Favorite and least favorite Disney movie

Posted

Just some random Disney discussion. What is your favorite movie? Which is your least favorite?

My favorites have to be The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch.

And my least favorite is Chicken Little. I hated this movie.

Featured Replies

I like Lion King as well, Hunchback of Notre dame.

My least favorite is. I can’t think of one.

I have three favorites.

Lion King because every time I see it on tv and my father is there, we watch it together.

Second one is Aladdin. Always loved Genie! And the songs!

And Hercules because I love Hades so much.

My least favorite one? To tell the truth I haven't seen many disney movies in a long time, so I could tell.

This is honestly really hard. Cause for me it always changes. And I like a lot of them for different reasons.

I would have to include most of the Disney Renaissance in my favorites. They are the ones I am most nostalgic for given that I am a 90s kid. And I still think that was the best decade for Disney movies (I might be biased but I feel a lot of Disney fans would agree with me.

My least favorite ones are probably from either the dark age or the experimental era. Even though I love plenty of films from these "eras" as well (Honestly the experimental era might be my second favorite, it just has some movies that are....not as good in it). Maybe Home on the Range or Chicken Little? I don't know, I have not seen them in a while.

My favorite Disney movies are:

  • Treasure Planet
  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire
  • Wreck-It Ralph
  • Big Hero 6
  • Tangled
  • The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
  • Mulan
  • The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
  • The Emperor's New Groove
  • Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search For Christopher Robin
  • Piglet's Big Movie
  • A Goofy Movie and it's sequel
  • Mickey's Once/Twice Upon A Christmas
  • Chicken Little
  • Tarzan
  • Meet The Robinsons

Least favorites...I can't say that I have any! I've pretty much enjoyed every Disney film I've watched so far! :)

Awesome list!

I love The Search For Christopher Robin.

I have a top 3 of my all-time favourites if not counting Pixar.

1. Tarzan & The Lion King

2. Big Hero 6

3. The Search For Christopher Robin

then the top 10 continues . . . Brother Bear :3

Least Favourite

Ive seen a few I didn't like, but out all of their films I'm mostly good with them.

It mostly has to do with weak storytelling or it being mean spirited.

Mine is hunchback of notre dame because Frollo is the best villian disney has ever made and It handels the religious themes better than some academic papers.

Least favorite would be all of the sequels, there are some execptions like lion king 2 but most of the time they are uninspired cashgrabs and I pretend like most people that they dont Exist (which is something I like about kingdom hearts aswell they know nobody has any fond memories of those movies which is why none of them have ever apeared)

treasure Planet I see you are a man of culture aswell.

Hm... I'm stuck between Lilo and Stitch and Beauty and the Beast for my favorite Disney movie

My least favorite Disney movie would be Atlantis... I liked it but it's not something I'd watch again...

Thanks! And yesss, I know, that movie is a classic! I remember having watched it again last year after who knows how long! I hadn't seen that film since childhood, and I remember having seen it countless times back then! And now with Christopher Robin set to come out this August, it'll bring a whole new level of feels! :D

Ooh, sweet, that's a good list you've got there too! I agree, Brother Bear is also a good film, a classic in its own right, and its sequel is also pretty good, if you haven't watched it!

Ah, and I see. Well, everyone has films they don't like, so not even Disney is immune to this ages old fact. X3

Heck to the yes, brother! You can bet your Keyblade that I love Treasure Planet! That film is seriously, dangerously and unceremoniously underrated! It deserved more love than it got, I don't know why critics butchered the movie so! The same went with Atlantis! Disney was aiming for a different style of storytelling back then, but I guess those films were ahead of their time, and people simply weren't ready for them!

But I'll always remember...Jimbo and Silver...*Sniffles.*

Oh yeah, definitely, Hunchback definitely has one of Disney's most amazing villains, and like you said, the film handles the topic of religion realistically and surprisingly well, ya know?

Oh, yeah, Lion King 2 is definitely an amazing sequel, and Brother Bear 2 is also good! And the Cinderella sequels, particularly the third one: A Twist In Time, are very good as well!
