What if for kingdom hearts 3 we had only new Disney films/ worlds as so far we mostly have the CGI films Toy story, monsters inc, tangled, frozen and Big Hero 6 and the only old classic now is Hercules. There is still lots of films from the 20th century that square could use. So why are they just going for the new films for kingdom hearts 3?

There's still The Jungle Book which hasn't appeared yet, but might appear in KH3.

I remember Nomura said a while ago that a larger amount of the worlds in KH3 are based on newer films than in previous games. But that doesn't mean that we won't see one or two worlds based on classic films.

The Jungle Book seems to be the world everyone is hoping for, myself included. They've tried to include it two times before in the series, which makes me feel like we will see it at some point or another.

Well as you said the game mostly has only new worlds. The only returning worlds so far are Olympus and The Caribbean which for their looks can be kinda considered as new worlds as well IMO. The essence of these returning worlds and make them feel new but familiar gives a track of nostalgia for longtime fans of the series thus making the game more exciting and lovable.

I see what you mean but I think the reason is since the last KH game alot of new Disney movies have come out and since the very first KH game they've never really been able to use newer movies so they are taking the chance now. Not to say there won't be any older Disney movies in it or returning worlds like Olympus and Pirates of the Caribbean but I think they just want a change of pace. Personally I love all the movies they picked as worlds.
