Yes! I was thinking that! Isn't that strange! Maybe 30th Nov was the initial release date they had planned but worked really hard so they could announce an earlier release but then they've just realised they couldn't cut it.

I cancelled my ultimate collectors edition because I did'nt have the money haha! Wish I did'nt now...

Thanks pal, you're a really nice guy. It will be really interesting to see how everything plays out from here on in. Hopefully nothing else changes after this. In one of the above comments I think I've sorted how I'm going to play them both. I waited and got 2.5 for xmas so hopefully I will for 2.8 too.

I said exactly the same thing! I wonder too whether this will effect kh's release date at all and I'm not sure which to buy first now tbh. I think I will buy FF and wait for 2.8 as a Xmas day present. Thats my thoughts about it now. Hopefully Square realise there's no need to push the release date of 2.8 back when it's no ones fault on the kh team. But Nomura has said they are on track but has mentioned once or twice its one of the tightest deadlines they've ever had for a KH game. Hopefully this it doesn't affect the game at all.

It may be worth talking to your friend directly how you feel about the situation. You may feel better letting her know how you feel about it to try and avoid bottling your emotions up. It may prevent any confrontation later on if you speak to her about how you feel soon rather than later.

Yeah I agree with that. KH3 can be anticipated more since its almost been 10 years for myself (UK) since kh2 was released. I would love for KH3 to release before FF but its just so uncertain at the moment. If the kh3 trailer says now in development later this year it will put 2017 into serious doubt.

Yeah I agree. So do you think that FF will release first in 2017? Do you feel the hype for KH 15th anniversary is not worth getting our hopes up for? Like I say, one has to take priority over the other and it worries me when I've realised about FF7 20th anniversary. Maybe KH3 is destined for 2018 after all.

See thats the thing, it's highly anticipated for us the main fan base but others will argue and quite rightly, "FF7 is highly anticipated because its a remake with new current graphics." It's dawned on me with the anniversary of each game that eventually one has to take priority over the other and release first. It kind of scares me tbh how Square Enix will handle the release of both games. If KH3 releases a few months after I feel it will not get that attention it deserves. So that means spreading the releases out and waiting longer for the game. I'm just not sure how and uncertain how they're going to handle it. KH3 needs to release first to get the worlds attention. But that's my opinion.

FF7: 11.1 Million copies KH2: 3.8 Million copies Sorry don't mean to sound rude. The point I'm making is not to say "look at FF popularity compared to KH" I just feel KH3 needs to be given the best chance of sales either by releasing a few month before FF7 or way after.

Going to be honest, in my opinion its pretty much a given that FF7 will out sell KH3 by millions of copies and then some. (Sorry!) However in my opinion if they we're to both release in the same year of 2017 (may not happen but possible given anniversaries) KH3 would need to release before FF7. Not because I'm a KH fan but because FF7 will always out sell it's competition with ease no matter what game it's up against. So if both games ended up releasing in 2017 then KH3 would need to release first to give it a chance of not hindering it's sales. If FF7 releases first and then KH3 a few months later, everyone will be too busy playing FF7 and KH3 won't sell as well as intended. In my honest opinion though (which I don't like the thought of) FF7 will release in 2017 and KH3 early 2018. I think the calendar behind young Eraqus in the E3 2015 trailer was intentional to match up to March 2018 as the games worldwide release date. Another thing is.. we've barely had any information on FF7. We had those two trailers in 2015 and it wasn't at E3 this year because Nomura said he did'nt want to release info on the game until KH 2.8 releases.. and its like, what has that got to do with it? It seems strange but probable, given its anniversary, that FF7 will release in 2017 when KH3 was announced way before this remake. Like, we have to wait four years but then FF fans may only have to wait two years after the games announcement. Also we had to wait two years to get an official gameplay trailer where as FF7 got announced and then 6 months later they got a gameplay trailer. The development proccess and priority for KH doesn't exactly feel fair.

Personally I think they just did this to confirm to everyone that Terra will definitely return. I think in regards to Nomura calling it 'exclusive back story' to 0.2 BBS, I think it was just to make those who attended the concert feel special. I don't think there's anything exciting or exclusive about it or else it would have been included in the main game. It doesn't make me feel "OMG WE NEED TO SEE THIS SQUARE ENIX!" It was just a little sprinkle for thanking them for coming to the concert.
