothing wrong with it.

basically this, if your upset because PS4 lost an exclusive than go cry about it someware else. square is third party, they don't exist to serve the interests of the sony, they exist to make great games for their players and fans on ANY platform and branching out can only mean good things for the series.

yeah but at least steam lets you play games offline once you have them, I understand that must be a pain to register but once its done its done. and I buy games digitally for the most part on PC since the steam sales are fantastic.

why? its just a terrible browser game, its practically an insult to PC fans of kingdom hearts. "no you cant have a full game even though there is no reason not to, here is a bad browser spinoff that has no kingdom hearts gameplay"

eh, LAN is kinda dead at this point, even if the games weren't on steam they wouldn't use it. also what do you mean it has to be registered? like a physical copy or download? physical copy yeah but once you do it you can play it offline to your hearts content. online games require no registration unless its an MMO or something where the developer has a launcher that you download

well with the money it would require to get a PS4 you could probably get a gaming computer just as good(or upgrade your current one if its a desktop) but we don't know how extensively square is going to use the PS4s specs like 8 cores. if they did that than yeah a PC to play it would be expensive.

yeah but unfortunately that can and does happen for all games on PC, but the developers do still manage to survive, including square since just about every other franchise they have is on PC. that's being extremely simple but yeah, I like PC better than consoles for various reasons, and from a hardware standpoint there is no reason it shouldn't come to PC, especially with PS4 and XBOX1 both having 64bit architecture its the easiest its ever been to put games on console and PC. define most? not that many use DRM unless your talking about steam, but in that case why would you pirate it, steam is awesome. who needs pirating when you have steam sales only games I can think of with really bad DRM is Sim City and Diablo3, ubisoft did have the always online DRM and stuff but they got rid of it from their games with patches.

its not coming to wiiU, or at least I hope it isn't. the wiiU is so far behind xbox1 and PS4 its not even funny, there is no way the game would live up to its full potential on that system in a downgraded port, which would than make the game take longer to release since they would have to make 2 versions. the game should be on PC though(yes, I know I've been ranting about this all day) PC doesn't have any technical limitations.

damn that's some snazzy logo on the website, games graphics still need work though (yes, I know its an alpha/early development video) though the graphics do look a lot better in HD, still though, could do with slightly less cartoony and more previous CGI video style.

you'd be surprised, that's how most PC shooters work with aiming and the camera, its extremely easy to learn and get used to, and if you prefer analog sticks there is always controller support(if they didn't include it in a hypothetical PC version I would be surprised)

well, sony just completely dropped the ball on used games (http://kotaku.com/third-party-publishers-will-have-final-say-on-used-game-512643240) now can you acknowledge PC is a platform worthy of kingdom hearts? P.S that above article also applies to DRM, its up to the publishers, the system itself isn't always online but I have a feeling EA will try to push for it on the PS4 and probably other developers like blizzard.

depends on how much they have done with vs 13...I uh mean final fantasy15(feels weird saying it) I mean they must be close to finishing it if actual production has started on kingdom hearts3, depending on how much though we could either get a lengthy trailer or a very short trailer.

and that's the problem, if they made it right, meaning they would have to try to dumb down the game for it to be on all consoles, we still don't even know what the official art style is yet, all we've seen is less than a minute of probably alpha footage(and if that art style doesn't improve there is a problem)

I think petitions can do a lot more harm than good in some cases and in some ways makes certain things look stupid. there has to be something though, like I just wish at a Q and A someone would just ask Nomura or someone on the team why the games aren't going to be on PC.

because PS3 wasn't the king last generation, a lot of playstation2 fans myself included went over to xbox360 so they are probably assuming those xbox360 fans will get a xbox1. though to be honest I think most if not all of us are going back to sony or to PC. either way more people can enjoy the game but I'm just so pissed its not on PC

okay if its going to be on the most anti-consumer console in existence than it should come to PC as well. I just don't get what square japan has against the PC. all they do for it are MMOs and that final fantasy7 port that was released only on the square website. seriously its just as powerfull as consoles and Disney can't have a problem with it since they are putting the remakes of duck tales and castle of illusion on PC

so apparently now its coming to the xbox1. there is literally no excuse left for it not to come to PC if its going to be on the most anti-consumer console in existence. if it can be on something that bad, it can be on something much much better

and this is why I say the franchise should be on PC as well, it's a lot easier to own all of the games and you don't need to hold onto old consoles. though to be fair, 400$ is not that expensive for PS4, its 100$ cheaper than xbox1 and only 50$ more than the delux edition of the wiiU
