  1. I heard the PC port was shifty. On the Steam site, they don't even support resolutions above 1080p. Hoping for some mods or at least a patch to change that.

  4. NieR: Automata creeped me out when I saw that whack job of a developer... But I'm getting more and more interested by the day. Looks like NieR will be my newest PC addition, aand Gravity Rush 2 for PS4 until I have a reason to buy the Switch.
  5. A good coder. I learned C++ then Java instead of the other way around. The Java stuff is more fresh in my head, but man I gotta get back to raw programming when I get to college.
  6. I-I'm f*king speechless. The fact that I can read this perfectly. I love you man.
  7. You gotta use a quick ball because it could flee.
  8. Updated Wildlife with the Tithl. Interesting how many of these things I can come up with. Oh boy, Rinde is gonna be a big one.
  9. -------------------------------- Rain or Snow? -------------------------------- Sol replied to Dalian "Yeah, we're going. No point in troubling Elise any more...." he mumbled quietly "Knowing her, she's probably pissed..." Sol came upon the group, with Hanz, Dalian, Rose, and Iris in tow. Elise turned, a razor sharp look on her face and cheeks flared at Sol. Her clenched fists and deadly cold stare tried to hide the obvious worry and fear in her eyes. Whether it was for Sol or for herself, he didn't know. "What?" He asked, already knowing why she was furious. "I'll talk to you later. And not on the phone. You better come to me." She said, turning and, in shifting her demeanor, waving goodbye to the others. Sol pushed the thought that he was in the hot seat out of his mind for a moment. "Sorry for the wait, guys." Bowing to the Ronin trio, he also said "And thank you for helping out my friends. I hope you guys alright." Sol crossed his arms. "I made some food, but looks like we don't have much time for a chat and chew. I need to know your decisions. Are we heading to Rinde or traveling through Leith?" -------------------------------------- A cold, dark chamber, with merely one square ceiling light shone from inside a small observatory. The observation deck was shrouded in darkness, and inside was a girl. Opposite her was a gate, which held a prowling monstrous female Tithl cat. She roared at the sight of the girl, whose demeanor showed no shift. One word echoed down from the glass window into the chamber. A deep voice, hollow and lifeless, but powerful and commanding. Being the only sound in the room aside from the girl's breathing and the growl of the Tithl, it was heard loud. The voice needed no explanation, for the one word that came out was: "Begin" The girl tensed, her thick, muscular, and yet smooth and supple thighs crouched and pivoted as the flood gate bars of the cage rose slowly. The Tithl waited before stirring, as if to decide which piece of meat it would eat first. The girl was short, a mere 160 cm tall, but round across her body. The tips of her fingers relaxed, her waist declined. Her breathing was in extremely focused intervals. One.... Two.... One.... Two.... in rhythm with each beat of her heart. Her glossed chocolate lips were slit, and her cheek slightly creased; it was the only way one could tell her expression at the moment, as her eyes were blindfolded, the mask covered by her mid back-length raven black hair. The beast roared, then pounced towards her, a mighty force in its back legs. One.... The girl parried the beast's head with a single thrust of her right forearm Two.... With her left palm and a pivot of her back foot, she lunged powerfully at the Tithl's exposed underbelly. The beast was knocked back into the cold steel wall of the chamber before crumbling to the ground. One.... The beast tried to rise, but the girl dashed forward, giving a heel kick upwards, snapping the Tithl's neck. Two... The beast, brutally harmed, hissed although knowing it met its match, it knew it was faced with certain death. The animal lunged with its claws exposed in a desperate attempt. One.... The girl used the back of her wrist, breaking away the right paw and bending the left out of shape, broken. Two... She tugged the beast, dragging it horizontally in front of her, and straightened her hand and forearm. She came down with a powerful chop on the Tithl's back, rendering it unconscious and cold. "Enough." The voice echoed again, and the girl stepped towards the center of the chamber. She crouched on her knees and shin, then placed her hands, turned upwards, on her thighs. Her head tilted forward, and the blindfold slipped off of her face into her lap. It spelled a certain word, but beneath the dingy and dim light, was unreadable. The girl meditated..... Training her body to withstand the tortures of the world. Hunger, drought, famine, aging.... All these processes dissipated as she sat. Time itself seemed frozen. For how long? For what purpose? Nothing mattered. The waves of silence brought solace. Calm. Peace.
  10. I would've tapped "Run" and got away safely.
  11. Don't worry, Spider-Man will protect you.
  12. Yeah, depending on the college they call it the Computer Science in Game Design degree, or Game Design and Development, whatever falls under the B.S. (I'm sure you already know), Anyway, I think it has to do moreso with story and plot. Usually, through characters, especially the ones you play as the most, you form an empathetic link. This empathetic link kinda immerses you in the story, as if he character was you (instead of saying "damn, Geralt keeps dying", you say "I keep dying", instead of "She got dumped" you say "I got dumped". This effects the experience in two different ways depending on how it's done 1) Speaking characters, like in Witcher, Final Fantasy (except XI and XIV), Kingdom Hearts, and the like, meaning having any sort of dialogue whether it be text or voiced, have an immersion where you can emphasize with the struggles, relationships, etc. of said character on a more personal connection. Imagine your relationship as reading a book and then listening to an interpretation of it by said character. You see through their eyes the most, so you feel what they feel (most of the time), etc.) 2) Silent characters, as in the Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade X, and MMOs like FFXI and FFXIV, TERA, and the like, have an immersive feeling as to where your character is moreso your "eyes" through the adventure. You see what they see, but it's moreso up to your brain to fill in the blanks about the character's emotional state, what they'd do in said situation, how they're feeling, blah blah blah. The world itself, and the other characters besides the one you're playing matter a little more, because you're building a link to them through the character you play as, who in your mind has a certain personality. It's a little more difficult for me to explain, but what I'm trying to say is that the silent character's emotions, even though they may be animated, are left to interpretation. As the story progresses with characters outside of your realm of control, you feel as if, through this character that you've created an emotional link of which is more than likely a reflection of your ideal self, that you are the character, and can thereafter create more personal connections to other characters. Whatever is not given to you about the character is interpreted by you. And your interpretation of the character would be unique to, say, mine. Whatever about Link that is not created in the game world, you may have thought differently about than me. Your Link has a different personality than mine, because you're filling in the blanks while you play. Did I make it clear? I can explain again if you like.

  14. Uh, depends. In single player games like Fire Emblem, I prefer that the avatar speak. MMOs, not really, but then again that's cause I'm not used to it. Maybe text isn't all bad. (I'm going into game design, too next year. I'm really excited. Most likely just doing the B.S. But I'm thinking about double majoring for a B.A.)
  15. Hope I can get some special edition or limited edition Switch thing going by graduation. I wouldn't mind being Switch-less, since I still have an amazing catalog of games from all over each gen, and modding Smash 4 on Wii U will keep me satisfied till the newer version of the game.
  16. Witcher 3 does a fantastic job at making you feel like a dick depending on the woman you choose.

  19. Nomura himself said he stays tight lipped about his projects. Getting KH news ever outside of 4 trailers is a rarity.
