Starr raised an eyebrow towards Royce as he altered his bet in a way that was a lot more unlikely for him. He didn't know why but it was weird to see him so smug and confident when faced with impossible odds. It was like he knew something that nobody else did. Either way, Starr turned his attention to Dominic since he felt a bit bad about making the joke after being aware of the guy's condition. "Iridia is right, by the way." He said after ignoring Royce's whispering concerning the bet. "I'm only kidding. I tend to do that a lot so please excuse me if I ever sound rude. I don't really mean it." After clearing that up he turned his attention to Sapphira who had brought up the subject of teams and leaders. "Either way, I believe I would make a great leader, I am really great after all." Starr lied. There was no way he would make a good leader. In fact, he was fretting the chances of him becoming one. He knew there was no way they were going to choose him but if it came to it he wanted to lie about it despite knowing he would be bad at it. He believed that if he kept repeating something, even if it weren't true, then maybe someday he could convince himself.

Starr did not like the sound of that deal. What he disliked the most, however, was the idea of Royce and Iridia kissing. He couldn't tell if it was because he had feelings for the blue haired girl or if it was something else entirely, they had only just met after all, but what he was certain of was that he didn't want to be around when Iridia lost. He wasn't a pessimist but he knew that the chances of the two being in the same team were really low when taking into account the vast number of students that were going to be attending in Beacon. Before he could get even more lost in thought, a couple of students showed up, which Iridia introduced to him and Royce. Sapphira was Iridia's cousin while Dominic was a friend hers. Who had just met and were already holding hands. If only he could be so bold. Dominic tried to explain himself but his constant shuttering made his words hard to understand. Royce introduced himself and Starr thought to do the same. "As Iridia has already said I'm Starr. Nice to meet you." He introduced himself with a bow and despite understanding the situation he decided to tease the two with one of his jokes, despite completely understanding the situation. But after seeing how Dominic had reacted to Iridia's statement he feared that the guy was going to suffer from some odd panic attack. Either way, he went on with it because he needed something to get his mind away from the whole bet thing. "Either way, Dominic, it seems you have a way with the ladies. Care to offer some advice?"

The speech of professor Ozpin was not as exciting as he had hoped yet it was still enough to make him nervous. The most troubling part involved the formulation of teams. What if his teammates he ended up with didn't find him likeable? What if he failed to make a good first impression and they hated him? What if they found him untolerable and people were mad at his presence because they had to put up with him? He was confident in his combat skills but what if the others were much better and he ended up being a burden to the whole team? All those questions swirled inside his mind but then another question was posed which added to the stress. This one came from a very happy-looking Iridia. "Why did you all choose to be hunters?" The fact hunted him ever since he finished his training at the combat school he used to attend. He had no reason for being a hunter. It all started as a way to pass his lonely and dull life as a kid and after running away from home there was nothing else he thought he could do other than keep training. And now here he was. With no motivation. Just the passion to get stronger for no real reason, so he could spend the rest of his meaningless life slaying monsters. This was the only way to make himself useful in the world. There was no way he could reveal all that, since he had yet to fully confront that truth. For now Starr had to come up with a lie and so he came up with the most cliche answer. "I always dreamed of travelling the world, fighting monsters on the way, and having epic adventures." Starr quickly replied and instantly switched the attention to Royce. "What about you, Royce?"

Starr was expecting Roy L to open up more of a conversation after introducing himself but instead it was up to him to offer a new subject to talk about. Something Starr did not find enjoyable when he found it hard to come up with new things to talk about on the spot. His mind was racing at an alarming rate as he debated which questions he could ask in order to spring up everyones involvement to the same topic. He could ask about their weapons and semblances but he doubted their willingness to offer such important information when they could end up in rival teams. Maybe he could ask where they were from or why they chose to become hunters or what they were looking forward to the most. Before he could try and ask, however, he was forced to stop by the sound of echoing footsteps and the slight cough of professor Ozpin before starting his speech. (Thought I could progress a bit, but if anyone is not okay with it, I can edit it.)

Starr was awaiting for Irida's reply but before the conversation could continue, a guy dressed in black and white cut in by making a comment about their blue hair the two possessed. Apparently, it was a rare sight. Starr wasn't sure what to make of it. He did not feel offended since that rarely happened when interacting with other people, so instead he decided to take it as a joke and follow with another one instead of getting annoyed for no particular reason. Besides, the guy did not seem to have any ill will and it would be better to make friends instead of enemies. It was the first day after all. "Maybe it's fate. Maybe it's destiny. We may never know." Starr poetically stated in a humorous manner. "Who is the brave hunter who wishes to know?" He laughed his words off, however, and proceeded to speak normaly. "I'm Starr and this is Iridia." He introduced the both of them and offered his hand, "Nice to make your acquaintance."

I hear Clanad is really sad, though I've never seen it myself. Erased is an anime I'm currently watching it and I'm expecting some tearful moments to show up sooner or later. Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso / Your Lie in April is also really sad and is finished in case you want to watch it. That's all I've got, I think.

His eyes went wide as he was tossed the question but then realized that her hair where a lighter said of blue and his were a lot darker, which made the the two being related a rather unlikely situation. "Haha, I doubt it since my hair is way darker but, just in case, my last name is...Dandelion." He replied but was rather hesitant to offer his last name, of fear he might get recognized. His family wasn't too famous but a selected few were aware of their riches and businesses. Faltering aside, he concluded that she needed to know his last name if they were going to be friends. The conversation seemed to be going well so far but he couldn't help but feel that Iridia was trying too hard for some reason and the way she acted reminded him of himself when he was younger. Acting in proper form, and in a careful yet grandiose kind of way. The idea of them actually being related resurfaced. "So, what's your last name, if I may ask?"

The girl with the blue hair Starr had been looking out for had bumbed into him, giving him the chance to show off how cool he was and introduce himself without appearing to creepy or odd. The girl seemed fun and playful to be around and since he too was hyperactive most of the time, maybe she was the kind of person he wanted to hang out with. It would also be easier to open a conversation with her. And so, he mustered all of his courage and talked. "No, it's fine. Maybe I should had been more careful in here. You never know when a huntress might knock you down." He joked as he accepted her hand, allowing himself to be helped up. "I'm Starr, by the way. Nice to meet you."

I am interested but I can't roleplay much today because I need to study for tomorrow's exam.

That was the day. The first day at Beacon Academy and the most important one as well. Starr could not afford to mess this day up or else he would get labeled as "that guy" and then approaching others would be a lot harder. All he had to do for the day was play it cool, look outgoing and talkative, approach lots of people, come off as a social butterfly and secure a student life away from solitude and depression. Starr walked into the open hall along with all the others students with his head held up high and filled with confidence, ready to approach the first person he was going to lay eyes on. At first nobody really stood out to him but he then noticed a couple of girls which looked alike and were probably sisters. Since they had blue hair and he had blue hair, maybe there was some kind of connection. However, there were two of them together and they were probably going to be harder to approach. He scouted the area once more and then noticed a guy with a fedora dressed in red and black, leening on one of the pillars. He was alone and made for an easier confrontation. The girls, however, looked more approachable and he assumed they were a lot more willing to chat, unlike the lone figure which stayed distant from the rest of the students. Then again, if he played his cards right then he would gain a mysterious and interesting person to talk to, though it would be extremely hard trying to do small talk with him. Unable to choose, he decided to look around, hoping to find a better candidate.

Can we change Team DIAM to DIMD? It kind of sounds better. Also, if anyone else wants to be leader I have some alternatives. Weiss Schnee Template Name: Starr Dandelion Age: 17 Gender: Male Weapon: Rigel A (Alpha): One handed sword which can turn into a chain whip and twin guns. Made with a light, but less durable, metal dyed blue, it has a double-edged blade that has tiny golden stars scattered all over it and a purple hilt which acts like as a gun, but able to shoot from both ends. The bottom end allows for faster jabs while the one hidden between the hand-guard is only used in the Chain Whip form and is used to shoot at the chain whip in order to move it towards further distances with greater ease. When in twin handgun form, the grip splits into two while the blade shapes above them to give off the shape of bladed guns. The weapon is easy to wave off and can even break with enough force. When in twin handgun mode, the impact of bullets is greatly decreased to the point that there is no recoil and the bullets do little damage but can be shot with greater speed. Semblance: Starlight: The user is able to turn into light for a short amount of time in order to move at greater speed for short distances. Mainly used to dodge attacks, or to quickly close in on an opponent. While in light form he's untouchable but if he exceeds 2 seconds in that state, his Aura will experience a major decreace. If he finds a friend he considers close he will try to stay by their side and never make them feel neglected because he expects the same from others. He seeks a happy story and he wishes to achieve that by being a Hunter. There are times though when he wishes to be left alone. When others are not around he finds pleasure in solitude and will even try to avoid contact at times like these. He does not dislike others but there are moments when he has to stay secluded from the people he knows. Despite having many friends, he still thinks himself to be a loner who doesn't have anyone that truly cares about him. Bio: Starr was born in Atlas with a rich and overprotective family. His parents prevented him from hanging out with the "wrong people" and selected his friendships themselves which did not end up well since they were not the kind of people he liked. In the end, he secluded himself from the world and ended up unable to communicate with others effectively to the point he rarely spoke. Born with no siblings and parents who did not have time for him, he ended up having a childhood of solitude. He decided one day though to use that free time more productively and so he started to train in combat. Since there was no way his parents would agree to it, he trained by himself by strengthening his body and Aura and learning how to use his semblance. One day his parents found out though and got really mad. The argued and fought and in the end decided to make a deal. Starr was to fight against one of the bodyguards and if he managed to win, then he would be allowed to train at a combat school. If not then he would have to give everything up. When the fight started, Starr gave it his all but ended up losing without doing any damage. After that he was so mad at his parents that he decided to take a really rash decision. When he got the chance, he packed his things, took a large amount of money and ran away from home, traveling all the way to Veil in order to train at Signal Academy.
