Even though this doesn't prove that kingdom hearts 3 will be at e3 this year, it's undeniable that it has narrowed what kind of video games could beSony's "Big announcements"; therefore, giving kingdom hearts 3 a more likely chance at being at e3 2017, since it's a Japanese video game

Well KH3 is likely to come out next year. It is also likely that there may be two trailers if that rumor is true.

One at Sony's and one at Square Enix.

Bring on the KH3 and FFVII Remake news!

Ah, just imagine it. KH3 and FFVII at Sony's conference, alongside God of War, Spider-Man, Crash, Marvel vs Capcom, and whatever else they got. It'll be a dream come true.

Not to forget Life is Strange, Assassin's Creed. That would be the best E3 ever.

Uncharted and mayby they will reveal Spyro.

just realized something

guys, even though this information suggests that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be at e3 this year, we have to consider this information http://kh13.com/news/series-director-tetsuya-nomura-says-that-kingdom-hearts-iiis-release-is-still-a-while-away

When considering this, it's possible that kh3 won't show up at e3 due to its current developmental status.

Of course, The development speed could have changed drastically from then til now since we haven't gotten a word of kh3's development in a few months.

but that's only a possibility

guess at the end we'll have to just wait and see

There's always the possibility that it won't appear but at the same time, that interview means nothing in terms of E3. It was mainly said that the release is just awhile away, but trailers are also meant to show how the game looks right now, reveal certain things, etc. That's why it's actually smart to distribute new information every now and then, to keep the hype going and also, in a way, to show progress.

That's why it doesn't really need rumors to expect something out of E3 after the last real trailer has been published a long while ago and it would not be wrong to increase people's awareness that KH3 is still a thing. Especially those who are not following every tiny little announcement but mainly rely on these large events. Since there are people who like KH but aren't exactly absorbed in it. And if you look at quite a few articles from gaming websites what people want from E3, it's rather apparent that KH3 is not exactly on their list. What better way to change that?

As you said, there's always the possibility that it won't appear since nothing has been confirmed so far, but it's also not unreasonable to hope for something with 2.8 out of the way. But at the same time, you are right that such information should be treated carefully since there are so many things from Japan and it could even be something entirely new.

KINGDOM HEARTS III, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Ape Escape 4, Shin Megami Tensei, Devil May Cry 5, The Bouncer 2, nuff said :].

Bring it on! Let's get some Kingdom Hearts III At E3 along with Final Fantasy VII Remake

we also have to take in consideration this information too

that video was made back in 2016 when Nomura said that they will have non-stop kingdom hearts news in 2017. So far, this statement has been an exaggeration, but it also proofs that kh3 may have a more likely chance of appearing at e3 this year and also hints that there will be at least a lot of kh news during and post e3, which actually supports the recent rumors of kh3 appearing at e3 and it being able to advertise itself with lots of news and information post e3.

I think Normua meant to say that there will be non-stop kingdom hearts 3 news after its possible appearance at e3.

I agree with you that it is definitely that should be considered since they could have easily postponed it, but at the same time I can't help but think that those kind of announcements cannot be taken as face value anymore. Things seem to change so quickly as seen with the winter announcements which did not happen in the end. Unless they meant that one screenshot we got, which would be ridiculous to announce at the end of a trailer.

I'm just not sure what to trust in terms of news concerning the future. I do have faith in the interviews regarding the game itself, but their schedules don't seem as precise.

Still, you are right that marketing will start sooner or later and we will probably reach a point where we will get "non-stop" KH3 news. I just don't know when that will be because once we reach that point, the game likely won't be released toward the end of the within 3 years or so announcement but rather in the next 1- 1 1/2 years. Because it wouldn't make sense to hype people up with that much information and then go MIA for a year or two again.

That being said, I still believe we will receive at least something. Maybe not an entirely new trailer, but something.
