Ever since I first saw Riku Kairi and Sora in KH2, I couldn't help but think they grew up...too much! It was only a year, yet it seemed like they grew about 5 years or so. Even their voices (sora especially) are different. I feel like KH1 sora and KH2 sora are like different people entirely! And to some extent his personality changes too. Bummer...

It's actually been a year and some odd months, but that's not important.

 

You know, that's what people do when they age and experience new things. They change.

Imagine you don't see a friend for a year. You're going to think they look a lot different when you see them again. They wanted them to look more mature after all they'd experienced. If we'd been able to follow the progression, it wouldn't be nearly as drastic as you seem to think it is.

I think I can actually understand Kairi and Riku. Sora was my main focus, haha

i think riku and kairi changed the most. riku gained an enormus amount of height, and kairi changed alot too in height in figure in character.

 

but its acualy not to weird. im a sophmore and all the guys i knew last year who were 14 turning fifteen and even now 15 turning 16 shot up in height.guys who were like a foot shorter. and soras voice being deaper aint all that weird. donald and goofy even coment on it in yen sids tower.

 

kairis height and stuff i get, but her personality change killed my view of her a little. i mean she went from bold and brash and tom boy and strong to the stereotypical daamesel in destress helpless girly girl. (runs and hides from kairi fans)

ps i dont HATE her, i just like her less!

 

but i think they look like they grew too much. i wish they would have kept rikus hair short! (and his eyes green. too many characters have blue eyes. what is it with SE obsession with blue eyes!?)

All 3 of them basically hit puberty after the events of KH. Although they have not aged that much physically, they changed a lot mentally

That's generally when the effects of puberty start to hit, around their age. People generally change alot around that time as puberty makes them grow and they experience big changes in their body. Like for example, my friend. He was around about 14, I hadn't seen him in a year and one day he came over to my house. I really, really couldn't tell it was him. He acted the same, but appearance wise he looked much, much older and taller.

 

The effects of puberty can have a dramatic effect of your appearance, even if it is just within the period of a year.

I what like to pose a question to you all. Do you think we will see the three of them age again since we have seen them at three different ages so far? we might see them at the age Terra and Aqua are in BBS which is like 20 i think.

 

Personally I think Aqua was about 17-18 and Terra was about 19-20, but anyway. I think eventually we will see them older, around the age Terra and Aqua were as you said. But I don't think we will see that happen until after the Xehanort Chronicles finishes and a new saga in the Kingdom Hearts series starts.

The only thing that bugs me is that soras voice is deeper in REcom then in KH2, when chronologically, Recom came first.
