"Let the X-Over begin..."

 

 

Arc 1: Beginnings

 

 

City Z from One Punch Man (Son Gohan, Gon Freecs, Serena/Sailor Moon, and Killua Zoldyck)

 

An orange stray cat was walking across the concrete ground between a building and a fence. The cat stopped its own tracks when it saw a young spiky haired boy with a purple attire lying against a building unconscious. The cat slowly moved closer to the boy, gently putting its on his face.

 

The boy's eyes started to open. His arm slowly rose which startled the cat, jumping in the air and scurrying off in the opposite direction from where it came.

 

"....Ugh..." The boy's hand rubbed his forehead. "Wh-...What happened?" The boy's eyes awoke only halfway. His vision was blurred upon waking up. He looked around with his vision clearing. From what he could see, it was as bright as day. He could hear people chatting about. He soon got up, stumbling a bit before regaining his balance by using the building wall for a little support. He soon looked to his left and a bunch of people walking about through their daily lives.

"This doesn't look like home...Where am I?" He asked himself.

 

"Hey!" Another young voice was heard. The spiky haired boy looked both ways. Not one soul was there.

"Who's there?" The boy asked, still looking around.

 

"Up here! Behind you!"

 

The boy turned around and looked up, stepping back. Another young boy was there, on top of the roof of the building. He wore green clothing along with a yellow backpack which seemed to have a fishing rod in it.

 

The boy on the roof smiled and said, "My name's Gon. Who are you?" He asked politely.

"I'm Son Gohan." The boy responded.

 

Musutafu, Japan from My Hero Academia (Son Goten, Monkey D. Luffy, the Bobobo Gang, Kotestu, and Barnaby)

 

In a giant city with multiple districts, some of the X-ers here would probably be laying around in an alley, on top of a building, or even on a perfectly clean beach. Or in a tree...That happens. It would still be daylight around here though and tons of people are bustling about.

 

Karakura Town (Akame, Haru, SHUN, and Giorno)

The sun was just coming up once the X-ers here landed. This would be a quiet town. Not many people are roaming about here. In fact...Barely anyone's around here...

 

A red haired girl lies on a building wearing a school uniform. She seems unconscious...Not even the sunlight has any effect on her...

Capsule Corp.

 

Bulma chuckled at Luffy's comments of food. "You know, you remind of a friend of mine when he was kid. As matter of fact, he was always that way." She then nodded to all of the agreements. "Then to the lab we go! Plus lunch!" She announced.

 

As the group headed to the lab, Haru walked up to Bulma who was leading the group at the moment. "Miss Bulma?" Haru asked.

"Yes? What is it?" Bulma responded. "Um...Haru's name is Haru and...Haru was wondering if you could help her with her aniser...Amisa...Ami...Ami..."

"Amnesia?" Gon and Gohan finished, helping Haru out.

"Yes! Haru's Amnesia!"

"You have amnesia?" The blue haired woman felt a tug on her dress. She looked down to see Gon. "She mentioned that she could only remember her first name." He explained.

"Only her first name? Aw, the poor child..." Bulma then looked at Haru with a smile. "We'll see what we can do about that. Okay Haru?"

"Okay! Thank you Miss Bulma!"

~Serena and Son Goten~

 

Serena groans as she placed her hand on her face, still hurting after she slammed her face on the tree. Goten frowned, thinks that no one believes him. "i see.." He follows group and looks down sadly.

Bulma chuckled at Luffy's comments of food. "You know, you remind of a friend of mine when he was kid. As matter of fact, he was always that way." She then nodded to all of the agreements. "Then to the lab we go! Plus lunch!" She announced.

Luffy grinned when he heard that, already starting to drool in anticipation of some food. "Can't wait for it!"

 

Along with the rest of the group, he and Gray followed Bulma then.

Sarada

Sarada stuck close to Boruto as the group proceeded towards the lab. She was a little irritated to see him continue to brag to the others. He just can't miss out on a chance to show off his skills, huh...? She started to stare at him for a little while as they walked. Then again... he's done a lot... I suppose he deserves the attention. She drifted off into thought as she looked at her comrade and friend.

 

 

Akame

Akame walked with the others towards the lab; she stayed near Franky and Rin since she knew them better than the others, although she remained quiet and observed the rest of the group.

Sarada stuck close to Boruto as the group proceeded towards the lab. "Huh?" Boruto caught Sarada's gaze in the corner of his eye and looked back. "Whatcha lookin' at, Sarada?"

Both Killua and Shun followed Bulma who was leading the group to the lab.

Shun however was surprised when he noticed how much outdated everything in her house was. For the house of a rich scientist, it  sure is outdated...

~Capsule Corp Lab~

 

In the rather large and highly technical lab, Bulma had discovered a shocking and stunning discovery within these stones. And she was just explaining to the group what she had found out. Their reactions should come up in about...

 

"OTHER DIMENSIONS!!?"

 

Now.

 

"Calm down, calm down! At least let me explain everything else first!" Bulma said. "Anyways, like I said, these stones have the power to traverse through multiple realms and dimensions! This is an ultra rare discovery to all of mankind and creatures alike! Given the appearance of these things, I've come with a name for them. Cross-Stones, with an X." She said.

"X-Stones...Woah..." Gohan whispered to himself. He had been to other planets, sure, but dimensions? This was on a whole 'nother level! Gon was just as surprised seeing the expression on his face. "No way...That's insane! But...Then again..." He then looked around the room. "If those stones can break through other dimensions...Does that mean we're from other dimensions too?" He asked. The blue-haired scientist nodded in confirmation. "I would assume so. Honestly to me, it would make a lot of sense."

"Then that must mean we're in Gohan's world right now! Awesome!" Gon exclaimed.

 

Dimensions? ....Is Haru from a dimension? The red haired girl thought to herself. Maybe Haru...Is from Mr. Shun's Dimension...Or Ms. Akame's...

"X-stones?"  Bobobo asks, then says:  "So, like Cross-X-Stones, X-Cross-Stones, Stones the Xross,, X the Stones, Crisscross across the gloss moss....boss?"   "........What?"  A confused Jelly Jiggler asked.  Bobobo​:  "I don't know."

 

"Ya know..."  Don Patch says while crossing arms, "this kind of reminds me of something."  "Really?  Of what?"  Bobobo asked.  Don Patch​:  "A game.  One including projects or something.  But I can't remember the name."  Bobobo​:  "Oh, I get what you mean.  Huh.  I don't know what it's called either.  Do you Jelly?"  "Nope."  Jelly answered while shaking his head.  The trio gave up on trying to remember and looked at the stones.

Barnaby and Kotetsu stared at Bulma with their jaws dropped. Dimensions. They all came from different dimensions. Not cities, not world, but alternate realities as a whole. "Bunny, tell me you heard it as well? Dimensions, right? We traveled through dimensions?!" Kotetsu asked. Barnaby nodded. "Yup." Barnaby said. To him, things finally made a little bit of sense since waking up somewhere besides the city he called home. These rocks had the incredible ability to teleport people across dimensions...but it still didn't explain what teleported them away in the first place, before finding the rocks. Barnaby was sure that he hadn't encountered any of these rocks before. He would have remembered. Barnaby stepped closer, looking up at Bulma. "If they have this power, as you say...do you have any idea how to make them work? Maybe we can use them to go back home?" Barnaby asked. Not that he wasn't having fun, but he didn't like the idea of staying in a whole different dimension for the rest of his life. "Yeah. Is there any way to activate them? I mean, we held them and tossed them around and they activated all on their own back at the restaurant." Kotetsu hummed. "Maybe these rocks have a mind of their own, so only they can teleport us whenever they feel like it." "Well that would be very mean of them."

"Another dimension?" Gray mumbled to himself after this revelation. This reminds me of Edolas. Although that was a parallel universe.

"Well this explains the lack of any magic here. But I would have never expected to land in another dimension... Is there any way to get us back into our own ones?" He asked Bulma then.

 

"What? Another dimension?" Luffy tilted his head, needing a few seconds to fully understand what meaning this all had. "But wait, I need to get back then! I can't become Pirate King here, and I have to see my friends again!"

"Other dimensions, huh? I've been to another dimension!" Boruto blurted out.

 

"Wait really?" Rin asked.

 

"Well sure! It's where I got to beat this big bad alien dude all by myself! That's why everybody in my village calls me the Great Master Boruto!"

 

"Whoa, you really are awesome, Ninja Kid!" Rin grinned big as his eyes sparkled in admiration.

 

"Dimensions huh? I've seen some weird stuff, but this about takes the cake." Franky interjected.

Shun wasn't surprised when Bulma mentioned that the group are in an other dimension, since he was already travelling between dimensions before. "...I thought as much. It also explains the outdated technology here."

 

 Although he was surprised, Killua didn't really care much about the news: "I guess that's why some people here are so weird.  "

Bulma shook her head in a negative matter. "We haven't got a clue on how to activate them or what caused them to activate. All we know is that they're the cause of what's happening to you guys." Bulma then handed each of the X-Stones back to the group. Orange to Boruto, Green to Barnaby, and Red to Akame. "You guys should keep them. I've done all I could to figure out these magnificent beauties." She added with a smile. "Besides, these things transported you here right? Maybe you'll find out more about them later on."
Gohan nodded to the suggestion, agreeing with Bulma. "Right. Thanks for all your help Bulma." He said.
"No prob!"
 
"Are you ready for some high-tension action!?"
 
The highly excited, over-the-top voice caught the attention of Gohan and Gon. It came from a television set showing a commercial. It showed a short blonde haired man with sunglasses wearing a suit of green with a purple tie speaking into the microphone.
 
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime event folks! Witness the adrenaline rushing, heart-pounding event know as..."

"The EXTREME WORLD TOURNAMENT!!!"

 

"Extreme...World Tournament? What's a World Tournament?" Haru asked.

 

"Yes, that's right! A tournament exclusively made for super-powered fighters from all around coming together in an epic historical clash!! Hard-hitting punches, rapid kicks, cutting edge-slashes, mind-blowing techniques! But wait! There's more! Not only will the winner of the tournament receive a haystack of 6,000,000, Zenny, but also..."

 

The TV screen then shows a White X-Stone on-screen in a glass resting on a small purple pillow.

 

"This extremely rare crystal!!"

 

Gon, Gohan, and Haru gasp at the sight of it. "That's a X-Stone!!"

 

"So to all those fighters and warriors out there, think you've got what it takes? Then come and participate in the EXTREME WORLD TOURNAMENT!!! In West City located at the giant stadium building. And for those who want to witness all the action, BUY TICKETS NOW!! Only 4,000 Zenny a ticket."

 

The commercial then went off changing to a show starring a robot girl with two flying green haired human-like beings running while saying "Kiiiiiiiii!!!"

"Th...The extreme World Tournament...." Gohan said in awe.

 

"We've gotta enter in!" Gon said with pure excitement and confidence. "It sounds like so much fun! Just thinking about it gets me super hyped up!"

"Haru's still confused...What's a World Tournament?" The red-haired girl asked again.

"We've gotta enter in!" Gon said with pure excitement and confidence. "It sounds like so much fun! Just thinking about it gets me super hyped up!"

 

"Same here! It looks like a ton of fun! Maybe you and I will finally get a chance to square off too!" Boruto said.

 

"A tournament? Huh. They probably let me enter since I only have my sword and my flames..." Rin mused.

 

"Sounds pretty super, but getting that crystal is top priority," Franky said, then turned to Luffy. "Still: I already know you're lookin' to enter 'n win. Am I right, Captain?"

"Gon's got the right idea!  Who knows what sort of fighters will be there?"  Bobobo added

 

"Don't forget the prize money!!  At least I think it's money.  A whopping 6,000,000 of it!!  I could do whatever I want with that much!"  Don Patch shouted very eagerly. 

 

"Uh guys?  I think Franky is right.  We should focus on getting that X-Stone first."  Jelly said to them.  But Bobobo and Don Patch completely ignored him as they were focused on the tourney.  Jelly​:  "And you two are ignoring me.  As usual."

Kotetsu and Barnaby stared at the TV, then at each other, then back at the TV. "How did they get their hands on one of those anyways?" Kotetsu asked. "Regardless how they did, it's another piece that can help us find a way to return home." Barnaby said as he looked around. "I think, everyone here that is capable of doing so, should enter the tornument for a chance to win the X-Stone. We're a big group as we are, and the bigger our number entering the tournament, the higher the chance that one of us might end up winning the X-Stone." Barnaby said, smiling a bit. "I've never been to a tournament before...I think it could also be a bit fun, as long as we don't get seriously injured in the process." "You know, I think I like that idea." Kotetsu said as he scratched the back of his helmet. "This might be our missing component. Besides, I think that getting most of us to join won't be much of a problem. Half of you guys are agreeing already" Kotetsu said smiling with a chuckle. He'd never heard of a tournament like this. NEXT weren't exactly either fully loved or fully loathed by society, and seeing how much powers varied, there wasn't enough reason to simply create a tournament between NEXT when the HeroTV made all the competition they needed. This, however, was different, and Kotetsu wouldn't mind giving it a taste. "Count Bunny and I in! Let's have fun and go after the stone!" Kotetsu said. "Well, we should go ahead and start heading over to the registry to try and sign up before all the spaces are taken up."

When Luffy saw this commercial his eyes began to sparkle and he completely forgot about getting back into his own dimension. "THIS IS AWESOME!! I bet a lot of strong guys will be fighting there!" He said, slamming his fist into his open palm to show how ready he was for some battles.

"Sounds pretty super, but getting that crystal is top priority," Franky said, then turned to Luffy. "Still: I already know you're lookin' to enter 'n win. Am I right, Captain?"

"Of course Franky, hehe." Luffy grinned. "I will finally get some action there!"

 

Gray on the other hand was more interested in that new X-Stone. Maybe it will help us somehow to get back...

"I think this tournament is a great idea. And like Barnaby said, with our big group we got a higher chance of winning the X-Stone."

~Serena/Sailor Moon and Goten~

 

Serena had her mouth wide open when she watch the announcement of the tournament. "6,000,000 bucks!? That's a lot of money!" She said. She thought of something and grinning like an idiot. Goten smiles And laughs bit as he was hype for the tournament. He then realized something, he can't sign up. Goten remembered the last time when they had the tournament, he's not allowed to enter the main one because he's too young for it. Instead, they placed him in the children tournament. He wondered that is the tournament gonna do the same thing. "hey, Bulma. Can the tournament allowed younger kids to enter?" He asked.

"Hey, Bulma. Can the tournament allowed younger kids to enter?" He asked.

 

Boruto overheard Goten. "Wait what? What do you mean 'younger kids'? Do people not let kids fight in tournaments with grown ups in this world? If so, then that's pretty lame..." He sulked.

Akame

 

Akame took the X-Stone back from Bulma. "Thank you," she spoke formally as she studied the stone. Her thoughts were interrupted as the room began buzzing with talk of the tournament and another stone. "A tournament...?" If I enter, I'll have to avoid using the Murasame... I believe that I could pull that off. We need to learn more about these stones. "I will enter the tournament as well. Good luck to the others who are participating," she said as she gazed around the room. She hadn't seen many of them fight, and she was becoming curious about their capabilities. This would be the perfect chance to learn more about them.

 

 

Sarada

 

Sarada sighed while Boruto continued to boast about his encounter with Momoshiki. He just won't let anyone forget, huh? The tournament caught her attention, however. "That does sound interesting... I hope there isn't an age restriction, though," she muttered. Most of the others were older, but she knew that age and strength weren't necessarily connected. Boruto had taken out Momoshiki, after all. Now he's even got me thinking about it... A small smile formed on her face. "Just know that I won't lose to you, Boruto. I'm going to become the Hokage one day, I can't lose here!"

Gon then faced Gohan with full excitement in his eyes. "What about you Gohan?" He asked eagerly. The Half-Saiyan snapped out of his own thoughts and looked at Gon. "Wh-What?"

"Will you enter the Tournament?" The boy asked again.

Gohan crossed his arms. "Hmm...Honestly, I don't know..." He began to say. "I haven't had a real fight in about 3 years." He stated.

"3 years? But you still seem pretty good! You took out those giants like they weren't anything!" Gon said. "Yeah, but those were giants. Not fighters." Gohan looked at his own hands. "Besides...Last time I was in a tournament, it was for survival. But I ended up getting someone's life lost in the process..."

 

"I'd say you should enter!" Bulma suggested. "I mean, you are Goku's son right? The big guy's always been participating in tournaments like this just to have a good time! Heck, I know for sure he'd want his son to fight in this thing, don't you think?"

 

"Bulma..." Gohan then faced Gon again. His eyes still sparkled with excitement. The half-Saiyan cracked a smile and nodded. "Yeah. Count me in too!" He said with sudden confidence. "Come on! Let's enter that tournament and get that X-Stone!"

 

Bulma then looked down at Goten, hearing his question. "I haven't heard anything about a Junior Division, then again, I haven't been paying that much attention to it..." She looked down at Goten again, blinking. "Wait a minute...Gohan?"

The young Saiyan turned around to face the blue haired woman. "Yes Bulma?"

"You said Goten used to be younger, right?"

"Yeah. Though I don't know how he got older or how he even got into this mess."

"Hmm...I think I know." She started. "So here's what I'm thinking: Goten didn't get older. Goten traveled through time. This Goten is from the future, seeing how he's been interacting with us."

"You mean like how Trunks did?" Gohan blinked and looked down at his younger, "future" brother.

"Maybe. Perhaps those stones have an effect on time as well."

Kotetsu threw his arms into the air. "Then let's get going!" Kotetsu cheered, smiling. He turned to Serena, concerning her question if there was an age limit. "That is a good question...well, if there is, I'm sure they'll tell us when we go to register." Kotetsu said cheerfully, looking at Bulma. "No worries, we will come back with that X-stone." He assured, though it was easier said than done. Barnaby stepped up. "We have to be careful and considerate of when we use our powers." Barnaby added. "If using them is allowed, too." Barnaby said. "Oh you're right Bunny! We have to ask if we're allowed to use our powers too!" Kotetsu gasped, though he didn't seem fazed. "Just one more thing to ask when we get there, then. Come on guys! We won't want the registry to full up!" Kotetsu said with a smile, beginning to walk, Bunny quick behind. The last thing that they wanted to do was to accidentally kill someone while trying to win. They were heroes, not murderers. Not even in their careers neither Barnaby or Kotetsu had killed someone...and this wasn't going to change that, they hoped.

"Just know that I won't lose to you, Boruto. I'm going to become the Hokage one day, I can't lose here!"

 

Boruto smirked. "Right back atcha. The great Master Boruto won't lose to anybody, not even you!"

~Son Goten~

 

Goten was shocked and thinks about it. "Ohh, it makes sense now. That means I'm in the past. So my big brother hasn't met Videl yet, and my dad is still dead." He crossed his arms As he continues. "how old I am in the past? 1 or 2?" He asked. Goten placed his hand on the back of his head and scratches gently.

"Don't have to tell us twice!"  Bobobo and Don Patch replied to Kotetsu as they started walking.  Jelly Jiggler shrugged his shoulders and said:  "Might as well."  He follows Bobobo and Don Patch, hoping he won't run into trouble.
