Hmm would be nice to see but i wouldnt care if it wont happen anywhere in KH3.

I need a lot of discipline to not start with 0.2 because i didnt play DDD yet and i prefer playing in release order. I am waiting so long for KH3 now that it will make it very hard to chose since it will be the very first time i get to play KH3 material in 0.2.

I think that there is a possibility of KH 2.9 being announced at TGS 2015. That would be our Kingdom Hearts for 2016 then since Nomura aims to release one KH title per year and till now he kept this rythm. 2008 had the localized version of KH Re:CoM, 2009 had 358/2 Days, 2010 had BBS, 2011 had Re: Coded, 2012 had DDD, 2013 had 1.5, 2014 had 2.5, 2015 has Unchained χ and 2016 could have 2.9.

There is a reason why they never implement the original KH battlesystem like in KH1 and KH2 in spinoff titles. Its because it would confuse new and maybe even old players due to the similarity the spinoffs would have to the main titles and they wouldnt feel different after all. Also with each handheld KH game they are developing they are implenting their ideas in the game and collect feedback after its release to make sure that future games like KH3 will contain what we want instead of just throwing it in without listening to the fans that matter. Thats how i see it at least. Anyway, if CoM wouldn't have had the Card system it would have felt like KH1 just with a little improvements here and there and it would just have been a mere shadow of what KH1 is sinc ethose games share the same worlds.

In the Dive To Heart, the King guides Sora through his dream, explaining the intentions of the adventure. When Sora acquires the Keyblade for the first time after this, and just before passing through the last door of The End of The World, Sora hears a voice reverberate in him that sounds like the King’s. It seems so that those around him can’t hear this voice, indicating the King’s speaking to Sora’s heart directly." Also at the time where KH1 was released, Ventus was not even a thing because Nomura did not expect that KH1 would be such a huge success.

As much as i love Kingdom Hearts, im not sure if i would keep up with the series after KH3. It would depend on what the story after KH3 has in store and how the series is evolving in gameplay. But if Sora stops being the maincharacter in core Kingdom Hearts titles im definitely done with post-KH3 titles.
