What are stupid things on the filters on your school's internet?

 

 

Biggest one for me? YouTube is blocked. It's categorized as pornography. Which isn't even allowed on there, idiots. Also, it constantly leads to kids needing a teacher to override it so they can do some research or whatever. IT'S POINTLESS. IT'S HIGH SCHOOL. EVERYONE IS OLD ENOUGH TO BE ON YOUTUBE.

 

 

Also, they pretty much corrupted the hell out of Wikipedia. ALL images are blocked, leading to annoyance if you want to do a project or research on a school computer, and it also makes the pages look awful.

Hmmm lets think my old school blocked all flash, wikipedia, youtube, the search engine was badly filtered, google was blocked, and we had a teacher for every computer watch it. -_-

During high school, sites like Facebook, Friendster, YouTube and Twitter weren't allowed. But me and my friends would always hack into the Admin account just to surf all we want. Haha.

KH13 was blocked at my high school. D: Although it's pretty flattering that my website is important enough to be on a block list. I don't think it'd be automatic...

my school blocks:

• facebook
• youtube
• kh13
• any forum site (except for super meat boy )
• any game site
• and image hosting site (which makes getting images for schoolwork pretty hard)
• typing certain phrases into google images will be blocked
• going onto a proxy site will get you blocked
• also going on any of these things will alert the technicians
• if you are caught doing something like editing a website on your computer, the technicians will block you for a month

Hm,the only thing that my school has blocked is youtube,Facebook,Twitter and some other sites.But I can go to KH13,Google,and other sites that are usually blocked by the school.The only way we can see youtube is if we're with a teacher and the teacher is going to use youtube for a class.

They never block KH13 at my school, it's weird.

I normally just go around the system whenever I use the computer and want to get on youtube.

Hulu isn't blocked at mine, so I watch shows on there too. : D

 

My school's actually very lenient on what they block. They're more focused on deleting the next game file whenever someone puts counterstrike onto our servers. lmao.

We only got Wikipedia

90% of my school's internet is blocked. but WINX CLUB WEBSITE and some PORN SITES aren't. HELL NO.

The main ones that are blocked are: Facebok, MYspace, Twitter, Youtube, all email websites, and this website it sucks

If you do a web search, about half of the sites will be blocked. However, if you do a image search, you will still find nude pics. WTH. And no, I have not tried it. I have seen other people try it.
