By now aqua could have had like a bajillion ways to escape the realm of darkness.  Everyone else that we know of escaped from it - Riku, Mickey, Ansem the wise...but why not aqua

 

A conversation between Vexen, Zexion, and Lexaeus enlightens us on how there are ways to escape - 

 

Zexion:"His existence - it was once doubled in the darkness."

Vexen:"Fascinating... That's why you mistook him for the Superior. The dark power given to Riku facilitated his escape from its realm."

 

 - from this information, using the darkness can help you escape from the dark realm.  Vexen continues as to why he appeared in C.O.

 

Zexion:"What I want to know is why he appeared here in Castle Oblivion."

Vexen:"That's really quite simple.  His existence resonates with that of another hero."

 

In an earlier cutscene, we see Riku using a card to escape.

 Mickey uses the same thing to reach Riku.

 

So why can't Aqua get out?  She could use a card as well, and since Vexen's theory seems to be correct, she would be able to appear in C.O because Ventus is there, AND his heart is inside sora's...so why doesn't she get out?

 

Also, why doesn't she use darkness? Ofc she is like those total darkness-phobe, but every heart consists of light and darkness.  Crap, sora even uses the darkness frequently.

Riku and Mickey don't use the cards to escape. They escaped using Corridors of Darkness that were left open by Organization XIII after they accepted the cards DiZ offered them.

 

Secret Ansem's Report 11: "It seems my friend, fighting in the realm of darkness, appeared in Castle Oblivion through a corridor of darkness constructed by Organization XIII. My new ally Riku also effected his return via one of these corridors."

 

But yeah, Aqua is just extremely unlucky. She hasn't found any Corridors of Darkness that have been left open by people or Heartless. She hasn't discovered the Door to Light (maybe only Sora can?) And she won't succumb to the darkness like Ansem the Wise did in order to be able to create Corridors of Darkness to escape. She's unlucky and stubborn lol

She had a chance, but was taken away from Mickey and left trapped. With her resistance to darkness, she cannot use it to create corridors. Plus, there are tools that are needed to get out as Yen Sid told Riku. It is good that Riku and Sora did not know about this stuff until later. If not Riku, then Sora would do something stupid and get himself trapped or worse because, unfortunately, he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to intelligence and thinking things through.

She's seen what happened to Terra. I'm pretty sure she would rather stay stuck in the RoD then take a chance at that.

There are three types of people when it comes to dealing with darkness:

1- People that accept it and fall for it --> Master Riku (previously), Terra, and Sora

2- People that fight it with all cost and regret it --> Master Aqua, Master Eraqus and Ventus

​3- People that accept it, control it and use it for their own advantage --> Master Xehanort, Master Riku (now) and Lea 

 

Master Riku is able to control his dark powers and we can clearly see that at the final events of KHII and KH3D, not to mention that he fell into darkness powers on previous events which made it easier for him to use corridor of darkness to escape not to mention that he and was lucky to have the support of both Ansem the Wise and King Mickey 

​Sora uses his dark powers because he is not able to control them, thus Anti-form, and because of his inability to control them and the lack of experience regarding dark powers, he can fall easily but even if he fell, it wont be easy to escape from the realm of darkness, and how he escaped in KHII was merely a luck since his love, none other than the princess of heart, Kairi, was there to open the door to the light by her letter and save him and Riku. 

​Ansem the Wise didn't escape from the realm of darkness after the events of Black Point, but if you were referring to his first escape, then it's simply because he was using the dark powers.

 

​In other words, the main two reasons on why Master Aqua wasn't able to escape yet, is because she was unlucky and could never use the darkness for her own advantage but rather fight it until she finds her way to the light by sticking to the light power (such purity )
