  1. Why yes, you did read the title correctly. Info from an article by Crunchyroll: Shueisha's Shōnen Jump Plus digital manga magazine began publishing a brand new DragonBall spin off manga entitled "Dragon Ball Gaiden: Tensei-shitara Yamcha Datta Ken" (or in English: "Dragon Ball Side Story: The Case of Being Reincarnated as Yamcha"). Also important: this manga is illustrated by fan artist DragonGarowLee, famous in the DragonBall community for his unofficial DragonBall x One Punch Man crossover stories, including a work where he pit Saitama against Vegeta. The manga centers around a perverted high school student from the real world who suddenly finds himself reincarnated in the body of Yamcha from the DragonBall series. Being a fan of DragonBall and aware of Yamcha's role in the series as "Ultimate Chewtoy For Life", he uses his knowledge of future events to his advantage and sets out on a quest to make himself, as Yamcha, the strongest character possible. You can read the first chapter here, but of course, it is in entirely in Japanese with no apparent signs of a fan translation or an English release as of this time. But even without words, it's pretty easy to figure out what's going on. Quick note before I go on: I made a thread a while back about Shuiesha opening a new DragonBall department, and I suspect this new project may be connected to that, but I can't confirm otherwise. Also, if you don't follow DragonBall Super, the recent episode was heavily Yamcha centered as it was a comedy filler about baseball, so that might have something to do with it too. Anyways, the manga: This is, by far, the most entertaining and hilariously awesome idea I've seen since... well, the DragonBall Super baseball episode. Yamcha has become such a joke character (and I mean that in the nicest of ways) that even Japan recognizes how much comedy material they can crank out of him with things such as the "Saibaiman Pose" becoming a trademark merch seller as well as the aforementioned DBS episode. And quite frankly: it works. Very well. If you're a fan of Yamcha (if that's even possible... I kid, I kid), I highly recommend you check this out. It's a bit of a stretch in terms of actual storytelling, but it's also obviously a tongue-in-cheek take on the character and his progression through the original storyline, so I think it's worth a few laughs just based on the premise alone. Also, I'm totally behind the idea of more fan artists being called on by Shuiesha to do official DragonBall work ala Toyotaro and the DragonBall Super manga and everything else he's done. UPDATE: According to this tweet from @Herms98 (aka Herms from Kanzenshuu), DragonGarowLee himself has stated that this manga will last 3 chapters.
  2. Nomura seems to be delivering on his promise that the 15th Anniversary for Kingdom Hearts will be one worth remembering. So far, nearly each month for the first 6 months of 2017 (except April at the moment), has some to give the KH community. We are getting: · Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue in January; the first new story content since KH3D in 2012 · Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ - Skuld Story Content in January · Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ – Multiplayer Mode in February · Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIX in March; completing the puzzle that puts nearly every KH game on the PS4 · The long-awaited final volume of Kingdom Hearts II (manga) Vol. 4 in May · And finally, Kingdom Hearts II: The Novel Vol. 1 in June which gives hope that more KH novels will be on the way With all this, 2017 is shaping up to be a great year for us KH fans. Do you guys think that they’ll give us something in April? Does Nomura/Square Enix have a plan for the whole year perhaps capping the year off with Kingdom Hearts III? What else you guys want for KH’s 15th Anniversary Celebration?
  3. So there's this new horror manga out called the promised Neverland. The first chapter came out on August 8th, there are only 2 chapters out so far. I can't say much without spoiling it but this manga will blow up more than likely in the next year or so. To keep it short, there are a bunch of kids who live in an orphanage and everything is so perfect until the 3 protagonists make a huge discovery that changes everything. Never heard that one before
  4. Warning- This manga/manhua I am about to recommend is SHOUNEN AI!! DISCLAIMER: The definition of Shounen Ai, according to KissAnime, is "anime or manga whose central theme is about a relationship (or strong affection, not usually sexual) between two boys or men. Do you like comedy? Do you like to cry intensely at certain times*? Do you like chapters released about every week or so*? Do you like Shounen Ai? This manga is for you!! 19 Days is a work by Chinese manga artist Old Xian. It is a manhua about: "the cute and funny* adventures about a boy and his best friend". Note: 19 Days is not how many days are in the story line, it is just what Old Xian titled the project. Follow Jian Yi and Zhan Zheng Xi (plus two other guys and like two girls) as they go through their last year of high school together. Oh, and bring some tissues because you might cry because of laughter and sadness. Note: Chapters 1-54 are part of an art book Old Xian did before starting up the story completely. Current Number of Chapters: 165 It is rated 89th right now on MangaFox. Warnings: Contains some strong language and suggestive themes. Read it here!! http://mangafox.me/manga/19_days/ Questions: Q: Wait Neko...you read YAOI?! A: I read some yaoi yes. 19 Days is not classified as yaoi. Q: Wait Neko...why are there asterisk's (*) beside some things A: Look in the spoiler if you dare: Thanks for reading
  5. Do you have any soft spots for characters in games, shows, books, manga, anime, etc.? And if you feel comfortable with telling us, you may also tell us what makes you feel that way about that character or characters. For me, well, I guess it's a little bit too obvious, isn't it? Well, I have plenty of soft spots for my favorite characters, but I've already explained the one for Veemon like 7 times now, so I'll share a lesser known one of mine. (Not the character itself is less known, but my soft spot for that character is less known) Sonic the Hedgehog. Him and Mario were my first favorite characters of all-time. Sonic Adventure 1 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle were the first Sonic games I played, and I just loved playing as Sonic! (And also Tails, but that's a tail for another time. ) Well, that's enough from me for now. How about you? Do you have any soft spots? Rock on!
  6. OMG!!!! I can't even!!!! This was such a good chapter!!!! We finally And then we find out And Gah!!!! I screamed out loud when I got to that part! So to those who have read it, what are your thoughts? I personally LOVED it!!!
  7. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of 19 Days, a currently very popular Shounen-Ai Chinese Manga. I discovered the manga about a month ago and am absolutely in love with the humor, drama, and the soft romance we get from this manga. It is in a very interesting art style and is by Old Xian. The summary of the manga, as told by MangaFox is... "The cute and funny adventures of a boy and his best friend." If you are into Shounen-Ai, check this manga out!!
  8. Article The "Next Generation" Naruto countdown issued by WSJ is now closed, and the project behind it is now confirmed: a brand, new full length "Boruto" manga, written by Ukyo Kodachi, who wrote Gaara Hiden and worked on the screenplay for Boruto The Movie, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, an assistant to Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto on the original Naruto manga. Kishimoto himself will also be making a new Boruto one-shot that will most likely tie into this brand new series. The above image coupled with the announcement graphic is presumably artwork done by Ikemoto himself and might be a preview of what to expect from the new manga. Not too much in terms of significance is shown other than some new or altered character designs. However, there are some new elements such as the return of Team Shinki, a genin team from Sand Village featured in Boruto The Movie, as well as a new unknown character located on the far right. I, for one, was expecting a new manga rather than something like a new anime or film, so I'm not too surprised by this. I wasn't counting on a new one-shot, though.
  9. The writer and artist of the Kingdom Hearts manga, Shiro Amano, has informed us today via an official statement on Twitter, that the manga series has come to a close. Shiro Amano confirmed he will no longer be creating any further manga's based on the Kingdom Hearts video game franchise. A translation of Amano's tweet can be read below thanks to Katie Armstrong (karmstrong0932@gmail.com): The Kingdom Hearts manga began twelve years ago in 2003 and told the stories of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts II. The final manga and tenth volume of Kingdom Hearts II was released in Japan in August. The manga is well known for its humor, additional story elements, and slight alterations in plot to the franchises' original games. The manga that have yet to be released in English will still be published by Yen Press in the US. What are your thoughts on the Kingdom Hearts manga ending? Do you have a favorite section with in the manga you would like to share? Let us know in the comments section below!

  12. Well its been awhile KH13! I am returning with a new account and some new sketches! 1- Roxas 2- Sora (KHIII) 3- Guy from KHUx
  13. Quick question: Is the Kingdom Hearts manga canon? Because after reading some of manga, Vexen somehow lived after Chains of memories and left the organisation. (As showed here) Him being alive might affect Kingdom Hearts 3 in someway. (Vexen as a supporting character?)
  14. http://www.shonengamez.com/2015/05/16/dragon-ball-super-to-get-a-manga-adaptation-as-well/ That's right. Alongside the new DragonBall anime coming up in July will be a manga adaption of the same name. The manga is being handled by Akira Toriyama alongside Toyotaro, the artist behind DragonBall Heroes: Victory Mission and the DragonBall Z: Resurrection 'F' manga adaption. Now, adapting an anime into a manga and vice-versa is not a new idea, especially not for DragonBall's demographic, but it appears the manga is reportedly going to release at the time as the anime will be airing on television. It is going to be a straight adaption? Or maybe it'll cover events not going to be shown in the anime? I personally don't have the answer, but I am excited/interested none-the-less.
  15. A simple banner I made, to highlight some of the similarities between Kairi and Naminé that I just noticed in the mangas:)
  16. This is the first of many others to come. I made this in 2007. I accidentally added Papuwa and Pani Poni Dash, but they are licenced by Square-Enix as well. I also added Elfen Lied's Lucy on the pic just for the heck of it, she really was a sad character that deserved a happy ending. As you can see, many characters, including heroes and villains from Kingdom Hearts, Fullmetal Alchemist, Disney and Final Fantasy, are on this picture. I hope you all love it.

  21. To signify Xehanort's dedication to Father, he bonded Saix's body with what remained of Envy after he was defeated by Marcoh and the Chimera traitors in Briggs. Now that the two became one, Father gave them a small fragment of the Gate to use as a weapon, hence the Keyblade's arch enemy, the Gatesword. With it, Envaix could summon anything he wanted from the Gate of Truth, including the Unversed! He will appear soon in Fullmetal Kingdom.

  22. This was a type of character I wanted to see in Kingdom Hearts AND Fullmetal Alchemist. His strength and alchemy seem to be his greatest weapon, but his greatest is actually his own mind. If anyone likes Lex Luthor, Magneto, and Batman, hopefully, they'll love Crimson.
