I don't mean to be rude but you're acting like Loz is going in a completely new direction. Crafting is kind of what people thought to be a good idea in Loz. And apparently adding new mechanics is breaking conventions? The mechanics aren't new and they've should been in the games around tp And ss, they're really just refining and adding more to it. And finding a heart in the grass was a weird thing anyway, it generally didn't make sense. And again you misunderstand, i dont care that theres modern stuff. These are not the same guys who made the first ten games. And I'm tired of them making action games or just games in general to just slap the FF brand. FF13 not a final fantasy game. FF agito/0 not a final fantasy game. FFXV not a final fantasy game. And only action games sell? FF13 still did good despite it getting panned. 6 million units was crazy so yeah turned based games still sell. And i was referring to paper Mario on 64 and Thousand year door. Havent checked the lastest one because it has been panned.

You may think that but its a genre none the less, it isn't dying but minor and it just needs rework to appeal again like paper Mario or how P5 is doing it and it breaks the mold for tired genres. You can say mmo games are dying or shooters are dying but its whatever, each genres has wear and tear overtime. are you really a Zelda fan? You would know that breath of wind is going more towards its roots and pleade both sides. I'M excited for it since its gonna be more opened ended.

I don't know where you go to see opinions it has been 50/50 with this game. Kh13 is mostly biased towards squares games so I generally start discussions to see how people feel with my other side. I feel its gonna hit a lukewarm sell numbers. I've also seen people trash and it. And my twitter followers generally feel the same. There's even people who hate square entirely. Its generally mixed as again, some would like the game to be a different thing. People even dont see it as final fantasy and have looked to mistwalker, despite them not doing much in awhile.

I understand that for most JRPGs but SMT has hardly tried to get out of its niche. and the mainline games have spaced around each other in 10 years. though enough SMT koopa , this is a FFXV talk lol

TBH Shin Megami Tensei is just bizarre to many around now but I'm sure it'll catch on once it has a big game on a console. I mean come on, You have a penis riding chariot demon and that's just weird for many and I could see it. But another note, I'm really looking forward to Persona 5 because from day one Hashino, Soejima and Shoji knew from day one what Persona 5 was. They've envisioned something that basically took five years to make happen and their ideas are probably planned for a Persona 6. The execution and passion is there, the story and music is there, it hits the perfect notes and with P5, just putting together what the old and new fans want, it's almost impossible to just dislike. it's aiming for the top and no doubt it will open the world to SMT and Persona once again.

I want to say that but I doubt they can really do much in the span of 3 months. and yeah good to see you think differently. Exactly, as much as I want more success for Fromsoft and Atlus, I usually make a recommendation for people who want to get into those games from those guys but if they tried it and weren't too into it, then I wont force them, maybe recommend something that could be more their style. But Yeah I support Atlus with my cash because I enjoy them not because they need the money, despite them having a better track record in the recent decade than most companies. Money is given to those who provide quality to me, not because I just enjoy the brand name.

I appreciate you being respectful though that is not what I meant, it wants you to zip around but the game slows you down by having noctis catch his breath and MP draining quickly. I don't think Wait mode would really fix anything, just make things easier. I also checked out the comments, got pissed off by them. and to be honest I cant think of how they can fix it, since they want to make combat like seamless but it just lacks in execution to me. "Now Turn based fans can shut the firetruck up!" That was an example of some bigot misunderstanding everything and there's more but I don't have the energy to do so.

I'd honestly wait until Nier Automata, and check out my games to play in 2016 post. A lot of good stuff you're missing out on. I get what they're trying to do but they should've gone with something traditional.
