I know one thing. After KH3 Critical. I started using block a-lot more when I want back to KH1

i think the problem in 3 is more that the fights are a little bit chaotic. bc and enemy that wants to attack donald and goofy could also hit you bc you could be in the attack range

If you get caught in a multi hit attack, sure getting killed is fair game

If you get hit once and die

That is unfair

the game really pushes you to use cc options like links and attraction flow.

Like. During animations

Sometimes it isnt, that is true

but for the most part

you can avoid it

Also, you're mid combo something else

And you get sniped by another

For the times where it’s unavoidable, okay.. yeah, can’t do anything about it.

And you can't easily get out

But most of the time you can mitigate death

Like.. there’s people who no damage this game on bosses

Just because you have a multitude of options does NOT mean that all of them will work out

does it limit the game? if you hold that perspective yes
I dare say the data fights also limited your options per fight but no one has an issue there

And not just the solo fights

you need to learn which tools to use in order to get the farthest distance

demyx which is basically firaga spam
