So I guess just check the site and see what kind of cards they accept, and then go put the money you need on a corresponding gift card.
Yeah, I don't know where you live / what stores you have nearby, but if you've got a Walmart or something like that, you can buy a credit card gift card and pay for however much money you want to put on it, and then you can use it on any store that accepts that kind of credit card.

@Dave It would be awesome to get more hints or background on Sauruman's corruption. All I remember from the books is that he pretty much came to middle earth because he was the leading expert on the baddies, and that his curiosity became his downfall, so it'd be fun to see some of that development on the screen.
In the book that necklaces only mention was when Bilbo gave it to Thranduil at the end, so (to me) it felt like they were planning on going somewhere with it, and maybe tying it in with all the random Legolas's mommy hints they dropped, but who knows. Either way, it did it's motivator job. They've done extended stuff with every other movie in the series, so it'd be strange if they decided not to with this one. Anything to wring some more money out of the project, right?
They left too many open ends not to. Like Thranduil's necklace that they made a big deal of and then never mentioned again.
That human crossbow though. Bain did a good job of holding still, poor fellow.
