Halloween Event
Hello good friends and bitter rivals in the rankings pool, we have yet another event going on in the worlds of Kingdom Hearts χ, and since it happens to be October, χ is doing, once again, another Halloween event. You'll notice this as soon as you enter Daybreak Town, with the main screen going pretty festive. However, there is still an event going on! Your goal, intrepid Keyblade wielders, is to collect sweets. This competition lasts from today (the first of October) to the 15th of October. Rewards, including event avatars, will be given out to those who rank in the top 5000. The rewards you get are determined by your placement in each of the categories. Different enemies drop different sweets, so if you want all the cool avatar parts, you'll need to beat four different enemies. More about that in the section to come. Lucky for you, for the two weeks that this event will take place, each week the rewards will be different, so if you happen to not play at all week one, you have an opportunity to still do well in week two. Reward highlights include: Combo Plus II, Last Revive II, and Berserk IV. To receive a costume, you must be ranked in the top 3000. How do you go about maximizing your spoils and minimizing your potion loss? Well, first you should consult the rewards list. Find an item or two that you really want. Secondly, you need to figure out what ranking you need to get that item. Generally, the fantastic rewards are in the top 100 spots, so you'll be challenged to get those rewards, needless to say. Then see what type of sweet you need to collect: Pumpkin Doughnut, Lollipop, Chocolate Bat, or Haunted Cookie. Each of those cookies correlates to a diiferent Heartless. Doughnuts are dropped by the level 33 Jack O Lanterns Lollipops are dropped by the level 555 Pumpkin Soldiers Bats are dropped by the subspecies Raid Boss "Hocus Pocus" Cookies are dropped by the level 666 Swinging Spook. In order to get a lot of points to place well, you should consider increasing their drop rate. This can be done with certain Assist cards, like Jack, Sally, or Dr. Finklestein. The SR give off less of a boost than their SR+ counterparts, so if you want the ultimate collecting assist deck, they should all be SR+ HP'ed cards. You may have trouble hitting or defeating these event heartless, especially the level 555 or the 666. You can boost your damage to them by using the new boosted cards available in the Kingdom Box for October, from mission rewards, or from the boosted Raise Draw cards. While they do not provide a boost to your drop rate, they do provide an easier time defeating these enemies. Now, all that you need to do after this is beat the heartless! Consider helping your teammates in Guilt help if they haven't finished off the heartless you're going after, since it will benefit both of you as players. If you want high rewards, feel free to use your potions - that's what they're needed for, anyway - but know if it's taking you 80 potions to defeat one enemy, it may not be in your best interests to continue in that path. Weigh your options carefully. So what are you aiming for? Let us know what your goals and aspirations are for this event below. Best of luck and happy sweets hunting, everyone!!

Did you have trouble with the ice cream mini game in Birth by Sleep?
I couldn't progress through Ven's story for the longest time, but once I figured out how to do it, I really enjoyed it.

Do you think CoM would've been better WITHOUT the card system?
I enjoyed the card system, it made the game more strategic than just mash your button of choice to win.

After the releases of both Theatrythm Final Fantasy & the Theatrythm Dragon Quest, would you like to see a Theatrythm Kingdom Hearts?
Absolutely. I would love to see and play that kind of game. I already play (and enjoy) the FF version.

Uniphication and Soraalam1 made a theory! I think we figured out the mysteries behind KHX!
This topic and the idea that the worlds were part of the datascape were discussed at-length when the scene was first introduced into the story, both over here and on KHI. While not necessarily a new concept, it does seem like a sound idea, and the perfect victim for framing the evil intentions does seem to lie in Young Master Xehanort, with the whole "will that passes on" motif going on in the exclusive cutscene in 2.5. However, I doubt that it is Master Xehanort pulling the strings. As a player myself, there is one screen that is most often overlooked by players trying to play the game - the world select screen. When changing worlds, in the background is the tome itself, and whenever you change the world, the tome flips to another page. In a sense, you as the player have the final tome - you are the final foreteller. But that begs the question of who is playing as Ephemera, does it not? Is it someone from a rival faction? Could it even be a player who betrayed his or her union and is a double-agent for another union? Heck, could it be Young Master Xehanort trying to stir up dissention between the unions, trying to break them apart so that way the Foretellers can easily be nabbed as members of the Thirteen Darknesses? Another point I wanted to bring up also comes from the anniversary event they bring up, although what I will be referring to is the First Anniversary event that happened a bit more than a year ago. In that, there were two interesting scenes, both involving The King. The first one I would like to bring up is an interaction with The King and one of the Foretellers, for a brief moment. Mickey says something along the lines of "What are you?" which indicates that Mickey hasn't yet - as of when he came into Chi's world - felt the presence of one of the foretellers. However, when all of the Xehanort Vessels were gathered together in KH 3D (when Young Xehanort tried to make Sora a vessel), Mickey didn't comment on it at the time, or even afterwards. Since their identites still remain unknown, it is indeed possible that none of the Foretellers could be vessels. The second scene I wanted to bring up was after King Mickey left the world, but Chirithy was watching him. Chirithy said something akin to "Oh, so that's the King..." which implies that Chirithy (or maybe multiple?) have gone outside of the pages of the tome. However, the only machine (as known thus far) that has been able to digitize data was King Mickey's machine, and its only known hackers were Pete and Maleficent. Either option a) Chi's storyline happens after Re:coded's storyline or b) someone else has a machine that can do the same thing or c) a combination of (a) and (b) or d) the characters in Chi (or perhaps only the Chirithies) have the ability to leave the storybook (which has been hinted at in the first scene between Ephemera and the player) and materialize in the real world. Given what Pete and Maleficent went through in Re:Coded, it is likely that they have technology akin to that after the fact. (d) is plausible; however, only time will tell if this is indeed possible. Or, I could be completely wrong and this could take a Corrector Yui spin, where the Chirithies were implanted in the tomes' data/writings by an outside source to protect it from (for lack of a better word) "bugs." Who knows though? One last thing I would like to bring up. In both 3D and Re:Coded, the worlds were altercations of their original world. That is, in both the data worlds and the sleeping worlds, they follow a different timeline, a different story, so it makes sense why Hercules is grown-up. Instead of starting at the beginning of Hercules's story, the Foretellers (game writers) decided to get to the action-packed center of it. Skip the boring (although sometimes needed) exposition and just go straight to the most climactic parts (the top of the bell curve, for the literature savvy among you). The tomes speak of different times, different stories. Their stories, their bosses, and their endings are different than the ones presented in the main games. That's the end of my thoughts, sorry for the wordy post!
