KH3 was supposed to be a end

People take that argument and hyperbolize it to "it wasn't a real conclusion"

I mean, the only thing that concluded really was Xehanort himself

It concluded other things I guess

Also BBS trio and Days trio’s suffering

Like Lingering Will and the revival of the reject cast

Which was done blazingly fast

January 25th 2019:

Nomura: Thank you. KH3 is, if I had to say, "the story of taking down Master Xehanort." As such, it is the conclusion of the Dark Seeker Chronicle, and serves as an emphatic piece of punctuation to the series. Many mysteries are resolved.

August 23rd 2018:

With the weight of high expectations from fans on Nomura's shoulders, he knows that the series will have to go above and beyond in order to satisfy fans, which includes pushing the original elements of the Kingdom Hearts narrative to the forefront of the game: “The original stuff has grown and multiplied over the years, so there are more opportunities where the player has to be exposed to it,” the director elaborates. “The fans now have even higher expectations towards the original elements than before.”

May 18th 2018:

Nomura: It's in the title: hearts. The consistent theme across the whole series is "What is a heart?" In KH3, in addition to that, there is a big theme of "resolution" everything that has happened so far.

June 26th 2015:

Nomura: Because KINGDOM HEARTS III is a culmination of everything so far, everyone is aware that they want a finale. Because of this and in order to put an end to it, I believe it shouldn’t be disappointing.

July 8th 2013:

Nomura : When I created the first KINGDOM HEARTS, I did not have a clear vision of the history of the Seeker of Darkness, but I was already thinking of the KINGDOM HEARTS II and Chain of Memories. I knew at that time that there were two additional games after the first KINGDOM HEARTS. Later, when I finished KINGDOM HEARTS Chain of Memories, I had other plans: Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days and coded. This is kind of what happened in the history of the series: I did not have a clear idea of the whole story from the beginning, but it is built over time. About the history of the Seeker of Darkness, I knew long ago that it would end in KINGDOM HEARTS III, and also, I've always wanted so KINGDOM HEARTS III on a console.

I mean it did that, just either good or bad depending on who you ask.

That's basically it

this gets me a lot:

wtf nomura san

What bothers me is just how much time the game wastes expositing on frankly irrelevant shit

same level as "we didn't know the fans would be more excited by Aqua than frozen"

If you're not going to reveal to us what's in the box, can you just not mention it in every interval

From where I’m sitting now, I’m pretty sure Let it Go is more at a forefront than 20% of twilight town is pain

Frozen world was easily the low point I’m glad we’re all in agreement there

But that’s because of Disney’s stranglehold

If you're not going to actually reveal to us what Marluxia's and Larxene's "keyblade legacy" really is, can we not waste 15 minutes on it?

You know, stuff like that

Once again, I think this stuff will be more appreciated later on when it actually gets answers

That’s what always happens with this series

Hindsight is 20/20, as they say

But I'll never forget how much time KH3 wastes

i hope it doesn't in all honesty. we're in a permanent state of waiting in this franchise

Nomura can’t help himself when it comes to laying down breadcrumbs

where is my damn pay off

In one of the next games

The ride never ends buddy
