Basically I think it'll have the opposite problem of KH3, i.e not enough plot and too much time

I just had a thought about potentially having Re:UX as the next side game: UX is a game that has at best around an hours worth of legit plot, and even within the main scenario there's waffle like "shift pride" or whatever it's called, so it's closer to 45 minutes let's say.

Basically, how on earth does anyone expect a potential 20 hour game to be any good when the source material is so limited? And moreover, if it's expanded to 20 hours, how little story will be left for the main scenario of KH4?

This is why I don't think it's a huge issue for UX to have a remake. I mean first of all by the time KH4 comes out it probably won't be enough story to seriously impact the player. It would be just like not playing com between KH1 and KH2.

Definitely! I think the best route is to have the sidegame potentially be the DDD 2 and then KH4 being the showdown game.

So we wait longer for exciting new stuff, and.... yeah with that I am now completely put off the idea

Yes, essentially 3.5 is a build up with the focus on the various mysteries and introducing the characters into this new saga
