alright, thanks a lot guys! i have enough judges for what's going up today, and after that's all up and going i'll start pm'ng more of you. thanks a ton. and if you volunteer/judge/whatever, you can't participate in what you're helping with, but you can participate in other contests or other sections of that contest. (for example, if you judge in traditional art, you can't participate in traditional art but you can enter digital art or any non art related contest)

need moar volunteers pls events (that we're for sure doing) will include things like video editing writing contests (including fanfiction) some form of talent show some form of kh-voice dubbing contest graphics/image editing contest(s) art contests (digital & traditional) and id like to have a few more. with the first contests starting tomorrow i'd really like more volunteers/judges. if you could also add what things you'd prefer to judge that'd be super helpful. and i just got the one person replied thing oh hatok hi would you mind saying what you like judging lolol

locking due to a.; was going to move to random since half of it isn't actually a discussion thread and is rather spammy b.; decided this was really just fuel for members to fight with each other so locking. It you want to discuss this situation going on with Israel and the Gaza Strip, I'd have to ask that the thread remained as neutral on the subject as possible so as to avoid fighting. As the conflict is rather new and is an ongoing event, I'd personally hold off on making any discussion about it until I could be sure it wouldn't just result in a flame war/offended members on both sides. hey you know what a vampire looks like? however you want, they're not real my problem with the twilight series is that edward and bella's relationship is so glorified, to the point where it's used as a marketing campaign to 'want a boyfriend like edward' and 'have the twilight perfect relationship' and et cetera when in reality their relationship shows every sign of an abusive relationship and more. i could care less about the book itself, i just find the messages that it sends and are being emphasized by the media to be disturbing.

The poem is cute and I like the image/story it's trying to portray, however the poem itself is lacking any rythm or flow. As a result it feels really blocky and awkward. One way to fix that is to get rid of all the ellipsis you threw in and only put them where it feels significant instead of using them for aesthetic means, and to check the amount of syllables you have each line. I hope you write more poems, personally it's one of my favourite writing forms. :}

Hey, your story's falling short of the writing forum's standard for grammar. Please add puncuation and capitalize letters where they need to be capitalized. Basically just clean it up a bit. If you need an example, here's an edited version of one of your paragraphs in the latest update. It's hard for me to even edit this due to the fact you keep jumping between past-present-future tenses. At points it's impossible to actually understand what the story is saying. If you have more questions or need any help, go ahead and ask. I don't want to scare you off from writing, I want you to become a better writer and keep writing.

@dave i thought about that, but i wasn't sure many people would actually be up for writing an essay unless we somehow made it like a joke essay of some sort... ?

you can't participate in something you are also the judge of, however you can be judge of writing section/group/thing/how to words, and participate in different one (i.e.; judge poetry, participate in short stories)
