Can’t trust a promise

Just look at interviews of his from all the E3s, they tell you a lot by themselves

In the end I don't think promises have much to do with it

The man created a game to literally set up KH3 as the final confrontation

Maybe but marketing kinda went in with making Kairi look like a big deal,admittedly

Infact,marketing did a lot of things

And then didn't really go all out with anything but the most major plot thread

Like the final battle trailer that was overseen

Nah, you can't blame this all on marketing

Of course the trailers were terrible

i mean

you sort of can

marketing is used to show you aspects of a product

You kinda can,tbh.. they coulda held back? ? A lot of the Kairi expectations came due to the KH3 marketing

Kairi was barely in the trailers

She was in the last one iirc

Kairi was shown since E3

Kairi had been hyped since DDD

She was.. but do you know how hyped people got from those brief moments,Quid?

Those were just showing off her new clothes but sure

it had to do purely with her in 3d secert ending for me

Very hyped

Fanart really picked up for Kairi when the marketing portrayed it as it did,though for me, I’d say I did expect something since DDD

So we're not gonna blame the piss poor writing and story but instead the trailers?

You can feel free to blame both

But if I had to pin it on something it wouldn't be the trailers

Writing aside,since I don’t know what else to say since you know what I think anyway.. I say trailers are part of the problem with many factors

Didn't Kairi get her keyblade at the end of 2 and say it was her turn to fight?

I suppose you can say that raised expectations, but then again you have to ask:

Why did the game not live up to its own hype?

Ultimately, hype kinda falls on the person who’s gonna play it.. Some people kinda go in without hype
