Lack of E3 kinda has me on the side of "atleast 2016" now

FFXV seems like a very rare exception that seems video game companies have. I mean look at Duke Nukem Forever and HL Ep 3, granted the latter has just recently gotten a claim that is in development, they seem to hault dev time for the console jump. As for devs getting used to the new hardware, wouldn't that have happened before the PS4 came out, since it did have titles coming out since launch. Granted I guess you mean specific dev teams. I just feel like the companies would implement some kind of course for them to take for it, not really sure how that works lol.

Short and sweet to the point. We knew it officially began development last year, but KH2 began development in 2003 and came out in late 2005. Granted Nomura said last year's announcement was too early but well...it's Nomura. Maybe he preferred to have it announced a year before release instead of 2. We aren't the development teams, we can't say when it can or can't come out (obviously saying it would come out this year is far fetched and highly improbable) Besides we already have the Osaka team working on it and I'm sure 2.5 is done with and is in it's localization stages. Once the main team is finished and the two teams come together, there's no telling how much of the game will actually be done yet. Two teams would cause it to come out quicker, regardless. Aren't PS4 titles supposed to be easier to develop now too or is that a misconception I got from the interwebs after E3? I'm still thinking a Q4 2015 release for KH3 is possible.

Ofcourse the sooner the better, unless you know, they rush out an incomplete game. Sora96 and others predict 2016 at the earliest, others say 2017, some even say 2015. For the longest time I was on team 2015 just because it would be the 13th anniversary for the series. Which would be a great number. However, if they still wanna stick to a yearly release I can picture a Re:DDD coming to PS4 or PS3 (obviously a dev team, most likely Osaka would have to sacrifice and further delay KH3's release) and hopefully still have KH3 in 2016 (though that might be out of the question) This however is one of the more unlikely situations. Or best bet at making a rather good estimate? E3 and TGS. If we get new glimpses of the game or statements, maybe how far along dev is coming (though I'm assuming it may be at the end of the early stages at the most?) Who knows, they might surprise us, but 2.5 took time man. So in the end here are the scenarios (feel free to add more) that we're looking at (from unlikely to likely) 1. A 2015 release to coincide with the series 13th anniversary 2. A DDD remake in 2015, pushing the game to at least 2016 3. Square Enix says the hell with a KH game a year and releases the game to 2016 at the earliest 4. When it's done #GOOFNUKEMFOREVER

New trailer with release date at E3 seems inevitable. Here's hoping they dubbed the new scenes in KH2FM and BBSFM as well...you can argue it's likeliness, but fingers crossed. Maybe the hypothetical E3 trailer will provide dialogue to confirm

Reception to my posts in the random section can usually go either way .__.

But this isn't FF Cloud, it's KH Cloud. Personally I can see the inevitable Sephiroth battle ending as usual, they clash in the sky with that little twinkle. Ofcourse, if the Sephiroth tradition is ending with this game and the next arc has a new secret boss that'll appear in each game for that arc, which I feel like they might do, I'm all for a kickass cinematic after the Sephiroth battle.
